I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education major in Biological Sciences. Also, finished my Master's degree in Education major in General Science. My studies gave me a strong foundation in effective teaching strategies, scientific inquiry, and core concepts across biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics. I've been teaching in an actual classroom for 10 years. I learned how to design hands-on experiments, create inquiry-based lessons, and guide students through meaningful investigations that make science come alive. From planning engaging lab activities to managing a dynamic classroom environment, I focus on adapting my teaching to different learning styles so every student feels curious, confident, and empowered to explore the world around them. I specialise in GCSE and A Level Science, with a strong focus on exam technique and mark schemes. My students typically improve by 2–3 grades through targeted practice and clear, exam-ready explanations. Hi! I am an academically passionate tutor with A* A* A at A-level in English Literature, Biology, and History, and I am currently studying Law with Politics at degree level. I have over three years of tutoring and mentoring experience, working with 11+ and GCSE students. I also have specific experience helping students who were previously struggling or underperforming to move from failing grades to top grades - not just passing - through clear, structured, and targeted teaching. I genuinely enjoy tutoring because I’ve seen how powerful the right support can be, when something finally clicks, it completely changes how a student feels about a subject. Education History: I passed the 11+ in 2017 and attended the highly selective Pate’s Grammar School (2018–2025). I achieved 5 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s, and 2 Grade 7s at GCSE (2023), followed by A* A* A at A-level (2025) in English Literature, Biology, and History. I am currently studying Law with Politics at undergraduate level, continuing to develop strong analytical, evaluative, and written communication skills. Experience: Alongside my academic studies, I have developed over three years of tutoring and mentoring experience. I have worked with 11+ students as well as GCSE learners, helping students build confidence, improve exam technique, and achieve strong academic progress. My students have all performed successfully in 11+ exams, and have achieved 7s, 8s, and 9s at GCSE level. Hi! I'm Tom, a recent graduate from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Physics! I am a huge fan of learning new skills and having fun whilst doing so... which is probably why I spent the last 5 months as a Ski Instructor in Canada! It's not only skiing I enjoy, though, as I also took up Gaelic Football at Uni and have played hockey, football and rugby for most of my life. I have graduated from the University of Birmingham with a First Class in BSc Physics. Academically, I specialised in civil and medical nuclear engineering, which continue to be a passion of mine since leaving Uni. I am continuing my passion for learning, though, as I have completed several online courses in Data Science and Computational Fluid Dynamics!
