Hi, I'm Feolami and to me, teaching is more than just delivering information; it’s about building the confidence to ask the right questions. With years of peer-to-peer mentoring experience coaching students through critical transitions like Year 11s tackling Maths GCSEs or helping younger boarders navigating school life, I pride myself on being an approachable, empathetic, and highly effective tutor. My professional background in client-facing roles also means I can help with not only understanding the material but also present that knowledge with confidence. Let’s work together to reach your goals! I attended Swansea University and achieved a Second Class Honours (Upper) Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering. I finished with ABC in A-Levels for Maths (AQA), Chemistry (OCR) and Biology (AQA) respectively, while in AS-Level (lower 6th form) I achieved AABC for Maths, Chemistry, Biology and French respectively. I completed my GCSEs with 1 A* (Maths), 5 As (Additional Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and French) and 3 Bs (Economics, ICT and English).

Hey !! I am a recent Law graduate interested in pursuing tutoring. Teaching ONLY history at GCSE and lower years! I can teach History at a lower and GCSE and A-Level level and Law at an A-level and undergraduate level. But currently taking on only GCSE and lower years. I have experience in tutoring kids at primary levels in subjects maths and English, which I am also interested to teach. I have had a history of tutoring kids voluntarily at local establishments and siblings for years and have mentoring experience for A-Levels history or arabic reading tutoring and mentoring. I have experience with AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I speak English, Urdu/Hindi and Pashto at a native level of fluency. I have years of informal tutoring which started from a young age during Arabic lessons to A-level mentoring. I prefer the ages from primary to GCSE. I love to watch crime and nature documentaries but I am also interested in fictional books and biographies of great leaders and prominent figures throughout world history. I love a walk through a park on a sunny day and possibly play basketball and football. For GCSE I chose to continue History due to my love for history and my interest in learning about how the events in history shaped society as we know it today. This passion and love for History was carried on for my A-Levels, where alongside this I chose politics to have a better understanding of the political world it is today and how it transformed from the past, since I had love for learning history. Moreover, my curiosity into the working world and how society works and progresses and progressed through history led me to choose sociology to understand the world better and realise the disadvantages and discrimination some sectors of society faces. Alongside my studies, I have participated in multiple social programmes that intended to make a social change such as Envision, which was a programme where I was project manager and researcher for the topic of child resilience and child abuse. which earned me and my team funds from the dragons dens (version of the programme) and placed best team work and research in the finals. Adding more to my passion for helping and spreading awareness on social issues, I wrote a 5000 word dissertation in my A-Levls about the legislative system and racial rights in the UK and how more needs to be done to minimise, at least, racial prejudice. Additional to this, I have had a keen interest in the business world and helped in marketing and project managing our goal and vision to win which lead us to the Young Enterprises semi finals. Currently, I am self teaching korean and learning more about islamic history and reading up on social movements leaders like the civil rights movement leaders like MLK and Malcolm X. Which is an extended interest from A-Levels history where I wrote a dissertation on the civil rights movement and the leadership that made a change in African American history. on my off time, I like to travel and visit the parks and enjoy reading about my current interests, like auto biographies on leaders and social events and significant historical events but also fictional books that sucks me into the world of imagination. I am a huge fan of BTS because of the poetic lyricism thats conveys messages of strength, self esteem and self love and passion for the things you love irregardless of what society has to say. Their message is applicable to all that is willing to listen and understand their message and movement. Like e one of their member said "You'll like BTS music if you listen without prejudice" - Suga. I am in support of their music and what they stand for and I am in support of their multiple campaigns like their "LOVE MYSELF" campaign, that stand with social change, social justice and climate changed and youth power in changing the future for the better. This all stand true with me and my beliefs and I would love to share if I can their message and help spread the positivity and self love their promote. But also would love to talk and connect with my students with similar music interests and beliefs.

Levels and Subject you Teach Lower Level: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry GCSE: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, General Mathematics Exam and Board Experience: Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) Passer Languages: English and Filipino SEND (Special Education Needs and Disability) Experience: I don't have any experience in handling students with special needs, but I have experience in handling Alternative Learning Students (ALS) and Open High School Students (OHSP). Both students are out of school youth due to family problem, early pregnancy, health issues, financially unstable and etc. Preferred Student Age Group: I prefer students from Primary and Secondary Level. About you: I am teacher Cheran. I am a Mathematics Teacher for 19 years. % years from private school wherein I taught Algebra and Geometry and 14 years in public school wherein I handled different year levels. I am a passionate, hardworking and flexible teacher. During my free time, I love watching volleyball and basketball. I want to watch horror and suspense movies too. I also love singing and dancing. It is one of my dreams to travel around the world and see the beauty of nature. Currently, I'd been teaching Grade 8 students and at the same time the math trainer of our school. Teaching is quite a challenging but fulfilling job. I love to see my students reach their full potentials and achieve their goals. It is very heart-wrenching knowing that your work shapes and contributes to the future of the learners. I think my experience would be enough to handle different learners. If you enroll in my class, I will assure you that you will learn while having fun. So what are you waiting for, book a lesson with me now. I Graduated from Philippine Normal University where I took up Bachelor of Science in Mathematics for Teachers. I also had 39 units in masteral at the same school but unfortunately, I was not able to finish it because of giving birth to my first born. I was also qualified to took up special courses like the Spanish class and I finish until level 7. After my graduation, I already took Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and fortunately, I was able to pass it. My first experience in teaching was in private school wherein I taught Algebra and Geometry. My stay there was so remarkable because it helped me a lot in terms classroom management, teaching styles, and the experience I needed to be a better teacher in the Future. Currently, I am a Junior High School Math Teacher and Mathematics Trainer in a Public School. I started being the mathematics trainer just last year, and fortunately with the help and guidance of our Lord we ranked 1st in our division area sectoral. I considered it as one of my big accomplishments because, being a trainer is not that easy. You need to exert extra effort and time to feed the necessary knowledge that your students needed. You need to research different questions that will help your students to be prepared in the contest. It is very heart-wrenching knowing that you are part of the success of your students and your school. I am also a trainer of tower of Hanoi. A contest that helps your student to think critically. I also handled Open High School Students in our school, where majority of my students were out of school youth due to family problem, early pregnancy, financially unstable and working students. With my experience in handling them for 6 years, I must say, I learned to be more open-minded and considerate with my students. To give extra effort to help them finish their studies. To let them feel that they are not alone, and they have a support system not just a teacher. Being a teacher, you need not only to be intellectually literate but also emotionally literate. You need to be ready all the time and, in every situation.

Hi, my name's Emillie! I graduated from University College London with a First-Class BSc in Applied Medical Sciences, and I am currently a first-year medical student at Queen Mary University of London. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in science, supported by my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and French. This combination has strengthened both my scientific understanding and my ability to communicate clearly and effectively. As a tutor, I aim to create a supportive and organised learning environment where students feel confident engaging with new material and asking questions. I understand that each learner has a unique approach to studying, so I tailor my teaching style to match individual goals, strengths, and preferred methods of learning. Whether students want to build core knowledge, prepare for important exams, or deepen their understanding of challenging topics, I focus on providing structured explanations, step-by-step guidance, and practical study strategies that help them progress steadily. My time studying at university has reinforced the importance of critical thinking, academic resilience, and a positive mindset—skills that I incorporate into my tutoring sessions. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into manageable ideas and supporting students as they develop confidence and independence in their studies. Learning should be collaborative and encouraging. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson feeling more capable, motivated, and assured in their understanding. I look forward to helping learners at all stages achieve their goals and increase their confidence. I began my academic journey at a grammar school where I completed both my GCSEs and A-levels. Studying in this environment helped me develop strong study habits early on, as well as a genuine interest for learning. For A-levels, I chose Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and French. These subjects allowed me to explore my interests in science while also strengthening my analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities. This combination provided a solid foundation for pursuing further studies in the biological and medical sciences. I went on to study Applied Medical Sciences at University College London, where I gained a deeper understanding of human biology, disease mechanisms, and the research that drives medical progress. The course offered a balance of scientific knowledge and practical skills, and I particularly enjoyed developing my ability to interpret scientific literature, conduct laboratory work, and communicate complex concepts clearly. I graduated from UCL with a First-Class degree, an achievement that reflects my commitment to academic excellence and my passion for this field. I have now begun my first year of medical school at Queen Mary University of London. Studying medicine has been an exciting next step, allowing me to apply my scientific background to real clinical contexts while continuing to expand my knowledge. My academic pathway, from grammar school, through UCL, to medical school, has equipped me with strong subject expertise, disciplined study skills, and a deep motivation to continue learning and supporting others in their educational journeys.

What is Key Stage 2?
Key Stage 2 (KS2) is the term used to refer to the second stage of a child’s primary education and covers Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. Children are typically aged between 7 and 11 years old in KS2.
What subjects are covered at Key Stage 2?
Children are taught the following subjects:
Schools must also provide Religious Education, although parents can ask that their children are taken out of part or all the lessons.
The focus of Key Stage 2
Maths and English are the focus of Key Stage 2 as they are considered gateways to future learning. In English, children progress from reading with a focus on comprehension to grasping overall concepts through age-appropriate literature. They learn how to craft well-punctuated and structured sentences and express their ideas clearly. In Maths, children should be able to perform calculations with increasingly large and complex numbers, including long division and multiplication. They will also use measuring instruments like rulers and make connections between measurements and numbers. That’s not to say the other subjects aren’t important for a well-rounded education. For example, science covers the basics of biology, physics and chemistry, and an understanding of the world is introduced in history and geography. Computing is considered essential in today’s world.
Tests and assessment
Children take exams known as SATs (Standardised Assessment Tests) at the end of KS2 in the following subjects:
The SATS results are used to assess progress in English and maths and measure school performance.
How to choose a KS2 tutor
Key Stage 2 is a crucial stage in your child’s education as it builds a foundation in core skills and prepares them for the more demanding requirements of secondary education. If your child is struggling in one or more subjects or lacks overall motivation and confidence, it’s important to address these issues before they start falling behind in their learning. The SATs are culmination of work over the whole of KS2 and not just Year 6, so your child will benefit from tutoring at any stage. It’s important to choose an experienced KS2 tutor who can offer lessons adapted to your child’s specific needs and who will provide you with regular feedback on their progress. At GoStudent, our tutors offer adaptive learning, where lessons, readings and practice activities are personalised towards the individual child and based on their current skills and performance. They also offer interactive and engaging lessons that will keep your child’s interest – and could spark a love for learning that will last through their academic career and beyond.
Is private KS2 tuition affordable?
Your child can get KS2 tuition for as low as £21.99 per session. The price of each private tuition session depends on how regularly and for how long your child takes tuition with us. Book a free trial session with us and you can find out how affordable private tuition with GoStudent can be for you.
