Hello. My name is Darren Beech and I have been a Science Teacher for 26 years. I have taught all three science specialisms at key stage 3 (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Biology and Chemistry at GCSE and A level Biology. I have taught all ability ranges over these years and have had exemplary success with the students in my classes. Having left main school teacher in the summer of 2025 to care for a disabled parent, I have moved into tutoring to continue passing on my passion for science and to help continue to get students to progress through their qualifications. Having completed my GCSE;s (1992) and A levels (1995), I moved to the University of Derby to complete a BSC (HONS) degree in Biology (1998) and then onto a PGCE (Secondary science) with DeMontfort University (1999). I have then taught in 4 schools over my career as a teacher of science, where I also had additional responsibilities such as Head of Biology and Deputy Head of the 6th form.

I am a first-year Mathematics undergraduate at UCL with a strong academic record across mathematics and the sciences. Alongside my studies, I have always enjoyed helping others with their learning and regularly supported classmates at school when they needed extra explanation or guidance. This experience has shaped my clear, patient approach to teaching. I take pride in being reliable, well-prepared, and committed to helping students build both understanding and confidence in their subjects. Hi. I'm Ade, and I have been tutoring successfully for over 7 years now, with over 100 students (over 3 years on GoStudent with over 40 students), Grades 7 to 12, GCSE, and A-Levels. I have a Bachelors degree in Geophysics, a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Education, and I'm currently doing a 2nd Degree in Mathematics. I keep my lessons simple, with a focus on consistent practice. I also tailor my lessons to fit the student and get the best out of them. Simply put, I help you understand the foundations of the concepts you're trying to learn, and we'll do lots of practice. I specialize in building students skill and confidence in facing and solving problems. I'm pretty good at it because I am always learning new things myself, so I never forget what it's like be a semi-beginner, and I tend to relate very well with my students experience. This helps me communicate very effectively and support them unconditionally, all the while holding them to high expectations (based on their ability).
