Hi! I’m Gracy, a third-year Law student at the University of Warwick! I’ve been tutoring for over six years and love helping students build confidence, deepen their understanding, and reach their academic goals- whether that’s preparing for exams or simply feeling more comfortable with a subject. Hi! I’m Alice, an enthusiastic and passionate English Literature tutor. I love exploring stories, characters and different interpretations of texts, and I particularly enjoy helping students become more confident in expressing their own ideas. I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I believe lessons should be engaging, supportive and give students the confidence to develop their own opinions. My experience as a primary school teacher has taught me the importance of building positive relationships with students and understanding that everyone learns differently. I want my students to feel comfortable, supported and confident in their lessons, whilst I help them to discover what they enjoy about learning and achieve their goals. I'm excited to be part of your learning journey! I have a First Class Honours degree in Drama and English Literature, alongside a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). My degree gave me a strong academic foundation in English Literature, while studying Drama developed my communication, presentation and analytical skills. I'm currently a veterinary medicine student at university, slated to graduate in 2030. I have two younger brothers and have always been one of those strange children who enjoyed going to school for the learning, not just the fun. Outside of education I am a knitter, a crocheter, a badminton player, and an avid creative writer. I was involved in Scouts for two years and was part of the National Honour Society in high school, a society for students in American high schools that select members based on four pillars: academics, character, service, and leadership. I enjoy explaining things and hope to ensure that my students gain a greater appreciation of the subject matter, but I will settle for getting them through their exams if that's all they want. I attended CAJ, an international high school in Japan that following the American curriculum. I took 10 AP subjects, which are slightly narrower in scope but no less thorough in depth than A levels, and scored 5s (highest score) in all but English language, where I scored a 3 (pass mark). The AP subjects I took were Japanese, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, Physics 1, Physics 2, Chemistry, Biology, English Language and Comprehension, and English Literature and Composition.

I am currently accepting students from (i)GCSE to A-Level and IB. My main subject is English - which I am currently studying at degree leve! I am also able to tutor for verbal and non-verbal reasoning for the 11+. I have previous experience working with neurodiverse people and making education more accessible is something I am super passionate about. I am currently attending the University of York and am studying for a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Philosophy. My name is Whitman, and I am a third-year at the University of Chicago studying Astrophysics and Economics with a minor in Classics. Originally born in New York City, I grew up in London my entire life where I completed the IB Diploma. Outside of academics, I row at UChicago, play piano, and love to read.
