Outside of teaching and studying, I’m someone who loves exploring the world in every sense. I love to travel, always looking for the next hidden city street, quiet coastal path, or mountain trail to wander. I love experiences that spark curiosity and offer new perspectives, which are some qualities I bring into my lessons, too. I’m also a keen reader and lifelong learner, with a love for books on psychology, inclusive education, and modern fiction. To stay active, I enjoy yoga and long walks, which help me recharge and stay mindful, and I’m always up for trying new creative outlets, whether that’s experimenting with photography, cooking dishes from around the world, or learning a new skill just for fun. Music is another big part of my life; I love discovering new artists and curating playlists for different moods and adventures. These interests not only keep life exciting but also influence the way I connect with students: by staying curious, open-minded, and passionate about learning in all its forms. BA in Education Studies – UCL – Built a strong foundation in learning theory, child development, and educational practice at one of the world’s top universities. PGCE in Primary Education – UCL – Achieved Qualified Teacher Status with hands-on classroom experience, specialising in primary school teaching. MA in Special and Inclusive Education UCL (current) – Deepening expertise in supporting diverse learning needs and creating inclusive, accessible learning environments.

Growing up in a part of Ireland rich in natural beauty, I developed a passion for hiking and camping, along with music on the Uillean pipes, Violin and piano. I enjoy language learning: specifically Spanish and Russian. Naturally, my main focus is Physics, which provides a constant challenge with every strange concept introduced I attended St. Michaels College, Enniskillen for my GCSE's, of which I obtained 8 A*s and 1 A, before switching to Enniskillen Royal Grammar School in order to pursue Further Maths. Here I obtained an A*A*A* grade in Maths, Physics, and Further Maths. I’m currently studying a Physics degree at the University of Edinburgh

I have worked as a lecturer at De Montfort University for over 15 years. I hold a PGCE in further Education, an MA in English Language Teaching, and a BA honours in English. I taught English for Academic Purposes at university. This enabled me to develop various teaching approaches at different levels of English usage. I have also taught KS3-KS5 in the UK and abroad during which I have been observed several times and demonstrated that I was outstanding. I have used various teaching aids ranging from pictures, flash cards, to a variety of IT techniques. I have also used peer interaction and assessment to develop learners. Teaching at university enabled me to teach presentation skills. This has enabled me to do the same during training, coaching and mentoring sessions with colleagues. I have mentored a number of tutors. In my experience as a university lecturer I have used a variety of online platforms to teach students during the Covid-19 pandemic. I began my journey into English in 2002 when I did a BA (hons) in English at Demontfort university. Following this I did an MA in Children’s Literature in 2005 due to my immense love of reading. However, it was only when I landed a job at a resources centre that I decided to specialize in teaching and so I did a PGCE in education and an MA in English language teaching both in 2007-2009. I absolutely love teaching since then - as cliche as it sounds it is truly my passion and the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I love my students and to see them excel truly makes me content. I’ve been told that I have a gift for building a rapport with learners and I to feel this is something that comes naturally to me because as a student I myself struggled with being misunderstood and branded as a ‘bad student’. I feel as a result I can relate to students and their struggles more easily. I’m also very patient and an excellent listener.

Hi, I am an experienced and successful tutor, who is dedicated to providing results for his tutees. I treat all my students with the utmost respect and understand that each individual is different and is suited to a different learning style/method. I hope to tailor my sessions to each student and help them gain the maximum benefit! I have tutored previously at the undergraduate level at Imperial College London, I have also tutored at GCSE and A-level at Chelsea and Fulham Tutors in London as well as Tech Courses and Camps at FireTech UK and even younger audiences at NumberWorks & Words. I have experience teaching all the major exam boards at GCSE and A-level and have developed a good understanding of each board. I am comfortable and will adjust to whatever board you will be sitting your exams for!! Masters of Engineering Degree from Imperial College London (2018-2022). Graduated with First Class Honours Degree. 4 A-Levels in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Further Maths with A*A*AA grades in the respective subjects. 11 GCSE's all at A* and A grades.
