Subjects that I teach: - Mathematics at A-Level - Exam board experience: Edexcel About me: I am currently a 2nd year undergraduate at Imperial College London studying for a BSc Mathematics. The reason that I chose to study Mathematics is that I strongly believe that the idea of starting with a collection of simple postulates, combined with chains of logical reasoning, and the ability to derive nearly any complex mathematical theorem allows Mathematics to pose as the essence of our everyday lives. My ability to problem-solve will be directly beneficial in communicating difficult concepts and constructing logical arguments for different approaches for problems that students may find challenging. As I have recently completed A-Levels, I am very familiar with the A-Level Mathematics exams, along with the specific topics and skills required to succeed in them. Having experienced difficulties with teachers and hardships with studying techniques personally during my A-Levels, I am dedicated to tailor lessons to a teaching-style that is enjoyable and efficient to create the best learning experience for each student. I would like to utilise my talent and determination to give students the best results, as well as discussing any problems that they may have, ultimately boosting their confidence for the rest of their studies. 3rd year Mathematics student at Imperial College London. Relevant qualifications: Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics, A*s in both A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, A in A-Level Physics. Awards: Gold Maths Challenge UKMT, British Physics Olympiad Awards, School Prize Award for A-Level Performance.

Hi! My name is Dominika and I am 22. I have just finished degree in Medical Genetics (on track to getting a First Class) and will be starting my PhD in Cancer Biology at the University of Glasgow this coming October! Throughout the years as a student, I have been helping my peers in understanding complex problems in Biology and Maths and have always been told that I am a natural teacher, which encouraged me to try and become a tutor. I am patient, creative, and interested in the process of learning, having completed the 'Improving your Study Techniques' course from the University of Groningen. In whatever way you like to study, I can suggest new techniques and find resources you will hopefully find useful. Let's meet and figure out the way to help you achieve your goals – I have no doubt that you will be able to meet them given the right learning environment and resources! Thank you and I am looking forward to meeting you! Levels & Subjects you teach Lower Level: Maths GCSE: History and Maths Exam Board Experience: I have previous experience with Edexcel. For History I covered topics of Medicine Through Time, The American West, First and Second World Wars, Henry VIII, Russian Revolution and Weimar & Nazi Germany which all span across exam boards. At University Level I studied the period 1555 - present with a particular interest in the development of Global Health in that period. Languages: English (fluent) SEND: no previous experience Prefered Student Age: 14-16 (GCSE ) for History and Primary/GCSE for Maths Hello, my name is Alex and I am currently working part-time as a Museum Engagment Officer for the University of Dundee. I graduated from the University of St Andrews in 2021 with a first-class degree in Social Anthropology. I also took modules in History and Art History in the first two years of my course. My passion for History led me to an MSc in Digital Heritage at the University of York and to my current job at the University of Dundee Museums Service. I also have over 7 years of experience volunteering at Heritage sites and Museums. I've done various roles in archives, social media, events and exhibitions as well as working as a tourguide at a castle with a 1500 year history. I think this gives me a lot of skills in communicating heritage alongside the academic skills that would make me a good tutor for History. My hobbies are art and design. I love to paint and draw but have been doing a lot of digital illustrations recently. I'm also really interested in historical fashion. I've done costuming for theatre shows and I like to sew from vintage patterns or make history inspired items. I have also been working on designing historical dress-up doll online games which is an extension of my MSc dissertation research. Additionally I love to bake and enjoy yoga and walking. I would like to take a students hobby/interest and use that as an entry point into the period to capture their imagination. Coming from a museum background I would also like to incorporate objects from collections as a starting point for understanding the past and a way to develop the source analysis skills needed in exams.

The boys enjoyed it but struggled after their first tutor left and lost their enthusiasm,no homework and the improvement in school is not a lot. I tried to prepare them for 11+ but they are not there at all.Communication is not great either. I later received a phone call from a lovely gentleman and all my concerns were dealt with appropriately. Thank you for listening to me ❤️
