Let’s work together to reach your goals! I attended Swansea University and achieved a Second Class Honours Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering. I finished with ABC in A-Levels for Maths (AQA), Chemistry (OCR) and Biology (AQA) respectively, while in AS-Level (lower 6th form) I achieved ABBC for Maths, Chemistry, Biology and French respectively. I completed my GCSEs with 1 A* (Maths), 5 As (Additional Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and French) and 3 Bs (Economics, ICT and English).

I am an educator with over 9 years of experience in teaching, student support, and program development. As an ESOL Teacher, I’ve taught non-native speakers across multiple levels, designing tailored lessons and coordinating curriculum delivery with partners to maintain high standards. In student development roles, I created enrichment activities, mentored leaders, and provided pastoral care—facilitating workshops on well-being and fostering inclusive environments. Currently working as a freelance teacher, I focus on interactive, student-centered learning. Fluent in English, Dutch, and spoken Arabic, I’m proficient in digital tools and Microsoft Office. I’m passionate about supporting local learners and helping college communities thrive through accessible, quality education. I hold a Master of Science in Ethics of Education, which deepened my understanding of how to create equitable, responsible learning environments that prioritize both academic excellence and student well-being. My undergraduate studies earned me a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Education Studies, where I developed foundational knowledge in curriculum design, teaching methodologies, and learner development. I also hold a BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social Care (Health Studies) with Distinction* Distinction Merit, which has been invaluable in supporting students with diverse personal and wellness needs. Earlier in my education, I completed a BTEC First Diploma in Applied Science with a Merit grade, along with multiple qualifications in numeracy, literacy, and ICT at Levels 1 and 2—skills that enhance my ability to integrate technology and essential skills into teaching. I built my foundational knowledge through GCSE studies, which provided a strong base for my ongoing professional growth in education.

I am a Masters degree from Leeds Conservatoire and a BA from The University of Birmingham. I have 5 years of experience tutoring, offering tutoring in English Literature, Language and Drama from KS3 to A Level. I am a motived and hardworking person with a love for teaching and helping students to reach their full potential. I received a MA with Merit in Musical Theatre Company from Leeds Conservatoire and I have a 2:1 in BA Drama and Theatre Arts from the University of Birmingham. Before studying at university I attended Wycombe High School for 6th Form achieve AAB in English, History and Drama. As well as a B in AS Level 3 Core Maths. I attended Claires Court school for my KS3 and GCSE education. Achieving 1 8, 3 7s, 4 6s and 2 5s.

--- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.
