Hello. I'm Debs, nice to meet you. I tutor a range of subjects, all based on experience of teaching within school, college and less tradiitional settings. I love tutoring one to one as that is the best way to give the student exactly what they need. I teach Sociology, Business and English at GCSE and A level and I have experience of AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I have also taught Btec Business level 1-3 In 2023 I completed a Master's degree in Philosophy as I love learning new things just as much as I love to teach. I make learning fun wherever possible and tailor every lesson to the student's needs. I use a variety of methods so you won't get bored and I am always happy to answer questions and re-explain things. There's no such thing as a silly question! Second year physics student at Lancaster university. Active in the Doctor Who society, though not knowledgeable enough to take part in the whoniversity challenge. Also the proud owner of several plants which are surviving surprisingly well; and I always seem to have a couple of creative projects on the go. Currently in my second year studying physics at Lancaster University. I sat AQA A-level Physics in June 2023 and also did A-level edexcel courses in Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths, achieving As in Physics and Maths. In 2022 I did a 10 week course of helping year 5s complete experiments and teaching them about the scientific method; as well as completing an externally-marked, independent research project.

I'm a medical student with 8+ years tutoring (A level / GCSE,). My expertise in chemistry / biology / maths. I do, however, encourage all my students to engage in spaced repetition learning. Whether we schedule that in during our sessions or if we use anki, this is probably the most important method of retaining information.
