Hello! I'm Sila, an aspiring Chemistry student studying at University College London :) My main goal as a tutor is to get a firm understanding on my student's weak areas and plan lessons efficiently to help them as much as possible. I am dedicated to help tutees reach their full potential through the way that they learn and thrive the best! On top of this, I am also keen and willing to help and make a positive impact around students' Biology and Spanish content. I attended Buxton school and finished my GCSE's with grades 9 in Biology and Chemistry, an 8 in physics, and a 7 in maths. I studied my A levels at City of London Academy Southwark and achieved A,A,A in Biology, Chemistry and Business Studies. In my gap year I worked as a tutor teaching remotely and physically. The subjects I taught were Chemistry as well as Biology.

Languages: English Experience with disabilities / special needs: I have experience with learners that’s have barriers to learning for example : Dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, Autism and other barriers to learning. Preferred age group : 5-14 year olds About Me: I am a passionate and qualified primary school teacher. I am from South Africa. I have a Bachelor of Education degree intermediate and senior phase, I did my honours in Inclusive Education and I have 180hour TEFL certificate. I teach in English as this is my first and native language. I also speak Afrikaans and very basic Italian. I am a passionate and experienced teacher. Both in the classroom and online. I have taught children with barriers to learning. I have taught primary subjects such as Maths, English, Natural Sciences, Biology, History and Geography as well as life orientation/life skills. ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I'm into all sorts of things if I'm honest. I am a keen traveller (but who isn't nowadays), audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or more mature students for ESL, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: Experience of all English assessment boards, but especially AQA and Edexcel in the, and WJEC/Eduqas and OCR to a lesser extent. Languages: English: as a first language to advanced/professional level. Turkish: fluent to college level, but nor advanced enough for teaching purposes.

Hi, I’m Amay I am currently an Accounting & Finance Undergraduate student Having a vast range of direct past experience both in tutoring and working with children, I am comfortable in such environments and am passionate about the teaching I do I like to make lessons enjoyable so that my students are always thoroughly engaged by using a variety of techniques to cater learning towards each individual student, I am very enthusiastic at this prospect and leveraging my subject knowledge and past experience to improve student's learning experience and helping them achieve to the best of their ability. On the whole, I myself have achieved A*/A in in my own GCSEs and A-levels and look forward to helping more students in improving their learning also. Alongside these, I have completed qualifications in statistics, financial studies, computer science and business.
