Since joining GoStudent back in April 2023, I’ve had the incredible privilege of tutoring for over two years — and what a journey it has been! In that time, I’ve not only grown as a teacher but also as a communicator, motivator, and lifelong learner. My lessons are anything but “one-size-fits-all.” Every session is designed to spark curiosity, encourage outside-the-box thinking, and make learning genuinely enjoyable. I love giving students (and their families) the chance to shape the direction of our lessons — because when learning feels personal, progress happens naturally. For me, the most rewarding part of tutoring is watching students go from “I can’t” to “I can.” Whether it’s tackling tricky topics, preparing for exams, or simply rediscovering a love for learning, I’m here to celebrate every step forward and keep that momentum going. I studied at the UCL School of Pharmacy, where I am currently preparing to sit my final MPharm exams following a recent gap period. In October 2022, I proudly graduated with a First-Class MSci in Pharmaceutical Studies, a course that challenged me academically while also sparking my curiosity for problem-solving and research. Beyond the textbooks, I’ve always believed that learning should be creative and enjoyable. That’s why you’ll often find me making colourful, artsy study notes (which are slowly turning into a revision blog!), or bringing a creative twist into my lessons to help tricky concepts click. My education hasn’t just been about exams and grades — it’s also taught me how to stay curious, resilient, and open-minded, and I try to pass that on to every student I work with.
Aris H.
Hi! I’m Aris, a Computer Science and Mathematics student at the University of Manchester with a deep passion for Maths and helping others succeed. I achieved top A-level results, including the highest mark in Europe in Pure Maths in 2022, and I’ve continued to perform at a high level in my degree. I know how stressful exams can be, and my goal is to help students build confidence, master core concepts, and learn how to tackle problems step-by-step. Whether you're struggling with algebra, aiming for an A* in calculus, or just want to feel more comfortable with tricky exam questions, I’m here to guide you with patience and clear explanations. My lessons are supportive, structured, and tailored to your needs. I focus not just on solving problems but on building real understanding — especially in areas like statistics, functions, and mathematical reasoning. I’ve often been the one classmates turn to for help, and now I’m excited to do the same for you. Let’s work together to turn challenges into strengths and reach your goals in Maths! I completed my secondary education at Apostolos Markos Lyceum in Cyprus, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematics and science. During my final year, I achieved first place in the 2022 Pancyprian Mathematics Competition, a national-level award recognising top mathematical ability. I then completed A-levels in Pure Mathematics, earning the highest mark in Europe in A-level Pure Mathematics. I am currently studying Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Manchester, one of the UK’s top universities. I have just completed my first year with a first-class overall mark of 82.583%, excelling in both theoretical and applied mathematics modules. My university coursework has further deepened my understanding of algebra, calculus, statistics, and logical problem solving. This background has given me the tools and confidence to support students at GCSE and A-level, particularly in Maths, and I am passionate about sharing that knowledge in a clear, structured way.
Maite M.
Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.
Fathima Shoudha A.
Hi, I’m Fathima Shoudha, an enthusiastic and dedicated online mathematics teacher with a deep passion for inspiring students to see the beauty and logic behind numbers. I believe that mathematics is not just about solving problems — it’s about developing critical thinking, logical reasoning, and creativity. My teaching philosophy centers around making math both accessible and enjoyable, especially for students who may find it intimidating at first. In my online classes, I focus on creating a supportive and interactive environment where every learner feels confident to ask questions, explore ideas, and grow at their own pace. I incorporate a variety of strategies, such as visual aids, real-world applications, and step-by-step problem-solving methods to ensure that each concept is clearly understood. Whether it’s mastering foundational skills or tackling advanced topics, I guide my students with patience, encouragement, and personalized attention. Beyond teaching, I enjoy painting and reading interesting facts, which help keep my creativity alive and add a refreshing touch to my lessons. These hobbies also remind me that learning never stops — there’s always something new to discover and share. My ultimate goal as a teacher is to help students not only improve their grades but also develop a lasting love for mathematics that empowers them in every aspect of life. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, a discipline that strengthened my analytical skills and deepened my understanding of logical and quantitative reasoning. Throughout my academic journey, I consistently performed well in Ordinary Level and Advanced Level examinations, particularly in mathematics and science-based subjects, which provided me with a solid foundation in problem-solving and critical thinking. During my studies, I became deeply interested in the educational process itself — how students learn best and how effective teaching methods can turn complex subjects into approachable concepts. This curiosity led me to explore different teaching strategies, including interactive and differentiated instruction, to cater to diverse learning styles. Over time, I realized that my true calling lies in helping students overcome their fear of mathematics and discover the satisfaction of mastering new skills. My background in science and mathematics allows me to design lessons that are both structured and engaging, blending analytical precision with creativity. I strive to connect mathematical concepts with real-life examples, making them meaningful and relevant to my students’ daily experiences. In addition, I continuously seek professional development opportunities to enhance my teaching techniques and stay current with modern educational tools and technologies. This combination of strong academic preparation, passion for learning, and commitment to student success enables me to create an encouraging and intellectually stimulating environment where every learner can thrive and reach their full potential.
