Hello! I’m Ayan, a medical student with a genuine love for learning and helping others succeed. I’ve been tutoring since 2022, and over that time, I’ve had the chance to work with students from all kinds of backgrounds and learning styles. Seeing someone go from feeling unsure to feeling confident in their studies is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. As a medical student, I’ve learned how to break down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand ideas a skill that’s incredibly useful when teaching. I’m patient, hardworking, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure my students truly grasp what they’re learning. I also understand how stressful school and exams can be, so I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe that learning should never feel impossible or intimidating. With the right guidance and mindset, anyone can improve and achieve their goals. Whether you need help understanding science concepts, preparing for exams, or building better study habits, I’m here to help you every step of the way. If you’re looking for a tutor who’s reliable, approachable, and passionate about helping you grow, I’d love to work with you. Together, we’ll make learning feel not only manageable but genuinely enjoyable. I specialize in Biology, Maths, Physics, and Science, and I teach students at the following levels: Primary Lower (KS1) Primary Higher (KS2) Secondary Lower (KS3) Secondary Higher (KS4-5) This allows me to work with students from their early years through to advanced secondary education, supporting them with foundational skills or more challenging material. I focus on creating lessons tailored to each student’s level and learning style, ensuring that concepts are both understandable and engaging. My background as a medical student has strengthened my knowledge of the sciences and given me experience in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and structured learning. I bring these skills into my tutoring sessions to help students not only prepare for exams but also develop a deep understanding of the subjects they are studying. Whether it’s helping a young learner build confidence in Maths, guiding a secondary student through complex Biology topics, or exploring Physics and Science concepts in a clear and approachable way, I aim to make learning productive and enjoyable. My teaching approach is structured, patient, and adaptable, designed to meet the individual needs of every student. With a strong foundation in education and a passion for teaching, I’m committed to supporting my students in reaching their full academic potential.

With experience in tutoring all the way up to Undergraduate level in Mathematics, Engineering and Physics, I can provide a high level of support and assistance in these fields. I am currently working towards a Doctorate in Engineering with the Universities of Exeter, Warwick, and Cranfield. After completing my A Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Geography, I completed a bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering achieving a First-Class degree in which I developed a smart electronic prosthetic system using soft robotics. Alongside my academic experience, I have developed a wide portfolio in my field. From industrial experience in Formula One to renewable energy generation, Artificial Intelligent systems and plant-based wetsuit designs, I am able to provide insights and the knowledge you need pursue Science and Engineering after your A Levels and GCSEs if you wish. I don’t just tutor and research all day either! I (try to!) surf as much as I can and I also work on various wildlife film projects, many being underwater shoots. I’m not here to judge you on your abilities. There are no stupid questions. I won’t be shouting equations at you. I like to work in a relaxed and supportive environment where we can focus on your needs and targets together while tailoring the sessions for you so that we can achieve our goals. During my time on Gostudent, I have clocked several hundred sessions, setup a purpose built tutoring desk environment with multiple cameras/ lighting to aid in tutoring and taken students from low confidence and little understanding to a point where some even chose to pursue their once hated subjects at higher level and are excelling at university/ new careers. I am confident in my tutoring abilities, have been recommended by multiple parents and become invested in my students to do the best they can. It saddens me to say I will no longer be taking any new students or trial sessions while Gostudent continue with their decision not to pay tutors for trial sessions MSc in Sustainable Materials BEng in Electronic and Electrical Engineering During my time on Gostudent, I have clocked several hundred sessions, setup a purpose built tutoring desk environment with multiple cameras/ lighting to aid in tutoring and taken students from low confidence and little understanding to a point where some even chose to pursue their once hated subjects at higher level and are excelling at university/ new careers. I'm Joe a, final year politics student at the Univeristy of Liverpool. During my time at university and before I've enjoyed tutoring originally only in person but for the last three years with GoStudent, aside from this, I'm currently involved with multiple societies such as the Ski, Badminton and Pool societies. Moreover, my interest in politics and social sciences is not confined to my degree, I enjoy reading on these topics outside of the University reading list, particularly history. Through this variety of interests, tutoring is something which simultaneously benefits from them and aids them by expanding my own understanding of these topics. Therefore tutoring is more akin to a hobby than a job for me due to my enjoyment of it. Throughout, my academic career I have enjoyed a wide range of subjects. originally my interests were only in history, and although this is still a favourite, my areas of knowledge have grown more varied. For instance, I'm now studying politics at university, which has been a great eye-opener. Furthermore studying politics has brought me into contact with more areas of study such as economics, media, business and geography. However, I have studied all of these to varying levels before university. My interest has led to me attaining a 2:1 grade each year of study. Moreover last year I spent a year in industry at Liverpool City Council putting the theory into practice further adding to my understanding of all the subjects mentioned above. Finally, tutoring has only added to my academic knowledge, they say the best way to learn something is to teach it to someone else, and I'm certainly a believer in that.

What is the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme?
The IB Diploma is a two-year educational programme for students aged 16 to 19. It encourages curiosity about the world and the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as providing an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education.
It aims not only to develop students’ knowledge in a range of subjects and disciplines, but helps them become confident, self-motivated and resilient global citizens.
The programme is composed of six academic subject groups along with the Diploma Programme (DP) Core. The DP Core requires students to reflect on the nature of knowledge in a course called Theory of Knowledge (ToK), participate in independent research to produce an Extended Essay (EE), and engage in extracurricular activities related to Creativity, Action and Service (CAS).
What subjects are covered in the IB Diploma Programme?
Subjects are offered at a Standard and Higher Level. Students must pass at least three subjects at Higher Level and a total of six from the following list:
Each subject is scored from 1-7, and up to 3 additional points may be awarded for the ToK essay and the EE. A minimum of 24 points is required to pass, with 45 points the maximum that can be achieved. The CAS does not count towards the final score but must be completed to earn the diploma.
In general, a score of 30 points or higher is considered enough to gain admission to many universities, with more selective universities requiring a score of 40 or higher.
How to get good results in the IB Diploma Programme
The IB Diploma is a rigorous academic programme which many students find challenging, which can lead to overwhelm, a loss of motivation and procrastination.
It’s vital to start early when it comes to preparing for the exams. Revising should ideally be done in short amounts daily and balanced across multiple subjects. Completing past papers will familiarise you with the types of questions asked and improve your exam technique.
Using an IB tutor is a sure path to success as they can teach effective learning strategies, help you gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter, and work with you to develop a realistic and achievable study schedule that will keep you on track throughout the year.
GoStudent has a range of IB tutors that have direct experience in teaching the curriculum and understand the assessment methods. They have a special focus on the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) essay and the Extended Essay, teaching the necessary skills and strategies to succeed in both as well as help across different subjects within the level.
