GCSE: English literature, English language, Business A-level: English Literature, Business Studies Degree level: Religion, Politics, Education, Social Sciences Exam board exp: AQA, Edexcel, OCR Experience with: KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5 including SEN and EAL students Languages: English and Spanish Preferred student age group: KS2 and KS4, years 5, 6, 10 and 11 About me: Since graduating from King's College London with a BA in Religion, Politics and Society in 2022 I have had various roles in education. After university I worked at a secondary school on a graduate scheme with Step Into Teaching, working as a teaching assistant and running the school library. In this role I worked predominantly with KS3 students on a 1:1 and small-group basis, but I love working with KS4 students and building their knowledge in their subjects. In this role I have worked with SEN and ESL students. Shortly after this I went to Malaga, Spain to work as an au pair. While living with a Spanish family it was my repsonsiblity to teach English to two daughters, ages 11 and 14. I then worked as an English tutor in a secondary school through the National Tutoring Programme. In this role I worked with year 10 and year 11 students, helping them progress in GCSE English Literature and GCSE English Language. I have recently completed an MA in Education at University College London and am currently working as a teaching assistant in a secondary school. I support students in lessons and run GCSE English Literature and Language revision sessions for SEN students. I also support year 7, 8 and 9 students with phonics interventions. September 2025 I will be training as a secondary school English teacher. I'm passionate about building student's confidence in their subject alongside building their subject knowledge. Based on my own experience, I'm keen to help students become more confident in how they perform in exam conditions and maximise the application of their knowledge when under pressure. My favourite thing about working as a tutor is seeing students gradually become more confident in asking questions and the sense of achievement they feel when they have reached a certain target grade or a certificate or award in school. Hey! My name is Dylan Archer and I'm currently studying Economics, Finance, and Banking at the University of Portsmouth. I play goalkeeper in football and corner in American Football, both at university level with my American football career taking me to two national championships in my first year of playing. I grew up and studied in Derby and took Geography, History, and English Language at A-Level. I think the most important thing in tutoring is the atmosphere between the tutor and student, with a calm environment allowing for learning to take place and the comfort of being able to ask questions. I love studying languages too and over the summer I practiced my Urdu and Punjabi (very basic now) and I currently am studying Arabic through my university. GCSES: English Literature: 7 Mathematics: 8 English Language: 8 History: 8 Geography: 8 Science: 8/8 Drama: 9 A-Levels: History: C Geography: A English Language: A PSAT: 1540 (couldn't take real one due to Covid-19) University (currently studying/on track for): Economics, Finance, Banking (1st w/ honours)

My name is Syeda Ashfa Batool, I have very recently done my exams so i know the struggles of a hard working student. I want to use my experience and help other students excel in their exams using similar techniques that helped me. I also believe that everyones way of working is different so when we work together we will find what works best for you and help you do well in exams. Having delivered over 275 sessions I believed I have gained experience to work with a range of different students. Maths was one of my favourite subjects at school and even during college, so it is something I am looking forward to teaching most! My preferred age group is students doing their GCSEs or students in high school. Additionally, my age allows me to relate to students more easy and allows me to find common grounds to build a friendly mentor relationship. Some of my hobbies are reading books, cooking and meeting up with my friends :) I am a 2nd Year Medicine Student in the UK, pervious to this I took A-level Biology, Maths and Chemistry.

My name is Fahima and I am a Second year Law student at the University of Birmingham. Teaching is one of my many passions, and I believe education is more than the pursuit of academic excellence, as a tutor I hope to be able to offer a secure place for children to advance in individuality, and to aid with character development. As an independent, selfless and critically thinking individual, I believe such personal assets, as well as having an empathetic and enthusiastic charisma, will hopefully, enable me to be successful in this field of work, as these are essential qualities vital for an educator. Some of my hobbies include travelling, swimming, and reading! Along with being a full time Law student, I am also a tutor here at GoStudent and I tutor in GCSE Maths Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as A Level Chemistry and Sociology. My name is Hafsa and I am a Dental student at the University of Manchester. My friends describe me as hardworking, dedicated and focussed. Science and Maths has a huge importance in my life, a lot of it to do with my degree but also because of an interest I have in me. Having attained AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Maths in A-Levels, and A*A* and a 9 in GCSE, I have developed from an outstanding student to an incredible tutor. In high school my English teachers always applauded my excellent english analytical skills as I acheived an 8 in GCSE, and I am looking forward to sharing these tips with students of my own. From my own journey, there has been many instances where I have taught myself content because the way the teacher taught me I just didnt understand. This made me an independent learner and encouraged me to reach my highest potential - not to meantion all the amazing tips and tricks I discovered and am excited to pass on to my students too. I have a vast experience of teaching, from volunteering experiences to jobs in different settings with tutoring - which helped me fine tune my teaching skills and made me really adaptable to different teaching styles. As a young tutor, the age gap between me and my students will be relatively small and will allow me to understand them much better, as well as make the lessons more fun and engaging as I know how to meet their needs. The tutor we have is always so helpful and excellent communication My daughter really enjoys her lessons with him Having a great tutor is what will make the difference between a good review for the company and a bad one It’s a 2 way street If you are also communicative and reasonable the journey should be fabulous

Marie is an absolutely incredible English tutor. She very quickly formed a great relationship with my daughter, understanding her needs and gaining her trust. For a child who hates learning, she literally bounces with happiness after her sessions. Her expected GCSE grade has also gone from a 1b to a 4a within the last 7 months. Marie always sends a really comprehensive report of each session. She is truly fantastic and I would recommend her to anybody wanting to regain a love of the subject or improve their grades.
