Hello! My name is Elyn and I am studying Product Design Engineering at the University of Liverpool as a first year undergraduate. I have been a tutor for around a year and half teaching 14-16 year olds and prepping students for their GCSEs. I have a great fondness for teaching, as education has always been a big aspect of my life. I love learning and encouraging others to learn STEM in a more intriguing way. I will be open to teaching GCSE and A level economics, maths and physics. Other facts about me is that I scrapbook, I indulge in art as a creative outlet and competed in the Industrial Cadets Gold project during Year 12. I completed my GCSEs at Cecil Jones Academy and gained 9-5s in: design & technology, Mandarin, maths, chemistry, biology, physics, business, English literature, English language, geography and religious studies. I finished my A levels at Greensward Academy and gained: A at economics, B in maths and C in physics. I am now attending the University of Liverpool studying Product Design Engineering as a first year undergraduate. During my time in sixth form I competed in the Industrial Cadets Gold Project in a group of 6 gaining the "Best Concept Design" and "Most Innovative Project" award. As part of my work experience I have been a tutor for a year and a half and did a 3 week placement for a railway electrification company. These experiences has given a lot of independence and team working skills which I hope may inspire future students.

Hello! My name is Claudia , and I am currently studying Pharmacy at the University of Birmingham. I completed A-Levels in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, which i have achieved three A grades in these subject .This gave me a strong academic foundation to tutor these subjects with confidence and clarity. I have around two to three years of tutoring experience, working with students of different levels and abilities. My teaching style is structured yet flexible, as I always adapt my lessons to meet the individual needs of each student. I specialise in simplifying complex concepts, strengthening problem-solving skills, and providing effective exam preparation strategies. Alongside my studies, I have undertaken a variety of work experiences in healthcare-related settings. These include placements in hospitals and laboratories, where I was exposed to biomedical science, as well as experiences related to psychology and other medical fields. These opportunities have helped me broaden my perspective, improve my communication skills, and apply my scientific knowledge in real-life contexts. This combination of strong academic performance, higher education in Pharmacy, and diverse healthcare experiences has given me both subject expertise and the ability to connect my knowledge to practical applications. These experiences also allow me to support students not only in their academic studies but also in developing a deeper interest in science and its real-world relevance.

Second year physics student at Lancaster university. Active in the Doctor Who society, though not knowledgeable enough to take part in the whoniversity challenge. Also the proud owner of several plants which are surviving surprisingly well; and I always seem to have a couple of creative projects on the go. Currently in my second year studying physics at Lancaster University. I sat AQA A-level Physics in June 2023 and also did A-level edexcel courses in Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths, achieving As in Physics and Maths. In 2022 I did a 10 week course of helping year 5s complete experiments and teaching them about the scientific method; as well as completing an externally-marked, independent research project.

I'm a medical student with 8+ years tutoring (A level / GCSE,). My expertise in chemistry / biology / maths. I have lots of experience in teaching humanity subjects such as English, sociology, and history. * Only AS chemistry and maths * I teach students at varying levels so it's important to adapt and adjust accordingly. If you're a visual learner, let's draw. If you're an auditory learner, let's discuss. If you're a note taker, let's learn the best note taking method for you! I do, however, encourage all my students to engage in spaced repetition learning. Whether we schedule that in during our sessions or if we use anki, this is probably the most important method of retaining information.
