Before moving to London for university, I lived on a farm in Wales with my family - and many cats! Due to babysitting my two younger cousins for the last five years, I have realised that I love to work with children. I am in awe of their ability to view the world from a perspective so different from the regular adult we encounter every day. My favourite book of all time is 'Silence of the Girls' by Pat Barker. This novel is an essential read, not only for women, but also the male population. It illustrates how the current state of affairs within the international sphere replicates modern day phenomena, with violence against women repeatedly being used as a weapon of war. Thus, my interest in gender-based scholarly studies and the international feminist movement is continually growing. Whilst I love to read in my spare time, I also enjoy singing and meeting new people. However, when I am not singing or socialising, I enjoy playing table tennis and badminton with my older brother. Not only this, but I love fashion and keeping up with the latest trends. After receiving three As and an A* in my A Levels (the A* being in English literature and language), I decided to go to the London School of Economics and Political Science to study Politics and International Relations. Despite not studying English in university, I have found that the endless essays I was required to produce have undoubtedly contributed to the continuous improvement of my English skills, and my love for English in general. I am a researcher with a strong interest in mathematics, data science, AI and programming. I believe these subjects hold a lot of potential for humanity and therefore enjoy teaching them during my spare time. I also like to introduce people who are new to the world of technology how easy it can be to learn and become good at it.
