Hi! I'm Michaelangelos, a mathematics graduate from the University of St Andrews (MMath) and incoming PhD student at the University of Glasgow. I've been tutoring maths for several years, including Higher and National 5, and it's something I genuinely love doing. What I care most about is helping students build real confidence and intuition, not just memorise steps. Maths can feel intimidating, and I get a lot of satisfaction from being the person who helps make it click, whether that's turning anxiety into understanding, or helping a curious student go further than they thought possible. I'm equally excited to work with students who find maths difficult and scary as I am to work with those who want to push themselves and become really strong mathematically. I am currently an incoming PhD student at the University of Glasgow, where my research focuses on dissecting neural networks, specifically regarding optimisation and generalisation. During my time at St Andrews, I was placed on the Dean's List consecutively and achieved first-class averages in my final two years of study. I also spent an exchange year at Western University during the 2024-2025 academic year. My academic background is deeply rooted in advanced mathematics and computational science. My master’s dissertation, which earned a 90% grade and was highly commended for the Duncan Prize, focused on a posteriori methods for error control via the reconstruction technique. My key areas of study have included stochastic dynamics, statistical machine learning, financial mathematics, neural networks, and data analytics consulting. Through these experiences, I have developed strong technical proficiencies in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, SQL, and R, along with various machine learning frameworks.

I'm Sannah, I'm from Kent and I'm 22 years old. I've just graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Master's in Chemical Engineering. Outside of studies I'm a cyclist racing at a professional level. I've raced all over the UK and Europe at some of the world's biggest races and I love being able to see so many countries! Cycling takes up most of my time but when I'm not on the bike you'll find me running :) I attended Tonbridge Grammar School for my GCSEs where I achieved eleven 9's. Following this I was at St Olave's Grammar school for sixth form where I achieved 4 A*s in Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths as well as an A in AS biology. I then studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge, graduating with both a BA and an MEng.

Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a second-year Accounting and Finance student at Lancaster University. I achieved 9 GCSEs, ranging from 7-9, which allowed me to study Chemistry, Economics and Maths. I also gained an A* in my EPQ, which I completed in year 12, giving me crucial skills that I have carried forward to my degree. I have been tutoring for over a year. During this time, I have helped prepare primary school students for their SATS and gained more confidence with maths in the classroom. I also prepared year 11 and 13 students for their GCSE and A levels by covering content they were unsure of and practising exam techniques. I previously gained experience mentoring GCSE students at my school. I am a student with dyslexia, so I understand the challenges students face in classroom settings.
