I am a friendly, patient and determined tutor. I recently finished my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. I believe that this experience puts me in a great position to share my knowledge to help other students because I know what is needed in order to excel in these subjects. I always like to focus on what you as a student need help with to ensure that you get the most out of every lesson, and spend as much time making progress as possible I would describe myself as methodical and systematic and I think my teaching style reflects this. First, I like to ensure that there is an understanding of the key principles of the topic. Then I like to break questions down and look at the key steps in the method for that question type. I think that repetition is extremely important and the key to mastering a particular topic is encountering as many different variations of questions as possible. So this is what I will encourage. I have previous experience teaching other students from my school A-level maths concepts which they struggled with. While preparing for A-levels I created some resources that enabled me to achieve 4 A*s in the subjects above and have helped other students. I would be happy to share these and other strategies I used in preparation for exams. Outside of academics, I am a relaxed person and enjoy a wide range of sports, my favourites being football and basketball. I also enjoy reading and spending time with family. Hi, my name is Medhavi and I am a first year medical student. I aspire to teach in a way that is tailored for the student's individual needs by combining aspects of theory with hands-on learning and exam questions. I hope to foster a positive and encouraging environment for the student by patiently easing them into the content and building our way up. I understand that attending tuition can be a daunting experience at times, which is why I strive to be a compassionate and understanding tutor. I have achieved all top grades 7-9 in GCSE, with 9s in Biology and Chemistry. I have also achieved As in A Level Psychology and Biology. From years 7-13, I attended a highly selective grammar school and am now entering my first year of medical school. I have taken part in work experience at Broomfield hospital and have received certification for this. I have prior experience with tutoring, and have worked alongside children ages 5 and up in both teaching and volunteering jobs.
