Hi, my name is Mads! I am currently attending the University St Andrews, studying for an MLitt in Intellectual History, which is essentially the history of learning and thinking. I recently graduated from the University of Warwick with a first class BA in Modern History. I’m a friendly and approachable tutor, excited to share my love for learning. I teach subjects I have studied previously and still integrate into the focus of my degree, so I continue to study them now! I love animals, board games and books, and look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for my subjects. I am a first-year university student studying Computer Science, with a strong academic foundation in both mathematics and computing. I specialise in teaching Mathematics and Computer Science, and I have hands-on experience supporting and teaching students within a primary school setting, helping them build confidence and understanding. I successfully completed the 11 Plus examination in Year 6, which reflected my strong academic ability from an early age, particularly in English and Mathematics. I then went on to attend Bartley Green Secondary School, where I studied a wide range of subjects including English, Mathematics, Triple Science, Religious Education, Geography, French, and Computer Science. Studying such a broad curriculum helped me become well-rounded and develop important skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and clear communication. After secondary school, I attended King Edward VI College, Stourbridge, where I studied A-Levels in Mathematics, Law, and Computer Science. These subjects allowed me to strengthen my logical thinking and analytical skills. Mathematics deepened my confidence in tackling complex problems, Law improved my ability to form structured arguments, and Computer Science further developed my technical knowledge and passion for computing. Overall, my educational journey has been consistent, focused, and driven by a genuine interest in analytical and technical subjects.

I have just started university and I am eager to help my students in a supportive way with a dynamic based on mutual respect. Outside of my studies I love to watch football, go on hikes in the South Downs and read the financial times, as I am of course interested in any developments in markets. I went to Sackville School, East Grinstead and completed 12 GCSE's and one level 2 certificate in Further Maths, all at grade 7 and above. I then progressed to my A-Levels, achieving A*AAA in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics. During my time I also gained a Gold Certificate in the Senior Maths Challenge and participated in the Senior Maths Kangaroo, whilst also participating in the FCDO Next generation Economics essay competition.
