Hi! I’m Lucy and I am a Policy and Legislation Lead within the UK Civil Service. I have been doing this for nearly 5 years, following having studied at the University of Bristol. I studied BSc Management. In my spare time, I love playing and listening to music and being outside! I have a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Bristol. This included subjects such as business studies, economics, marketing, consumer behaviour and behavioural change theory. Before this, I studied four A-level subjects: Economics, Mathematics, Physics and History. I am currently working as a Civil Service policy advisor.

A current University of Kent student studying International Business; English and Science tutor for A Level and GCSE studies as well as international studies. Travelling is my biggest passion. I love arriving somewhere I haven't been before, immerse myself in their traditions, while taking in new sights and landmarks. I’m passionate about teaching Biology and Chemistry and inspiring young people to enjoy and understand science. I love helping others learn, building their confidence and sharing my knowledge in an engaging way. I have recently completed my three-year Law degree and am about to begin my Master’s. Outside of studying and teaching, I enjoy reading, writing, travelling, learning languages and exercising. I also care deeply about our planet and enjoy working on projects that can help create a better future. My education has taken place across Canada, India, Estonia and the UK, giving me valuable experience of different education systems, teaching styles and learning environments. Studying in different countries has helped me develop a broad perspective on education and understand that every student learns in their own way. I recently completed my three-year LLB Law degree in the UK and am now preparing to begin a Master’s in Law, with the long-term goal of completing a PhD. Alongside Law, I have studied Biology, Chemistry and other science-related subjects and have completed additional courses to develop my knowledge and skills. My background across both science and law has strengthened my analytical, research and problem-solving abilities. My international education has also taught me to appreciate different approaches to learning, which helps me adapt my tutoring style to suit each student’s individual needs, goals and level of understanding. I am passionate about sharing science knowledge with young people and helping students become more confident, curious and enthusiastic about learning.
