I graduated with a degree in Juris Doctor, or Doctorate of Law, a program that not only honed my legal expertise but also provided a broad and strong foundation in various disciplines such as teaching methods, linguistics, literature, politics, and Philippine history. Through my studies, I gained an understanding of the intersection between law and society, which enhanced my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. In addition to the legal coursework, I learned essential pedagogical skills that have proven invaluable in various teaching environments. I focused on designing lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring that all students, regardless of background, feel supported and encouraged in their learning journey. I am a Maths teacher with 4 years of experience. I studied Mathematics at the University of Reading, and earned my PGCE there too. I have worked with 3 GCSE classes to achieve their required grades in Mathematics and Numeracy. I am also able to teach A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, and have worked with one AS level class on their applied work in these areas. I studied BSc Mathematics at the University of Reading and achieved a 2:1 in 2021. I then went on to complete my PGCE in Secondary Education at the same university. I have completed a module at The Open University for my Masters in Education and will be completing the final module in the academic year 2026/27.

Hi, I’m Jamie Evans—a passionate and dedicated math teacher who loves bringing numbers to life in fun and meaningful ways. I strive to create an engaging learning environment where students can explore mathematics through interactive activities, real-world connections, and challenging problem-solving experiences. My goal is to spark curiosity, build confidence, and help every student discover the joy of learning math. Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing volleyball, which keeps me energized, focused, and ready to bring creativity into each lesson. I hold a degree in Civil Engineering, majoring in Construction Engineering and Management, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematical principles along with effective teaching strategies and classroom management skills. I’m a mechanical engineering student who enjoys learning, staying active, and improving at things over time. Outside academics, I train Muay Thai and play squash, which keeps me disciplined and focused. I’m naturally curious, patient, and I like explaining ideas in a way that actually makes sense to people. I value consistency, good communication, and personal growth, both in and out of education.
