Hello. My name is Tara, and I am a fourth-year Dental Student at Newcastle University. I grew up in London and moved to Newcastle in 2021 to start studying Dentistry. I very much enjoy the course, and we are now starting to see patients, which is very exciting. Aside from my studies, I am the Dental Netball Captain for the University, so I organise matches. I have 6 years of tutoring experience, and the first job I got was when I was 16. I worked at my local Kumon centre tutoring primary school children in English and Maths to prepare them for the 11+ entrance exam. Since starting University, I have been an online tutor tutoring KS3 and GCSE students in Maths and Science.

With my background in maths, physics and chemistry, plus years of helping students in their studied, I've discovered that learning happens best when it's engaging and applied to the real world. I specialise in tutoring maths, chemistry (physical, inorganic and organic), and physics (focus on classical and quantum mechanics) up to A-level equivalent standards. After a few months research in academia (Machine Learning Materials Science Research) and 2 years working in industry as a Data Scientist I have returned to education to undertake an MPhil in Scientific Computing at the University of Cambridge. I am hopeful to achieve a Distinction in this course and apply my skills and knowledge in the computational drug discovery/medical fields.

I have completed A-levels in biology, chemistry and psychology and currently in 2nd year of university studying Bsc in pharmacology.
