Hi, I’m Ade – GCSE Tutor (Maths and Science) I’m a graduate in IT Management for Business, and I offer tutoring in GCSE Maths and Science. With a strong academic background and a passion for helping others, I aim to make learning more approachable and less stressful for students. My sessions are tailored to each student’s needs—whether that’s boosting confidence, preparing for exams, or simply making tricky topics easier to understand. I focus on building a solid foundation while keeping lessons clear, engaging, and supportive. As someone who’s been through the GCSE journey myself, I know how important it is to have a tutor who’s patient, relatable, and explains things in a way that makes sense. I aim to create a comfortable space where students can ask questions freely and feel motivated to do their best. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy football, gaming, and all things tech—so I like to bring a bit of fun and real-world relevance to my sessions too. I completed my IT Management for Business degree with a 2:1 classification. The course combined maths, science, and business, giving me a strong mix of technical and practical knowledge. During my studies, I gained experience using IT systems, managing projects, analysing data, and improving business processes. I learned how technology, maths, and science can work together to help organisations make better decisions. I also took part in team projects that were based on real business situations. Some of the modules I did well in included Systems Analysis & Design, Business Intelligence, Strategic IT Management, and Quantitative Methods. These helped me improve my problem-solving and analytical skills and understand how to create solutions that meet people’s needs. My degree also improved my communication and critical thinking, which I now use to explain maths and science topics clearly when supporting students.

There are 2 things I have loved all my life- reading and music. As such, I play 3 instruments (Trombone, Guitar and Piano), love to sing all kinds of music and dance as often as I can. I also love reading all kinds of things- from Journal articles, to English literature, manga to comic books and even encyclopaedias about insects and animals! I also rather love technology, and love using technology to learn and help others learn. Furthermore, I like talking to different people and I'm a good listener. I have acquired a level 5 TEFL qualification, certified by Qualifi. I have a Bachelors and Honours in Chiropractic and have just completed my Masters in Chiropractic, making me a fully qualified practitioner. My Masters requires me to complete an original dissertation to be able to qualify and the findings of my dissertation are going to be published in a local journal later this year.

I completed the International Baccalaureate where I went to study 6 subjects in sixth form at Dartford grammar, (rather than the typical 3 A levels). After a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpretation and a Master's in Conference Interpreting, I have been learning languages for years now and, in 2019, I decided to pass on to my students the language acquisition techniques that helped me when learning French, Russian, Arabic, Basque and English. Here goes one: make the impossible to surround yourself with a Spanish or Hispanic environment (tutors, friends, relatives, news... > culture will boost your motivation to continue learning). I lived in Valencia, Donostia, Bilbao, Madrid and Huelva but I also lived in Bordeaux, Bergerac and Paris. I started teaching Spanish in the Spanish city of Vitoria (also known as the Basque Siberia) because I wanted to help the immigrants coming every year to start a new life in Spain. I found that the best way to help them was by teaching them Spanish so that they could communicate with others and build a brand-new life. In 2020, I started teaching and tutoring French and Spanish on digital learning platforms. Up until now, I have helped more than 90 people (all ages, students with SEND educational profiles, backgrounds and cultures) reach their goals onsite and online and have been translating, project managing and interpreting for 3 years!
