Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a second-year Accounting and Finance student at Lancaster University. I achieved 9 GCSEs, ranging from 7-9, which allowed me to study Chemistry, Economics and Maths. I also gained an A* in my EPQ, which I completed in year 12, giving me crucial skills that I have carried forward to my degree. I have been tutoring for over a year. During this time, I have helped prepare primary school students for their SATS and gained more confidence with maths in the classroom. I also prepared year 11 and 13 students for their GCSE and A levels by covering content they were unsure of and practising exam techniques. I previously gained experience mentoring GCSE students at my school. I am a student with dyslexia, so I understand the challenges students face in classroom settings. Anyone can be successful, which is why my sessions are student-led, so that they are catered towards each individual's learning style. If you are unsure of this throughout my school career, I have learnt different methods that work for me and would love to pass them on to others so that we can find a technique that works for you. I attended Rugby School, where I completed my GCSEs and A levels, and now I have gone on to study for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University, where my ambition is to become an ACA Chartered Accountant. Having studied Chemistry, Economics and Maths at A level, I offer tutoring for students up to and including year 11 in Maths and Chemistry and then Economics up to and including year 13 students.

Hello, I’m a medical student with a strong passion for learning, teaching, and helping others reach their full potential. Alongside my studies, I play basketball, which has taught me discipline, teamwork, and the value of consistent hard work—qualities I bring into both my academic and tutoring life. I’m a caring and patient person who genuinely wants the best for the people I work with. As a tutor, I focus not just on understanding the material, but on building confidence and effective study habits, so students feel supported and capable long after our sessions end. I attended Whitgift School in Croydon for my secondary education and am currently studying medicine at university. Throughout my academic journey, I have consistently supported others with their learning. While I have not worked with a formal tutoring organisation, I have tutored younger family members and helped fellow university peers with course content and exam preparation. These experiences have allowed me to develop clear communication skills and a practical, supportive approach to explaining academic material.

I am currently a student studying Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Nottingham. I passed A-Level Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science with an A,B,B respectively. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing basketball and practicing my violin and piano. I've also participated many workshops to do with communication which has increased my public speaking and collaboration skills. For secondary school I attended King Edwards VI Handsworth Grammar School for Boys. I left with 11 GCSE's with an 8 in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Religious Studies and a 7 in English Literature and Language, French and Business. For Sixth Form I attended the University of Birmingham School for 2 years. I left with an A,B,B in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science respectively.

Hello my name is Carla Edmunds, I am from South Africa, I am a 36 year old English, mathematics, Biology and Geography teacher. I am a qualified preschool teacher as well as a Pastry chef. I love to travel around the world teaching my subjects as well as travel for my leisure , however teaching is my passion, I love to learn from my students as well as making sure that my students enjoy and understand their lessons for the day. I am a qualified preschool teacher as well as a pastry chef. I have taught English, Mathematics, Biology and Geography while teaching in Asia, as well as online. I have learnt so many traditional food dishes on my travels as well as sharing my home recipes I love.
