Hello! My name is Mark and I’m a graduate from Northumbria University with a 1st class Physics BSc with honours. I like to focus my sessions on the areas of a subject that you struggle with the most, starting from the beginning and building a strong understanding that you can use in the classroom and your exams. My sessions are pupil-led, where I am there to provide guidance, direction, examples and support. I love physics, especially the topics of space and energy, and I think that a passionate teacher can make even the most difficult subjects more approachable. I have experience tutoring, helping local pupils with their physics over COVID lock-downs. I look forward to meeting you! I have graduated from Northumbria University Newcastle with a First Class Bachelors with Honours in Physics. I studied Physics (A), Computer Science (A) and English Literature (B) at Bacup & Rawtenstall Grammar School. I have 12 months experience tutoring GCSE physics both online and in person.

I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. During the sessions, I work with my students through the agreed upon topic paying close attention to the core concepts, we go through some exam-style questions, and also learn how to frame the answers in the way examiners expect. I also share effecting studying and memory techniques to enable them to better learn and master their content. In my spare time, I enjoy singing (I'm currently taking a music theory class and hope to progress to one day play the cello) and dancing. These help me unwind and also have fun! I look forward to extending this interesting mixture of fun and learning to my students and help the strike that oh-so-elusive balance between work and play so that they can become the best versions of themselves. Je m'appelle Chloé (my name is Chloé) and I am a French native speaker :) As travelling and getting to know new cultures and languages is a real passion of mine, I am very excited to share my own; French culture and language. I myself had to learn a language that is not my native language (English) so I definitely know how challenging it is for my students to learn a new language. Therefore I can particularly help my students to overcome the fears they can have to learn a new language and truly put myself in their shoes. As it worked for me, I like to give lively interactive lessons using images or videos to optimise memory and focus. I also encourage my student to speak as much as possible, as I believe it is the best way to learn any language : 'PARLER, PARLER, PARLER'. I am the most experienced in giving lessons from Primary to GCSE level. I also have some experience in teaching A Levels and most particularly with adult learners and travellers. There I got the ESOL Entry 2 (NQF) and the IELTS ( grade 6.5) followed by the BTEC in Art & Design (equivalent to the bacalaureat) and then moved forward to a Fine art BA at UAL. Currently, I am in my third year of BA at Les beaux Arts of Paris ; where the French literary level is very high and sustained. In other words, I'll be very comfortable in both language to give you the clearest French lessons and to support you all along throughout the learning path you're taking!
