My hobbies include working out, football and research. I believe that physical activity is very important for our mental health and it also helps us in making better decisions. On the other hand, I am constantly trying to research new studies and theories as learning is not restricted to a certain age group rather it is for all of us until we can still breathe. Hi, I’m Teacher Joyce, an energetic and passionate English teacher who believes that learning language should be both meaningful and enjoyable. I specialize in helping students build confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking. For me, English is more than just grammar rules and vocabulary—it’s a powerful tool for self-expression, creativity, and connection with the world. In my classroom, I create an interactive and supportive environment where students feel safe to share their ideas and take academic risks. I also understand that every learner is unique. That’s why I adapt my teaching strategies based on students’ needs, interests, and learning styles. My goal is not just to teach content, but to inspire curiosity, independence, and a genuine love for learning. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education, majoring in English. My studies provided a strong foundation in teaching methods, linguistics, and literature. I am currently a student studying Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Nottingham. I passed A-Level Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science with an A,B,B respectively. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing basketball and practicing my violin and piano. I've also participated many workshops to do with communication which has increased my public speaking and collaboration skills. For secondary school I attended King Edwards VI Handsworth Grammar School for Boys. I left with 11 GCSE's with an 8 in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Religious Studies and a 7 in English Literature and Language, French and Business. For Sixth Form I attended the University of Birmingham School for 2 years. I left with an A,B,B in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science respectively.
