Hi! I’m Ethan Brooks, an enthusiastic and dedicated Math teacher I’m passionate about making math clear, engaging, and meaningful. Through interactive lessons, real-life applications, and step-by-step guidance, I help students build confidence and develop strong problem-solving skills. I have experience working with students of different learning levels, including those with special educational needs, and I always adapt my approach to suit each learner. Outside teaching, I enjoy solving puzzles and playing chess—activities that inspire creative and logical thinking. I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Mathematics, where I built a strong foundation in math concepts, effective teaching strategies, and classroom management. At Sixth Form, I attained AAAB in English Literature, Psychology, Business Studies and Religious Studies A-Levels. I also achieved an A* in my EPQ focusing on women in literature through time. I am now an English Literature undergraduate.

I am passionate about helping students reach their academic goals by making learning clear, structured, and enjoyable. I believe every student has the ability to excel when given the right guidance and support. With strong skills in organisation, communication, and critical analysis, I ensure that lessons are not only effective but also build lasting confidence. My approach combines professionalism with approachability, allowing students to feel comfortable while being challenged to achieve their best. I am currently a student at the university of Dundee. I have increased my knowledge through experiences with top law firms to supporting patients in healthcare areas which has allowed me to strengthen my communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain things clearly. I’ve also helped several students improve their understanding of subjects and grow in confidence with their learning. As a tutor, I take a supportive and adaptable approach as my degree encourages me to understand that every student learns differently so I tailor lessons to suit individual needs. My aim is to make learning both effective and enjoyable, helping students achieve results while building lasting skills they can carry forward.

SEND experience - I have tutored students with SEND for three years which included students with Dyslexia, dyscalculia, AD I am a graduate of the University of Wolverhampton with a BSC Hons in Biomedical Science with Second class upper. I have completed my ALs in Biology Stream including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I have completed my GCE OL including Science, Maths, IT, English, and Business Studies.
