My name is Abdurrehman and I am a Business student at the University of Salford. My friends describe me as hardworking, dedicated and focussed. Business and Economics has a huge importance in my life, not only because of its link to my career, but because of an interest I have in me. Having attained AAB in my A Levels and 8s and 7s in GCSEs, I have developed from an outstanding student to an incredible tutor. In high school my Maths teachers always applauded my excellent problem solving and maths skills as I acheived an 8 in GCSE, and I am looking forward to sharing these tips with students of my own. I enjoy teaching science because, apart from being great at it in my GCSEs, i like how vast the subjects are and how ever evolving they are. From my own journey, there has been many instances where I have taught myself content because the way the teacher taught me I just didn't understand. This made me an independent learner and encouraged me to reach my highest potential - not to mention all the amazing tips and tricks I discovered and am excited to pass on to my students too. I have a vast experience of teaching, from volunteering experiences to jobs in different settings with tutoring - which helped me fine tune my teaching skills and made me really adaptable to different teaching styles. As a young tutor, the age gap between me and my students will be relatively small and will allow me to understand them much better, as well as make the lessons more fun and engaging as I know how to meet their needs. My Academic Journey I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science, which provided me with a solid foundation in science and a deep appreciation for the intricate wonders of life. Currently, I’m diving even deeper into the fascinating world of microbiology as I pursue a Master’s Degree in Medical Technology. It’s a challenging but rewarding path, and I love bringing the latest insights from my studies straight to my classroom.

I am an experienced Mathematics & Computer Science tutor. With my last cohort of students, I witnessed exponential improvements with students fluency and confidence. I have over three years experience in teaching. I have extensive teaching experience with students aged 5 – 18 and I have helped students to obtain the highest grades at KS1 – KS3 & GCSE. I can also provide coaching for career related advice and support with college and university applications. I hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate. As well as using published materials, I provide bespoke materials for students based on examination questions so that they are able to develop their mathematical or computer science fluency and problem-solving skills. At the end of each session, students receive detailed notes of work covered, either in Word, PowerPoint or Microsoft Whiteboard format. I aim to make my sessions engaging, bringing in interactive elements and whiteboards as much as possible especially for my younger students in order to create a simulated, real-life fun experience with each hour.
