I’m Isabella, a friendly biology and chemistry tutor as well and a full-time biomedical science student at Lancaster University. I am passionate about my subject and am keen go share this with my students. In my A-levels I achieved A*A*A and nine grade 9s at GCSE. Being in the education system myself allows me to pass on helpful tips and tricks which resonate and from my experience really helped me to improve my grades. Outside of my studies and tutoring I am a keen table tennis player and compete for my university team, I also enjoy cooking and walking in nature. Hi there, I'm Mustafa! And I'm a 1st year medical student at the University of Manchester who tutors alongside studies in the evenings. I have been tutoring for the past year and a half, with over 200+ hours of experience on various online platforms for Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Incidentally, I took all these 4 subjects for A Level and received A*AAA to showcase my passion for the STEM subjects alongside with the ambition of earning a coveted place in medical school. A concept which is equally important than the contextual learning itself since the drive and hunger to study harder derives from the faith you show in yourself and the support around you. My teaching philosophy is to aim to bring a balance of enthusiasm and meticulousness when it comes to teaching. The teacher-student relationship is pivotal to helping a student progress, hence I emphasise the importance on getting to know my student through their hobbies and interests firstly and relate that to their learning. I intend to expand on their knowledge by developing their concepts through a mixture active engagement where I will annotate concepts on the screen and then ask the student to annotate as well actively to keep the lesson flowing smoothly. We will go through the theory and the content, before then consolidating our learning on exam questions in the latter sect of the lesson which will give a realistic challenge of what you may be examined on. Then I went to Bishop Wordsworth's Grammar School for my A Levels where I achieved A*AAA in Chemistry, Maths, Physics and Biology respectively. I have always been curious and love solving problems, which led me to study biochemistry at university before moving into software development.
