Hi. I'm Ade, and I have been tutoring successfully for over 7 years now, with over 100 students (over 3 years on GoStudent with over 40 students), Grades 7 to 12, GCSE, and A-Levels. I have a Bachelors degree in Geophysics, a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Education, and I'm currently doing a 2nd Degree in Mathematics. I keep my lessons simple, with a focus on consistent practice. I also tailor my lessons to fit the student and get the best out of them. Simply put, I help you understand the foundations of the concepts you're trying to learn, and we'll do lots of practice. I specialize in building students skill and confidence in facing and solving problems. I'm pretty good at it because I am always learning new things myself, so I never forget what it's like be a semi-beginner, and I tend to relate very well with my students experience. This helps me communicate very effectively and support them unconditionally, all the while holding them to high expectations (based on their ability). I am a learner, and I am very good at helping others learn. I look forward to hearing from you! I obtained my first degree in the physical sciences: a Bachelors degree in Geophysics. Afterwards, I obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) to hone my skills in helping others learn and achieve their academic goals. I am currently pursuing a 2nd degree in Mathematics.

Religion, Theology, Philosophy, Ethics and Film is my absolute passion and specialty! I have both an Undergraduate and a Masters Degree in the subject. I also have a PGCE and QTS with experience teaching primary school children and working one-to-one with SEN children. I hold my Level 2 in SEND. I attended York St John for both my Undergraduate and my Masters Degree in Religious Studies. In between, I gained a PGCE from Leeds Trinity and a QTS through my SCITT. I currently work in a Sixth Form College and support the A Level Philosophy, Religion and Ethics revision sessions and classes.

I’m Akosua, a Chemical Engineering student who enjoys understanding how things work and finding new ideas to explore. I’m naturally calm and steady, and I like taking my time to think things through. People often describe me as approachable and easy to talk to, and I enjoy creating a positive atmosphere wherever I am. My experience in customer service and child supervision has helped me grow into someone who communicates clearly, listens well, and stays patient even when things get busy. I enjoy connecting with others, supporting people when they need it, and bringing a sense of reliability and kindness into my everyday life. Outside my studies, I like staying active, listening to music, and discovering new interests. I care about personal growth and being someone others can depend on, and those values shape how I move through the world. I completed my secondary education at The Nobel School, where I finished all of my GCSEs across a wide range of subjects. I continued into sixth form at the same school, studying A‑levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, which strengthened my interest in science and problem‑solving and prepared me for further study. I am now studying for a BEng in Chemical Engineering at Swansea University, where I’m building a strong foundation in engineering principles, laboratory work, analytical thinking, and applied scientific methods. My academic strengths and specialisations are in mathematics, chemistry, and physics, which support both my degree and my wider academic interests. Alongside my formal education, I’ve gained experience in customer service, child supervision, and scientific environments through roles at Argos, Sunday School, and placements at Lister Hospital, GSK, and BP. These experiences have strengthened my communication skills, professionalism, and ability to work well with different people. Overall, my educational journey has been shaped by curiosity, consistency, and a genuine interest in understanding how things work.

I hold a strong academic and professional background in Spanish language, culture, and education. I graduated in Hispanic Studies and later completed an MA at the University of Glasgow, where I developed advanced knowledge of Spanish and Latin American literature, history, politics, and cultural studies. My academic training gave me a deep appreciation of the richness and diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, from Golden Age literature to contemporary Latin American society. I am also a published poet. I have experience of teaching English Language and Literature. Alongside my academic qualifications, I also completed a PGCE and obtained Qualified Teacher Status through the St Mary's University. This provided me with strong pedagogical foundations in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and differentiated learning. I have experience teaching students of different ages and abilities and aim to create engaging lessons that build both confidence and linguistic competence. I have lived and travelled extensively in Spain and Latin America, experiences that significantly enriched my understanding of regional accents, idiomatic language, social customs, and cultural traditions. These experiences allow me to bring authenticity and real-world context into the classroom. My particular interests include Hispanic literature, contemporary Spanish and Latin American politics, cultural identity, film, and music. I am especially interested in helping students understand not only the mechanics of the language but also the cultural perspectives that shape communication across the Spanish-speaking world. I believe language learning should be intellectually stimulating, culturally immersive, and accessible to all learners. I attended Westminster School (10 O levels, 3 A levels), attained a 2:1 MA in Hispanic Studies at the university of Glasgow, completed my phd finance modules at university of Essex in 0212, received my QTS and PGCE from St Mary's university in 2024. I taught Spanish at Three Rivers Academy and GNSA in Hayes. My specialisations are Hispanic Culture, Literature and Art. I am an expert on world poetry and drama.
