I’m Joseph, a postgraduate Computing and Information Systems student at Queen Mary University of London with a background in Geography and Business. I specialise in helping students build confidence in Python programming, database management, and related areas. I take a supportive and structured approach, breaking down complex topics into simple steps so students can understand and apply them I am currently studying for a part-time MSc in Computing and Information Systems at Queen Mary University of London, where I am developing strong skills in programming, database management, and information systems. Prior to this, I completed a BA (Hons) in Geography with Business at the University of Nottingham, which gave me a solid foundation in analytical thinking, research, and data interpretation. This blend of technical and business-focused education allows me to support students with both computing subjects and broader problem-solving skills.

Although I was initially predicted CCD at A-level, I achieved AAB on results day, something I’m incredibly proud of. This experience has shaped the way I tutor. I love finding creative ways to make lessons click, using real-world examples and fun activities to build your confidence. I hold a degree in Mathematics Education, which basically means I’ve spent years learning the best ways to make math easy for everyone. My training helps me simplify tricky topics and create a classroom where you feel supported, heard, and ready to succeed.

I am passionate about Chemistry, with a PhD in the subject and over five years of tutoring experience. My tutoring style is to ensure a solid foundation in the core concepts, then practicing the skills with exam questions. I cover all exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel etc) and all topics in Chemistry at GCSE and A level. My highest level of education is a PhD in Chemistry from Durham University. I also obtained an MChem with First Class Honours from Durham University. My A level subjects were Chemistry, Maths, Biology and French (all A grades), as well as 11 A* grades at GCSE.
