GCSE - English Literature/Language A Level - English Literature/Philosophy My name is Jyotsna and my interests are in philosophy, reading and writing, hence why I want to teach the lot! My teaching style is mostly discussion-based - almost like Socratic questioning. I believe this helps ideas and concepts stay in your mind for longer, as the student is the one that has to do the intellectual heavy lifting. I have just started the first year of my philosophy degree at the University of Durham, after having completed English Literature and Philosophy A-Level. I have tutored a GCSE English student before and have also led KS3 philosophy society, where we have discussions based on the A Level Philosophy syllabus (Utilitarianism, Kant’s deontological ethics and Aristotleian virtue ethics).

I am currently pursuing my bachelors in Economics at the University of Warwick. Academically, I have excelled in my examinations with 3 A*s and 1A in A Levels and 11A*s in my GCSEs. While on the extra academic front, I have held many leadership positions and won several competitions. But most importantly, I have been tutoring for the past 5 years where I have taught students A Level, GCSE and IGCSE Maths, Economics and English in Pakistan, USA and Saudi Arabia and am proud to say that I have boosted grades of each individual I have taught. Hi there, I'm Mustafa! And I'm a 1st year medical student at the University of Manchester who tutors alongside studies in the evenings. I have been tutoring for the past year and a half, with over 200+ hours of experience on various online platforms for Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. I intend to expand on their knowledge by developing their concepts through a mixture active engagement where I will annotate concepts on the screen and then ask the student to annotate as well actively to keep the lesson flowing smoothly. We will go through the theory and the content, before then consolidating our learning on exam questions in the latter sect of the lesson which will give a realistic challenge of what you may be examined on.
