I am an undergraduate student at Bayes Business School with a passion for tutoring and education. After completing my O and A levels, I realized the importance of personalized academic support in making a smooth transition between educational stages. I firmly believe that having access to tailored tutoring during my own studies would have greatly enhanced my confidence and academic performance. Since the beginning my tutoring journey, I have worked with students ranging from KS2 to A-Level and university-level subjects, helping them not only understand challenging concepts but also build their confidence in learning. My teaching style balances formality with a student-centered approach, tailoring lessons to each student’s preferred learning style—whether visual, auditory, or hands-on. I s...

Hi, my name is Mads! I’m currently in my final year of my undergraduate degree at the University of Warwick, studying history. I’m a friendly and approachable tutor, excited to share my love for English and sociology. Both subjects I have studied previously, and integrate into the focus of my degree so I continue to study them now! I love animals, board games and books, and look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for my subject! I am currently attending the University of Warwick, studying for a BA in Modern History. I’m due to start my masters in Intellectual History at the University of St Andrews in September. I achieved A*A*A in my a-levels in English Literature, History and Politics and I’m extremely passionate about sharing my love forr these subjects and helping others to understand them.

Hi! I am currently a 3rd year Chemical Engineering student at Imperial College London with a strong background in Maths, Chemistry, and Physics and I enjoy helping students understand challenging concepts by simplifying them in a clear and engaging way. My goal is to build confidence and make learning enjoyable. I am currently in my penultimate year of a Master’s in Chemical Engineering (MEng) at Imperial College London, on track for a First Class. I’ve excelled in key modules such as Engineering Mathematics and Reaction Engineering, and I’m a recipient of both the President’s Undergraduate Scholarship and the Faculty of Engineering UROP Bursary. Before university, I studied at Wilson’s School, where I achieved 4 A*s at A-Level in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, and 8 grade 9s at GCSE. My academic journey reflects my strong foundation in STEM and passion for engineering.

Hi James here, from South Africa. After 20 years of secondary school classroom teaching in English and History, I am branching out into online teaching. I taught in London, at Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and have since taught in South Africa, in Johannesburg, and the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. I have taught Cambridge A Level History, in addition to South Africa's English matriculation examinations. I am a published researcher, poet, and author. I run Parkrun, grow and sell organic vegetables, and enjoy wilderness walking. So, I battled when I was at school, with special learning needs, but I have managed to do well after school, earning B.A (1985) and B. Ed (1996) degrees, at Wits University in Johannesburg. I have a Masters Degree in Theology (Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., 2001) and a PhD in Church History (University of KwaZulu-Natal, 2016). I am a great believer that education happens every day for our whole lives. Language opens doors to learn new things every day. I especially enjoy learning new things about English, or about how we learn, in every single GoStudent lesson.
