I've helped so many students achieve their academic goals year after year. I specialize in the areas of Math and Science for elementary, high school and college students. I am well-versed in tutoring elementary school children and upwards, in any topic that is required; particularly common core Math and Science I have kept myself to a high standard as an educator and have always will expect the same from my students. I love working with students and encouraging the best work they can offer! As a teacher, I have been able to reach a myriad of ages within a diverse socio-economic group of students. Daily, I have been allowed to learn the best strategies and implement them in my teaching experience I had my first degree in Chemical Engineering in 2012 I did a post graduate diploma in Education I also have a Masters degree in Science Education I am a registered teacher I chose teaching as a profession because I love the impact one can have on individual children and touch lives. Of course it’s a great responsibility, but at the same time I cannot imagine devoting my life to something else, especially since I love being around learners–which is likely the second reason why I want to be a teacher. In my view, teaching is more a mission than a job really, especially in the uncertain times we live nowadays. I have been teaching all my life! I want to become a teacher because I believe to have the right skills, abilities, and attitude to become a good teacher. And I enjoy teaching, talking to learners, listening to them, trying to understand their emotional world, and be a good role model for them. At the end of the day, we should do a job in which we see some meaningful purpose. I know that I could earn twice as much working in some big corporation analyzing some data or sitting at a computer programming another mobile application, the billionth on the app store…. But I just don’t see a point in such type of work. Teaching is a completely different story- -you are impacting real lives!

I enjoy Mathematics and Computer Programming. I am comfortable in tutoring Mathematics and English and engineering modules from basic up to undergraduate level. I have tutored kids with special needs and thus I have experience with varying teaching modules to suit diverse needs. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and a Masters degree in Data Science from the University of Aberdeen. I have always been active and I really enjoy dance and other sports, I currently go to the gym a lot and do weightlifting. I also do art in my spare time as it is a fun escape from the hustle and bustle of the everyday! I enjoy going for walks in nature and listening to bird song, I am currently in a big city for uni so I do enjoy the little moments of peace the most. I’m currently a first year BSc Geography student at university, this subject has always been one of my interests, as I studied it at GSCE and A-Level also. My A-level subjects were: English Combined, Geography and Spanish. I really enjoyed English and miss studying it at uni, therefore, tutoring in this subject will be perfect for me, as I can stay up to date with the subject. As I studied Spanish at A-Level, I now also have an understanding of the language and culture, my goal is to be fluent in Spanish and travel the spanish speaking world!

Hi, I’m Lily and I’m a 19 year old student at the University of Leeds currently on my second year of completing the joint-honours degree of Spanish and International Relations. I have a passion for tutoring and I have been doing it for years in multiple different secondary schools, so I know how to engage with students and adapt my teaching methods to the particular student to ensure they can achieve the highest grade possible in a fun and relaxed setting.
