I then worked as a Personal Effects Specialist during a mass disaster, followed by working in a Microbiology laboratory. I started teaching the Royal Navy in Sea Survival and First Aid before I began Teach First. I worked in a school teaching secondary science whilst achieving my PGDE.

Hi, I'm Akela Saidali, a passionate math teacher dedicated to making mathematics accessible and enjoyable. My goal is to empower students with problem-solving skills, critical thinking and confidence in math and strive to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels confident to explore, question, and solve problems. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics, which provided a solid foundation in teaching strategies, mathematical concepts, and problem-solving. I honed skills in creating engaging lessons, managing classrooms, and tailoring instruction to diverse learning needs. My goal is to inspire confidence and curiosity in every student, empowering them to embrace mathematics and view challenges as opportunities for growth. Hi, my name is Mads! I’m currently in my final year of my undergraduate degree at the University of Warwick, studying history. I’m a friendly and approachable tutor, excited to share my love for English and sociology. Both subjects I have studied previously, and integrate into the focus of my degree so I continue to study them now! I love animals, board games and books, and look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for my subject! I am currently attending the University of Warwick, studying for a BA in Modern History. I’m due to start my masters in Intellectual History at the University of St Andrews in September. Second year physics student at Lancaster university. Active in the Doctor Who society, though not knowledgeable enough to take part in the whoniversity challenge.
