Hello! I’m an experienced English Language and Literature tutor and an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher with over five years of teaching experience. For the past three years, I’ve also successfully prepared students for the 11+ exam. I hold a First Class Honours BA in English and American Literature from the University of Kent, Canterbury, and a TESOL certification from Arizona State University. Currently, I’m working on my master’s thesis in Educational Studies at KU Leuven University in Belgium. Personal Interests: I’m an avid reader and love writing poetry in my spare time. Hi, I'm Mona! A little about me; I tutor Primary and GCSE-level students in English. Right now, I'm more focused on GCSE students. I have in-depth knowledge in English literature from Shakespearean plays like Macbeth to War and Conflict Poems, and more. I'm fluent in English, write a lot, and I absolutely love creative writing so that comes in handy when guiding students through revision for the English Language Paper. I'm also familiar with exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, and Eduqas. What I love most about my tutoring sessions is that from the onset, my students and I try to make learning not feel like a chore. We strive to not only achieve the educational goals we set out but we make it so that the main objective is to learn and understand, not just pass a test. I am currently in University for my Bachelor's but I graduated from the equivalent of UK A-Levels with honours. I am a final year Dental Student with numerous and continuous patient experience. I’ve had the opportunity to mentor and coach young people in sports such as Netball & Basketball; building skills that allowed them to thrive in competitions and develop not only as athletes but also as compassionate individuals. I have been tutoring for more than 5 years, i currently have graduated from University with a degree within Public Health going on to do my masters. Helping others has always been something Ive tried to do wherever possible and is one of the main reasons why Ive tutored in the past and also why I want to become a Doctor. I am a determined and goal orientated individual who enjoys achieving fulfilment through completing tasks and activities. Hello! My name is Kiera and i have a first class degree in Modern History. I am still at university working towards my masters degree now! Like you when, i was in school i needed tutoring to build up my confidence and subject knowledge, and without the tutoring i had ,i truly do not think i would be where i am today- and have such a passion for learning. While i love learning- i am human and need some winding down time. My favourite hobby is exercise and second to that is cooking as it lets my creative side come out!
