I completed my post-graduate degree in Actuarial Science at the University of Kent, along with a 2.1 in BSc in Mathematics, and I'm working as a Mathematics Teacher at Technology College. I was appointed as an innovation council member of Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, and also served as School union chairman and College Union General Secretary at the school and college levels. In my school days, I won the mathematics Olympiad prize. I am a third-year Mathematics and Physics student at The University of Manchester. During my school years, I have been looking for experiences that could develop me as a human being and this is how I came across tutoring. My first such opportunity tutoring them in the subjects they had difficulty with by explaining core concepts, which helped me develop patience and adaptability. Working with children was not without its hurdles, but I used all my abilities to stir their interest. What was truly rewarding were their smiles and the strong bond that we created. Hi! My name is Amy and I’m currently studying Maths and Philosophy at the University of Leeds. I am a Maths tutor aiming to help students between KS2 and GCSE level to enjoy and understand Maths.
