I’m passionate about teaching and problem-solving. I keep learning new techniques to solve the problems and help students in growing their area. I specialise in Maths and Physics at secondary school level, particularly GCSE. I’ve spent years helping classmates during my own studies and guiding my own children through GCSEs and A-Levels to improve their grades. I completed my school and university education from India and I am a Engineering graduate in Computer Science. I have worked with global corporates in IT sector. As part of my academics subjects Maths and Physics have been always my favourite and I scored A* (UK equivalent) in both.

I am studying Biotechnology at the University of Nottingham and have been tutoring students from KS2 to A-Level for two years. I am passionate about making learning more fun for my pupils because that way they'll learn better. I am very good at explaining difficult concepts in different ways so that all students understand. I did A Levels in Biology (AQA), Chemistry (AQA), Economics (Edexcel). I am in my third year of Biotechnology BSc (Hons) and have studied a variety of modules during my studies that equiped me with relevant knowledge that will allow me to stretch my students who want to know more about science. I help my students reach their maximum potential by focusing on building the skills that they will need to succeed in exams. Exam skills are often the downfall of even very intelligent students. Exams are stressful and unnatural enviroments, but by practicing all types of questions together, my students have gone on to achieve grades that they would not have thought possible.

I am an English student at the University of Nottingham, currently working on my degree, which I intend to further with a Masters degree. I came from Essex, studying for 7 years at KEGS, a top-tier grammar school, where I attained 14 GCSE's, and 3 A-levels. I spent much of that time tutoring and teaching students below me, as I have a great passion for teaching.

Hi I am Albert! I am currently studying for a Master degree in Health Economics at the University of York. I obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics, also from the University of York. My A-Levels were in Mathematics, History and Economics from a college in Leeds. I am excited to tutor in GCSE & A-Level Economics, helping students grasp economic concepts and master their essays needed to succeed in their AQA, OCR and Edexcel exams and beyond. My passion lies in the health sector which requires advanced knowledge of microeconomic and macroeconomic methods including, game theory, demand and producer theory, general equilibrium analysis and equity/equality principles. I am also keen to tutor GCSE & AQA A-Level History, particularly to help students wrestle with the challenges of examining events from an economic perspective. During my A-Levels I studied British Empire 1857-1967 and Germany 1918-1945, whilst during my degree I studied Economic History throughout 1500-2000. I wish to build upon my experiences of tutoring students on the University of York's Next Step Program. I am bilingual in English and Polish. My main interests are basketball where my favourite player is Luka Doncic , Formula 1 where my favourite driver is Charles Leclerc, hiking, cooking and travelling. I obtained a First-Class grade for my Bachelor of Economics degree from The University of York. My best piece of work was my dissertation on medical technology and spending growth in the United States. I proved that TPF is an accurate appropriator of technical progress and concluded that every month, more than $1,000,000,000 is spent on improving medical technology in the USA to help patients! My postgraduate research focuses on the cost-effectiveness and expected value of sampling information with regards Low-Level-Laser Therapy in the treatment of oral mucositis from Head and Neck Cancers. I completed an internship with Hammond Partners London, where I successfully found and linked up talented individuals with roles at hedge funds!

My name is Arcel, and I’m 29 years old. I'm a Math teacher but I can also teach Science (Biology & Chemistry) and Sociology. I like also playing basketball and guitar—two activities that allow me to express myself creatively and stay active. Whether it’s on the basketball court or playing my favorite songs, I enjoy the challenge and the connections these hobbies bring. I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics (BSED-Math) from Northern Mindanao Colleges Inc. in April 2016. Shortly after, I successfully passed the licensure examination for teachers in September 2016. Currently, I am furthering my education by pursuing a Master’s degree in Teaching Mathematics. My passion for mathematics and my dedication to education drive me to help students discover the beauty and relevance of the subject. Teaching is a profession I am deeply committed to, as I believe it is through education that I can make a lasting impact on students' lives. My goal as an educator is not only to help students master mathematical concepts but also to inspire them to develop a genuine interest in the subject. I understand that many students find math challenging, which is why I believe that patience and the right approach are key to helping them overcome obstacles. With a supportive learning environment, students can build confidence and come to appreciate math as a tool for critical thinking and problem-solving. As I continue my graduate studies, I am gaining deeper insights into effective teaching strategies and educational research, which will further enhance my ability to connect with students. I am passionate about creating a classroom atmosphere that fosters active learning, encourages curiosity, and promotes a love for learning. By tailoring my teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles, I strive to ensure that every student feels supported and motivated to succeed. Ultimately, my mission as a teacher is to empower students, helping them not only succeed in mathematics but also appreciate its value in everyday life. I am excited to continue growing in my field and inspire future generations of learners.

What is the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme?
The IB Diploma is a two-year educational programme for students aged 16 to 19. It encourages curiosity about the world and the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as providing an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education.
It aims not only to develop students’ knowledge in a range of subjects and disciplines, but helps them become confident, self-motivated and resilient global citizens.
The programme is composed of six academic subject groups along with the Diploma Programme (DP) Core. The DP Core requires students to reflect on the nature of knowledge in a course called Theory of Knowledge (ToK), participate in independent research to produce an Extended Essay (EE), and engage in extracurricular activities related to Creativity, Action and Service (CAS).
What subjects are covered in the IB Diploma Programme?
Subjects are offered at a Standard and Higher Level. Students must pass at least three subjects at Higher Level and a total of six from the following list:
Each subject is scored from 1-7, and up to 3 additional points may be awarded for the ToK essay and the EE. A minimum of 24 points is required to pass, with 45 points the maximum that can be achieved. The CAS does not count towards the final score but must be completed to earn the diploma.
In general, a score of 30 points or higher is considered enough to gain admission to many universities, with more selective universities requiring a score of 40 or higher.
How to get good results in the IB Diploma Programme
The IB Diploma is a rigorous academic programme which many students find challenging, which can lead to overwhelm, a loss of motivation and procrastination.
It’s vital to start early when it comes to preparing for the exams. Revising should ideally be done in short amounts daily and balanced across multiple subjects. Completing past papers will familiarise you with the types of questions asked and improve your exam technique.
Using an IB tutor is a sure path to success as they can teach effective learning strategies, help you gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter, and work with you to develop a realistic and achievable study schedule that will keep you on track throughout the year.
GoStudent has a range of IB tutors that have direct experience in teaching the curriculum and understand the assessment methods. They have a special focus on the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) essay and the Extended Essay, teaching the necessary skills and strategies to succeed in both as well as help across different subjects within the level.
