Hi! My name is Tom, I'm a 23 year old History graduate with a passion for teaching and assisting others by utilising my extensive knowledge of various periods of history and historical topics. During my studies I have focused on topics such as medicine, American expansionism, British Politics (18thC, 19thC, 20thC and 21stC), Soviet Russia, China and many many more! I am sure that whatever is needed of me, I'll be able to assist to the best of my abilities! I am a student teacher of Modern Studies (a mix of Politics, Criminology and Sociology), and have taught this at Higher level (A-levels for English schools) in school. I have also taught History and Geography, and I aim to dual-qualify as a History teacher soon. My undergraduate degree is in History and Politics at Stirling University. I have recently finished my PGDE (the additional teaching qualification - PGCE in England) at the University of Glasgow. Prior to teaching, I worked for elected representatives in both the UK and Scottish Parliaments, and have also worked in Communications for different organisations. I have just graduated from Warwick University with a first in my History and Politics degree at Warwick Uni and will be continuing my studies with a Master's in History. I also act as a mentor in both subjects at my University. I take Harvard courses in Computer Science (and small bits of maths) to boost my studies. I read way too many books in my free time and I currently also work as a Library Student Partner at my University which has included working on projects for students at both university and school, as well as working on projects specifically designed for neurodivergent students.
