I attended the University of Exeter, where I completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics and Politics, graduating with a 2:1 classification. My academic background provided me with strong analytical and quantitative skills, which form a solid foundation for teaching mathematics and reasoning-based subjects. Additionally, I hold professional competencies in curriculum delivery, student assessment, and adaptive teaching strategies, which I apply to create engaging and effective learning experiences tailored to each student's needs and goals.

I am passionate about teaching Maths because I enjoy helping students see that Maths is not something that is impossible but with help even the most complex topics can be broken down simply. It is especially nice when students come back to you with better results more confidence and a big smile. I can teach Mathematics for A-Levels and below. Big fan of football, cricket (which I play competitively for a club in the Surrey Leagues), video games and recently F1 I would like to preferably tutor students in secondary school, however I am open for Primary school students as well. Hi there. James here, from South Africa. I taught in London in Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and then in Johannesburg and Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa for a total of 21 years. I have taught Cambridge A Level History and England and South Africa's English and History curricula. I am also a published researcher, poet, and author. I enjoy cross-country running. I like NETFLIX mystery series. I regularly get out wilderness walking and cross country swimming. Since February 2025, I tutor English and Religious Studies for GoStudent. I battled with learning difficulties at school. However, I did very well after school, because I knew that English opens doors. So, I set goals. Then I achieved a B.A (1985) and a B. Ed (1996) degree, at Wits University in Johannesburg. I did a Masters Degree in Theology (Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., 2001) and a PhD in Church History (University of KwaZulu-Natal, 2016). I believe education is a lifelong journey. We master English every day for the rest of our lives. So I'm still learning as I tutor GCSE students, A Level students, and juniors, to reach their highest goals.

Hello! My name is Joshua, I am a patient tutor with a passion for mathematics, Spanish and economics, I am dedicated to helping students grasp complex concepts with ease. Currently pursuing higher education in economics at a Russell Group University. I bring a deep understanding and enthusiasm to each tutoring session. In addition to my academic pursuits, I find joy and relaxation in playing basketball during my spare time. My love for teaching is matched only by my commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment where students can thrive and achieve their full potential. I have attended Harrow School for my GCSEs and A Levels where I achieved stellar grades at at both levels (all A* at GCSE). At A levels I studied Economics, Maths, Spanish and Further Maths where I achieve A*A*AA respectively. I am currently studying economics at UCL.
