I’m Maya Darvis, an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths and Science tutor I love helping students understand concepts clearly and confidently by making lessons engaging, interactive, and easy to follow. I simplify challenging topics using real-life examples, visual explanations, and step-by-step guidance. I believe every student can succeed with the right support and encouragement, and I always create a comfortable and motivating learning environment. Outside of teaching, I enjoy singing and watching K-dramas, which keep me creative and energized. I hold a Bachelor’s Honours degree in Chemistry and a TEFL certification, giving me a strong foundation in science, analytical thinking, and effective teaching strategies. With over two years of tutoring experience, I teach Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, adapting my lessons to different learning styles and levels. I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions, build understanding, and grow academically

Religion, Theology, Philosophy, Ethics and Film is my absolute passion and specialty! I have both an Undergraduate and a Masters Degree in the subject. I also have a PGCE and QTS with experience teaching primary school children and working one-to-one with SEN children. I hold my Level 2 in SEND. I attended York St John for both my Undergraduate and my Masters Degree in Religious Studies. In between, I gained a PGCE from Leeds Trinity and a QTS through my SCITT. I currently work in a Sixth Form College and support the A Level Philosophy, Religion and Ethics revision sessions and classes.
