Hi! My name is Princess Joy Granado, and I am a Licensed Professional Teacher with over four years of experience teaching English. I have had the opportunity to teach in both private and public schools, which allowed me to work with learners from diverse backgrounds and adapt my teaching strategies to meet their varied needs. I graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English. My academic journey strengthened my mastery of the English language and further nurtured my passion for teaching. This achievement has shaped me into a dedicated, reflective, and effective educator. Currently, I teach English for Academic and Professional Purposes, Oral Communication in Context, and Practical Research 1 to Grade 11 students. Through these subjects, I help learners develop strong communication skills, academic writing competence, critical thinking, and research abilities that prepare them for higher education and professional environments. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education, major in English, which provided me with a strong foundation in teaching methods, linguistics, and literature. I also hold a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate, which enhanced my ability to teach English to learners from diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels. I am a public school teacher with several years of teaching experience, currently handling Grade 11 students. I teach English for Academic and Professional Purposes, Oral Communication in Context, and Practical Research 1. Through these subjects, I help students develop strong communication skills, academic writing competence, critical thinking, and research abilities essential for higher education and future careers. I truly enjoy teaching English because it allows us to communicate with the world. In my class, I want you to feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn. Do not worry if English feels challenging at first—we will practice together step by step. I believe learning should be fun and meaningful, so we will use activities, games, and real-life examples to make English easier to understand. I’m currently a medical student and I really like passing my knowledge to young people and helping them achieve the goals that they want. I aspire to create a safe, friendly environment for students, where they can ask me for help whenever. With a deep passion for education, I strive to instil not only knowledge but also critical thinking skills and confidence in my students. I attended Southend High School for Girls and completed my GCSEs there. For A levels,I moved to Southend High School for Boys. Currently i am a medical student at the University of Nottingham. I have about a year of tutoring experience from beforehand, and i have worked at ExploreLearning for a few months.

I was born in Cologne, Germany. I live now in Cornwall in the UK. I also lived 10 years in Amsterdam where I studied Fine Art. I hold a PGCE teaching qualification and a Level 3 certificate in English and Math. I am learning Swedish on my Duolingo app as I really enjoy learning new languages:) In my free time I enjoy making furniture pieces out of various woods. I like sports as well, especially racket sports like table tennis and tennis. I hold a PGCE qualification from Cornwall College Camborne. I also hold a Level 3 certificate in English and Math. I have a BA Hons on Fine Arts, a Level 2 Media Technician certificate and I did my A-Levels in German, Math, Biology and Art. I also hold a Level 2 certificate in Furniture Making.

I am first class honours graduate of Bioscience. I hold a postgraduate degreen in computer science. I have won national awards for my science communication. I am also confident in teaching learners with addtional needs. Overall, I am a confident and patient tutor with a passion for helping students learn and grow confident in their abilities. I have a first class honours degree in Bioscience from the Univeristy of Limerick. I hold a level 8 postgraduate degree in software development. I won the Mary Mulvihill award for science communication for my illustrated essay. From both my background in industry in research and development and my studies I am experienced in explaining complex issues like science in a way that is easy to understand.
