I studied BSc Neuroscience at the University of Sussex before completing an MSc in Psychology & Neuroscience of Mind Body interface at King’s College London, where I achieved a Distinction in my thesis. My studies were highly research‑intensive, giving me strong skills in critical thinking, data analysis, and translating complex scientific ideas into clear, accessible explanations. Throughout my degrees, I developed a deep understanding of cognitive processes, mental health, and evidence‑based learning — all of which shape the way I support students today.

Hi! My name is Fatima and I’m a passionate and experienced tutor specialising in Science, Maths, and English for KS3, GCSE, and A-Level students. I’m currently a final year university student, and outside of academics, I enjoy reading fiction, especially classic literature and psychological thrillers. I also love creative writing and exploring different ways to explain complex ideas in simple terms, which is one of the reasons I enjoy tutoring. I’d describe myself as being supportive, patient, and curious, and I’m always up for discovering new things or helping others do the same. I achieved A*s and As in Science, Maths, and English at GCSE, and an A in A-Level English Literature. For A-Levels, I chose to pursue Biology, English Literature and Politics, which not only deepened my subject knowledge but also developed my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. I am looking forward to studying law at university in October.

I have been tutoring online since April 2018, predominantly helping overseas students learn English as a foreign language. Curriculum has ranged from Oxford Reading Tree to Reach, using a variety of subjects to help their learning process. Having been diagnosed with severe dyslexia when I was young, I have always had an affinity with those who struggle with education, and have had to develop my own way to learn efficiently, and use this experience to help others. I also hold an HND in music production, and have previously tutored 9 to 15 year olds Djing and music production.
