My course is pretentiously named International Social and Public Policy with Politics and it encapsulates my adoration for all things maths, politics and economics and I would love the opportunity to pass on my interests to others. I tutor GCSE Maths and A-level Politics Exam board experience: Edexcel and AQA I have experience tutoring KS3 and sixth-form (11-18) My main aims as a tutor are to engage students with content that challenges them in a rewarding way, but also connect them to content that facilitates a change in their mindset. My hobbies range from poker and chess to schooling my friends at the pool table. They would say I’m competitive but that’s an advantage as it means I strive for greatness and even I fail the process and its lessons are invaluable. To grow academically requires set-backs and knowing how to respond appropriately is vital. That along with a quality education is what I am to instil in your student. Hi, I'm currently a first-year Medical student at Imperial College London with over three years of tutoring experience across GCSEs, A-levels, and the UCAT. Having sat these exams relatively recently myself, I understand the challenges students face because I've been through them. I know how overwhelming revision can feel, how difficult certain topics can seem at first, and what examiners are really looking for. This perspective allows me to relate to my students and provide practical advice that goes beyond simply teaching the content. I began tutoring shortly after completing my own GCSEs and A-levels, and since then I have worked with students of different abilities and learning styles, including students with ADHD. One of the things I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student's confidence grow over time. Academic success often comes from believing in your own ability, and I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and challenging themselves. Before each lesson, I carefully review a student's progress, identify areas for improvement, and plan sessions around their individual goals. My teaching style is patient, engaging, and highly personalised, with a focus on building a strong conceptual understanding while remaining exam-focused throughout. This ensures that every lesson is productive, targeted, and tailored to the student's needs. During lessons, I encourage active participation rather than passive learning. I use a variety of resources, including visual explanations, worked examples, exam questions, and interactive discussions to help students fully understand difficult concepts. I believe that when students truly understand a topic, they are far more likely to retain information and apply it successfully in exams. Outside of lessons, I provide guidance on revision techniques, independent study, and exam strategy. Whether you're aiming to improve your confidence, achieve top grades at GCSE or A-level, or prepare for the UCAT and medical school applications, I am committed to helping you reach your goals and fulfil your potential. I am currently studying Medicine at Imperial College London, one of the UK's leading medical schools. My academic journey has been driven by a passion for learning and a commitment to achieving high standards. At A-level, I achieved three A* grades in Biology (AQA), Chemistry (AQA), and Mathematics (Edexcel) . At GCSE, I achieved nine Grade 9s, including Triple Science (AQA), Mathematics (Edexcel), Further Mathematics (Edexcel), English Language (AQA), English Literature (AQA), Computer Science, Geography, Religious Education, and Design & Technology. Having completed GCSEs and A-levels relatively recently, I have a strong understanding of current specifications, exam techniques, and the challenges students face. I know first-hand what it takes to achieve top grades and gain admission to a competitive university course, allowing me to provide students with practical, up-to-date advice alongside subject knowledge. As a medical student, I continue to develop my expertise in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific reasoning. Studying medicine has strengthened my ability to break down complex concepts into simple, understandable explanations, a skill that is invaluable when helping students overcome difficult topics. Alongside my studies, I have over three years of tutoring experience across GCSE and A-level subjects, particularly Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. I also have experience supporting students preparing for the UCAT and medical school applications. Working with a wide range of students, including those with ADHD, has enabled me to develop a flexible and student-centred approach that adapts to different learning styles and needs. My specialisms include the sciences, mathematics, and UCAT preparation. By combining strong academic credentials with extensive tutoring experience, I aim to help students build confidence, develop effective study habits, and achieve the grades they are capable of attaining.

I’m an incoming Medicine student at King’s College London with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in helping students build confidence and achieve their goals. I have experience tutoring and mentoring younger students in Maths and English, and I enjoy breaking difficult topics down into clear, manageable steps. I’m patient, approachable and adaptable, and I tailor my teaching style to each student rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Outside academics, I enjoy football and other sports, and I’ve developed strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills through these activities. I have recently completed my A Levels at St. Olave's Grammar School in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, achieving A*AA, alongside an EPQ focused on neuroscience and the effects of smartphone use on the brain. In my GCSE's, I achieved 8 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s and a Grade 7. I hold an unconditional offer to study Medicine at King’s College London and will begin the course following my gap year. My studies have given me a strong foundation in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, particularly at GCSE and A Level standard, as well as experience with independent research, critical thinking and scientific writing. I am also familiar with the demands of competitive university applications, including the UCAT and medical school interviews.

Hi, I’m Stephen, a medical student at the University of Nottingham with a strong interest in science and education. I achieved an A in A Level Chemistry and continue to develop and apply my scientific knowledge throughout my medical studies. Having been through GCSEs and A Levels myself, I understand that knowing the content is only part of doing well in Chemistry. Exam technique is just as important. Students can understand a topic well but still lose marks because they do not know what the question is asking for, how to structure their answer or which key words the mark scheme expects. I therefore place a strong focus on exam questions, mark schemes, identifying common mistakes and learning how to turn knowledge into marks. I also believe that Chemistry does not have to feel intimidating or boring. With clear explanations and the right approach, Chemistry can be fun and it is absolutely a subject you can do well in. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, getting things wrong and gradually building their confidence. My approach is patient and adaptable because every student learns differently. Alongside tutoring, I have experience mentoring university students, which has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly and support people towards their goals. Outside of Medicine and studying, I am a big football fan and enjoy running. I recently completed a half marathon, so I understand the value of consistency, discipline and gradually improving over time. I try to bring the same mindset into tutoring. You do not need to understand everything immediately. With consistent practice and the right guidance, progress follows. My goal is to help students understand Chemistry, master their exam technique and become confident enough to work towards grades 7 to 9. I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Nottingham, where I have developed a strong scientific foundation across areas including Chemistry, Biology, physiology and human health. My degree has strengthened my analytical thinking, problem solving and communication skills, all of which I bring into my tutoring. Before starting Medicine, I completed A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, achieving an A in Chemistry. Chemistry has always been one of my strongest subjects and remains an area I enjoy teaching. My current medical studies allow me to continue applying scientific concepts at university level, while my experience mentoring students has helped me develop a patient, clear and supportive approach to explaining difficult topics and improving exam technique.

Hi! I am a current medical student who enjoys and is passionate about learning. I am hoping to help develop a similar love for learning within tutees that motivates them to want to understand what they are learning. I specialise in tutoring mainly in Biology, Psychology, Chemistry, and Math. Having studied the IBDP, I understand the benefit of a good comprehension and understanding so that they can not just work through one subject, but also balance a multitude of subjects and extracurricular activities, especially as a busy secondary student. This will then provide them with greater critical understanding and knowledge to help them to get to where they want to be academically. I hope to get to know the student so that I can provide specific student-centred tuition that matches the style of teaching and learning as closely as possible to allow the student to learn and understand the material much more effectively and efficiently. Outside of learning to help wind down, I enjoy sports, particularly netball and football. As well as reading and listening to music. I studied the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at school. Studying Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology at Higher level, and then Math AI, Spanish Ab Initio and English Literature at standard level. I achieved 40 points, including 7s in Math and Psychology, and 6s in the others. As well as an A in my world studies (Biology and Economics) extended essay on the treatment of Parkinson's Disease using Levodopa. I am an incoming 2nd-year medical student at the University of Aberdeen, and I passed first year with all A's, earning a distinction for the year. During the year, I completed a project on Delirium vs Dementia, also earning a distinction. I have also previously tutored some SEN students, including a student with autism and ADHD.
