Hi! My name is Mariyah, a friendly and dedicated Maths tutor currently on my gap year after completing my A-levels. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and reach their full potential in both GCSE Maths and 11+ preparation. Having recently been through the exam process myself, I understand how to explain topics clearly, boost exam technique, and make lessons engaging and approachable. My sessions are tailored to each student’s learning style, focusing on building understanding and confidence step by step. I have recently completed my A-levels at St Clement Danes, studying Maths, Physics and Chemistry, getting BCC. These subjects have strengthened my critical thinking skills, making me have a deeper appreciation for how much we use these subjects every day. Having done the exams, I understand the struggles the students face and how to support them.

Aside from teaching English, I have a huge passion for sailing, and I work as a magazine and story editor! I have a Bachelor's degree in English Language & Culture (with a minor in Film and Audiovisual Media) from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, and a Master's degree in Western Literature from KU Leuven, Belgium! I have a degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the TEFL Institute of Ireland. I am extremely passionate about Irish poetry and Shakespeare and truly find the secondary English courses incredibly interesting - both to teach and to study.

Hi, I’m Anna Montclaire, an energetic and passionate Science teacher! I love helping students explore literature and language in fun, creative ways. My goal is to make learning exciting through lively discussions, role-playing, and multimedia projects, sparking curiosity and confidence in my students. In my free time, I enjoy watching anime and jogging every morning, which keeps me energized and inspired throughout the day. I graduated with a degree in Agricultural Chemistry. My studies provided a strong foundation in teaching methods, linguistics, and literature. I learned to plan engaging lessons, manage classrooms effectively, and adapt my teaching to different learning styles, making sure every student feels encouraged and empowered.

I am tutoring in Sociology and Religious Studies. I am currently studying for a BA in Sociology at the University of Warwick. I provide a flexible teaching style where everything is tailored to you. I am the welfare officer for Warwick STAR and I also have experience volunteering at primary and secondary schools and youth clubs. I have achieved a grade 4-9 in all of my GCSE'S. At college I studied criminology and sociology and I am now studying for a ba in Sociology at the University of Warwick.
