Hi, I’m Nushra Imtiyas — an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher of both Mathematics and English, with a genuine love for helping students grow in confidence and ability. I graduated with a degree in Software Engineering, where I focused on English, Mathematics, and Information Technology. This combination gave me a strong balance of logical thinking and creativity, which I now bring into my teaching. Over the past six years, I’ve been teaching and tutoring students of different ages and abilities, and that experience has helped me grow not just as a teacher, but as a mentor too. My studies gave me a solid understanding of teaching methods, language, and literature, while also strengthening my problem-solving and communication skills. Hello! I am Reeshma and I offer tutoring in a variety of subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, 11+ and UKCAT/BMAT admission tests, English language (specifically), and Geography. I can cover KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-level (Biology and Chemistry) content from any exam board and will always ensure the content covered in lessons is relevant to the tutee’s requirements. I have the most experience with AQA for the Sciences and Edexcel for Mathematics. I also scored highly on the UKCAT/BMAT tests and am prepared to share my wisdom to tutees as I know what the problematic areas are and the best ways to tackle them. I am currently studying medicine and hence still very familiar with many of the concepts from A-level Biology and Chemistry, as much of what I study stems from knowledge acquired from GCSE and A-level Sciences. I am extremely enthusiastic about medicine, as the human body is one of my most profound fascinations, and I believe I can convey my enthusiasm for education through my lessons. In sixth form, I was a peer mentor and often had to help students struggling with their subjects, and so I have attained a plethora of knowledge on efficient methods to overcome revision and learning issues; furthermore, I am quite an active and independent learner and have trialled many different studying techniques in the past.
