In September 2024 I am undertaking a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Literature from the University of Leicester. With over two years tutoring experience, a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills, I have challenged and supported students across all educational stages, including primary school pupils right up to A Level students! I want your child to succeed and I truly believe they can do this! My lessons are varied, fun, but get the work done! Education is not 'one size fits all', and online tutoring is the perfect example of this. My sessions will see your child grow from strength to strength, as they learn new concepts and methods of success in their respective subject. I’m an enthusiastic individual, that is keen on teaching children, of all ages, up until A-level. I have many different hobbies, such as playing sports and cooking different recipes, which is something I carry out in my free time. I’m also multilingual, as I can speak both Bengali and Urdu fluently. I also have experience of teaching, as I ran my own personal tuition for primary school children, now moving unto secondary school, for English, which is something that I am carrying out now. I’m looking forward to teaching Primary school children, for both Maths and English, as well as English Language and English Literature for GCSE students, and in teaching Finance to A-level students. I have successfully achieved a grade 8 for English Literature, as well as a grade 6 for English language. In addition, I studied Finance as one of my A-level subjects and achieved an A*. As tedious as studying can get, it is all the more important in today's day and age to make it more fun and enjoyable and I would like to do just that by including quizzes, games, power-points etc related to every topic especially the ones that are more difficult to understand, so as to follow a more modern approach to studying but also including tests and practice some equations or structures to test their knowledge. Hence, maintaining the traditional approach to studying. At the end of each lesson I will encourage the students to summarize what was taught and also practise active recall in the follow up classes in order to solidify their understanding as well as boosting their memory. I will also include mock tests in their lessons which will mimic the actual exams to prepare them better for the same. In my school years, I have experience with helping/ tutoring my fellow students who needed extra help. It has been one of my most prized achievements to watch them pass their exams with my help and guidance. Going from that to having 45+ current students from all over UK, and over 900 lessons has increased my expertise. I am very organized in my everyday life and studies and will be sure to do the same with my sessions to modulate everything in the most systematic way whether it is addressing my students' queries or communicating with their parents about any concerns that they may have, and giving my honest feedback timely regarding any observations I may have about the student and keep them on top of their child's education journey. The third time will follow a few weeks later to help with memory recall. There will also be constant reference to earlier lessons if the topics are connected. I have a thorough understanding of the Irish leaving certificate curriculum, not just because I went through it myself, but also because of my experience tutoring students of all ages, particularly junior and leaving certificate students for the past four years. As a result, I have knowledge of the subjects and crucial exam tips, specifically by going over past exam papers with students. Any kid I have taught has experienced a significant increase in their grades from the beginning of the year to the end. I anticipate at least a two-grade improvement for every student who works with me. whenever I provide tests. To give students a realistic rating, I do my best to grade them in accordance with the standards of the junior/leaving certificate. Throughout the classes, these marking criteria will be applied to identify improvements that are also realistic. Because I am very organized in terms of what is required for the lesson and all the materials that will be utilized, delivering tutoring online has never been an issue for me or my pupils.
