I have over 10 years of experience in Education, learning, and development, teaching in both Primary and Secondary Schools. I specialise in teaching 11+, Social Sciences and prepping for national exams. I love helping students bridge the gap between what they currently know and what they need to know, by building confidence and resilience in their subject knowledge and approach to learning, especially in areas which they find particularly daunting. Engagement in learning is key. All lessons must be interactive to encourage learning and development. I encourage engagement through quizzes, questions, games, opinions, matching & sorting activities and use of mixed media. I adapt to different learning styles by meeting children where they are at, finding out what they currently know and using that information as a foundation to make learning accessible for them. I use assessments to track progress and plug gaps in their knowledge. My passion is to create successful learners who are able to achieve and exceed the goals they set for themselves. At A-Level, I studied Sociology (Grade A), Psychology (Grade B) and ICT (Grade C) at Southwark College. I then completed my BSc in Sociology and Criminology at City University, achieving a 2:1. I also have a PGCE in Upper Primary which I completed at Goldsmiths College. Additionally, I have a CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Learning and Development.

Hi, I am Hawa, a Biomedical Sciences student who enjoys making challenging concepts feel clearer, more manageable and less stressful! I tutor GCSE and A-level students, focusing on clear explanations, strong exam technique and confidence-building. My lessons are structured but relaxed, starting from what the student already knows and breaking topics into manageable steps using simple language, visual aids and guided practice. I adapt my approach to each learner and use past-paper questions regularly, so that every student feels more confident, well-prepared, and proud of their progress. I’m a 21 year old dental student studying in Bulgaria. I’ve taught students in the past, mainly during their GCSEs and A Levels, and I’m really excited to start teaching again. I’ve always been passionate about helping others learn because not only does it allow me to support students in building their confidence and understanding but it also strengthens my own knowledge. Outside of teaching, I love baking, painting, and playing sports like badminton :) I attended Nower Hill High School for both GCSEs and A-Levels. For GCSEs I achieved grades 9, 8, 8 in Biology, Chemistry and Maths respectively. For A-levels I achieved grades AAB in Biology, Maths and Chemistry respectively. I am currently studying dental medicine at the Medical University of Sofia.

I think my energy helps keep students engaged and motivated with the material, and my patience allows them to move at their own learning pace comfortably.
