Hello! I’m Ayan, a medical student with a genuine love for learning and helping others succeed. I’ve been tutoring since 2022, and over that time, I’ve had the chance to work with students from all kinds of backgrounds and learning styles. Seeing someone go from feeling unsure to feeling confident in their studies is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. As a medical student, I’ve learned how to break down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand ideas a skill that’s incredibly useful when teaching. I specialize in Biology, Maths, Physics, and Science, and I teach students at the following levels: Primary Lower (KS1) Primary Higher (KS2) Secondary Lower (KS3) Secondary Higher (KS4-5) This allows me to work with students from their early years through to advanced secondary education, supporting them with foundational skills or more challenging material. I focus on creating lessons tailored to each student’s level and learning style, ensuring that concepts are both understandable and engaging. My background as a medical student has strengthened my knowledge of the sciences and given me experience in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and structured learning. I bring these skills into my tutoring sessions to help students not only prepare for exams but also develop a deep understanding of the subjects they are studying. Whether it’s helping a young learner build confidence in Maths, guiding a secondary student through complex Biology topics, or exploring Physics and Science concepts in a clear and approachable way, I aim to make learning productive and enjoyable. I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.
