Hi, I’m Paul. I mostlytutor Maths and Science as well as Computer Science and English as a Foreign Language, which I trained in at Columbia Teachers’ College, USA. Originally I studied for a BA in Natural Sciences. I have been a classroom teacher and tutor for over 15years, in the UK as well as South Korea, Japan and China, and more recently have developed Science courses for a large online learning platform. My tutorials are often centered around structured practice of specific topic areas, with an approach geared toward getting students to speak freely about topics in their own voices. I was born in Cape Town, South Africa. I moved to Ireland when I was 12 years old. I love Maths and English, but I decided to study Science in college. I love reading classic novels, writing funny stories, and watching Korean dramas. I enjoy travelling, cooking Asian foods and making my friends laugh. I look forward to helping more students! I wrote my Junior and Leaving Certificate in Ireland. For my Leaving Certificate, I studied English (H), Maths (H), Biology (H), Chemistry (H), LCVP (Common), Accounting (H) and French (H). I obtained my BSc. in Analytical and Forensic Science with a Distinction at LYIT (now ATU). I also have a TEFL Certificate for teaching English.
