I am 19 years old taking a year out before going to study economics at university. I studied maths, physics and economics at A-level and got A*AA. I was captain of my first XV rugby team and have put on workshops for younger students so leading and helping peers is in my nature. Having recently left school, A-levels are fresh in my memory. I understand how a student wants to learn and what they may be struggling on in the syllabus. I attended Bradford Grammar School, where I was awarded a means-tested bursary in the 11+. I have 11 GCSEs and 3 A-levels all of equivalent grade A and above. Physics at A-level, in particular, forced me to work hard and be a critical thinker. I enjoyed the challenge of applying knowledge.

Many of these key skills in teaching have been gained through experience in part-time work as a volunteer assistant teacher, educational programs, and personal projects, while also picking up many skills from my parents given they are also teachers. I am Currently learning Spanish and Turkish and have recently taken up indoor climbing and in particular bouldering as a hobby. I enjoy reading and researching about not only topics associated with Chemical Engineering but on many different subjects, from geography to psychology, particularly through attending seminars and creating strong relationships with those from other disciplines. I enjoy travel and experiencing different cultures. Having travelled to Russia, North America, and Europe. Recently travelled to Geneva to take a guided tour round CERN, observe the LHC and converse with many leading minds at the forefront of scientific discovery. Completed 10 GCSE's including Maths, English and Sciences at Langley Secondary School, Solihull Achieved 3 A levels in Maths, Chemistry and Physics from Solihull Sixth Form College Have a First Class BEng degree form the University of Hull and will graduate with a First Class MEng degree in chemical engineering in July 2026 from the University of Hull

Hi, my name is Mads! I am currently attending the University St Andrews, studying for an MLitt in Intellectual History, which is essentially the history of learning and thinking. I recently graduated from the University of Warwick with a first class BA in Modern History. I’m a friendly and approachable tutor, excited to share my love for learning. I teach subjects I have studied previously and still integrate into the focus of my degree, so I continue to study them now! I love animals, board games and books, and look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for my subjects. I’m Avalon! I’m 22 years old, I’ve recently graduated with a degree in Chemistry from Cardiff University. I’m currently doing my PhD in Computational Chemistry (also at Cardiff University). My teaching style is very methodical but still aims to pass on my enthusiasm for my subject. 1st class BSc in Chemistry with a Placement year abroad: 2021-2025. Currently doing a PhD in Computational Chemistry: 2025-2029. A-levels Maths (A), Chemistry (A), Physics (B): 2019-2021. GCSEs achieved grades 7-9 in Maths, English and all three sciences.
