I enjoyed it so much that I went on to study Psychology at university, gaining a much deeper understanding of different areas, from sports psychology to statistics to cognitive neuroscience. During my final year, I began tutoring other university students, developing communication skills and helping them manage their studies. Since graduating, I have focussed my tutoring primarily to A-level and GCSE level students, helping to break down complex concepts into more manageable ideas and develop confidence in longer-mark questions. Hi, I’m Sean Brown, a passionate and dedicated science teacher who enjoys making learning meaningful, engaging, and accessible to every student. I believe science is more than memorizing facts—it’s about understanding how the world works and developing curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. As a tech-savvy educator, I enjoy integrating digital tools, multimedia resources, visual aids, and interactive activities into my lessons to make challenging concepts easier to understand. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, exploring ideas, and learning at their own pace. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, major in Physical Sciences, which provided me with a strong foundation in Physics, Chemistry, and other areas of science, along with effective teaching strategies and classroom practices. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Education, majoring in General Science, further developing my knowledge and skills in science education.

I achieved an A* in Spanish at both GCSE and A-level, as well as a first-class degree specialising in French and Spanish Interpreting and Translation, and have tutored Spanish A-level students (CCEA Northern Ireland Specification) for two years. I look forward to helping you to reach your Spanish language goals :) I achieved 9A* at GCSE and A*A*A at A-level. I then decided to specialise in languages, studying an MA (Hons) in Translation and Interpretation (French and Spanish) at Heriot-Watt University.
