Hello! I’m Luzviminda Baldesco, a licensed and experienced educator with over 9 years of teaching experience I specialize in English, communication skills, and learner-centered instruction. I am C2 proficient in English, TEFL-certified, and a Civil Service passer. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in speaking, writing, and critical thinking through engaging, practical, and supportive lessons. I earned a Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in English, where I built a strong foundation in language, literature, teaching strategies, and classroom management. This training prepared me to create effective lesson plans, assess student progress, and apply learner-centered approaches for diverse learners. I also completed a Master of Arts in Language and Literature Instruction, which deepened my knowledge in linguistics, literary analysis, curriculum development, and advanced teaching methods. Through this, I strengthened my skills in research-based instruction, academic writing, and critical thinking. These experiences allow me to deliver engaging, meaningful, and results-driven English lessons that support student growth and confidence

I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Plymouth. From a young age I have always enjoyed helping others as it brings happiness and joy to me. This is also the main reason why I wanted to become a tutor. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, particularly football and cricket. I have 2 younger brothers, so I am always entertained. I love talking and spending time with them. For secondary school, I attended the Oxford Spires Academy where I completed my GCSEs. For 6th form, I was accepted by The Cherwell School, where I completed my A-levels. At GCSE level science I achieved a grade 8/8 and at A-levels I achieved grades A in both Biology and Chemistry. In my first year of UCAS application, I did not receive any offers to study Medicine at University. However, towards the end of summer I came across an opportunity to study medicine through an alternative route. The University of Plymouth were offering a one-year transfer from Biomed to Medicine providing one achieved 3 As at A-levels, maintained a 70% pass rate across all modules in 1st year and passed the interview for Medicine. In the previous year only 2/23 applicants were successful in this route. Although this was intense, I was able to successfully transfer from Biomed to Medicine after the 1st year. This year I just completed my 1st year as a Medical student at the University of Plymouth

Religion, Theology, Philosophy, Ethics and Film is my absolute passion and specialty! I have both an Undergraduate and a Masters Degree in the subject. I also have a PGCE and QTS with experience teaching primary school children and working one-to-one with SEN children. I hold my Level 2 in SEND. I attended York St John for both my Undergraduate and my Masters Degree in Religious Studies. In between, I gained a PGCE from Leeds Trinity and a QTS through my SCITT. I currently work in a Sixth Form College and support the A Level Philosophy, Religion and Ethics revision sessions and classes.

I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simple steps and adapting my teaching to each student’s needs. My goal is to create a positive, supportive learning environment where every student can succeed. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Pakistan, where my studies were fully taught in English. My academic background includes science, health, research methods, and statistics. I’ve always enjoyed maths and problem-solving, and my education helps me explain concepts clearly and support students effectively.
