Hi, I'm Shannon. I'm originally from Northern Ireland but I have lived in Scotland, France, Spain and now I reside in sunny Manchester. I have taught English, French and Spanish in Secondary Schools for the last few years. I believe that teaching cultural aspects alongside language is vital and I find that using music and TV are excellent ways to stay engaged with a language too. Hi I’m Sina, a maths student based in Manchester. I’m most confident in maths but I love history, biology, Spanish and many other subjects so I’d be happy to tutor in any of these. Hi I am Mary Jo and I love teaching! I have been tutoring 6th to 12th graders for many years, as well as adults, both in English and in Spanish. I enjoy the connection that is developed from teaching and sharing lessons, working on project works and exams. The challenge of helping a student realize their full potential, participate actively in the learning process and finally achieve top results, is one of the best experiences for me. I am currently a trainee secondary science teacher, studying towards a PGCE. My undergraduate degree was in Chemical Engineering, which I graduated in 2022. I specialise in Chemistry and Physics, but more than capable of tutoring Mathematics and Biology. Outside of teaching and tutoring, I am an avid netball player and football fan! I also love reading and use it as my way to wind down. I look forward to starting this journey with you and celebrating your achievements! I attended Swansea University where I studied for an Undergraduate Degree in Chemical Engineering. 3 years later I returned to university to study a Postgraduate Certificate of Education with the University of Brighton, with the aim to become a science teacher. I am currently a third year university student, studying dance and creative writing. I am going onto a teaching training programme in order to achieve my pgce once I graduate this year. As a patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic tutor, I enjoy helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and practicing taekwondo, and I always appreciate getting to know my students' interests as well.
