Hi, I’m Erica and I tutor GCSE Maths and Chemistry. I have a masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester and studied Maths, Chemistry and Physics at A Levels. I am very passionate about impacting young lives and encouraging an interest in STEM. I have worked as a programme manager for a mentoring programme, as a mentor for primary school children and volunteered as a helper at my sixth form homework club for GCSE students. In my spare time, I love to do yoga, travel and rollerskate.

I’m currently a medical student and I really like passing my knowledge to young people and helping them achieve the goals that they want. I aspire to create a safe, friendly environment for students, where they can ask me for help whenever. With a deep passion for education, I strive to instil not only knowledge but also critical thinking skills and confidence in my students. I attended Southend High School for Girls and completed my GCSEs there. For A levels,I moved to Southend High School for Boys. Currently i am a medical student at the University of Nottingham. I have about a year of tutoring experience from beforehand, and i have worked at ExploreLearning for a few months.

Hello! I'm a passionate fourth-year medical student at a leading London university, driven by a genuine love for learning and teaching, especially in Maths, Chemistry and Biology. Having recently navigated the GCSE curriculum myself and achieving top grades, I understand exactly what it takes to succeed and the common hurdles students face. My experience both as a student and a tutor have instilled in me a deep empathy and commitment to providing a supportive, student-focused environment. I thrive on breaking down complex ideas into understandable steps, helping students build not just their academic skills but also their confidence. As a fourth-year medical student at a top London university, I bring a robust academic foundation, highlighted by achieving all A star grades in both GCSE's and A-levels. This recent success, coupled with my medical training's emphasis on analytical thinking, directly informs my tutoring approach. I have approximately 50 hours of dedicated GCSE tutoring experience, including guiding a Year 10 student to significantly exceed their predicted grades. This is complemented by skills that I have developed through three years of working in retail, where I honed exceptional communication, patience, and problem-solving skills, all vital for creating a supportive and effective learning environment.

Hi! I'm Simon, a Chemical Engineering Graduate from the University of Manchester, with over three years of teaching and tutoring experience. For the past 3 years I have been running a tutoring business teaching mostly Maths and Science subjects from Year 7 to A-Level. I have also taught Maths and Languages at an international high school in Singapore, and a primary school in the UK. (+DBS) Available weekday evenings, from 5-8pm. Message me and I will be happy to juggle other commitments. I completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering with Industrial Experience at the University of Manchester, an accredited pre-chartership qualification within the field. This rigorous program combined in-depth academic study with practical industry exposure, preparing me for a professional career in chemical engineering. The course covered a wide range of core modules, including Thermodynamics, Process Optimisation, and Fluid Mechanics, in which I achieved consistently high marks, graduating with a First-Class classification at the bachelor's level. Throughout the degree, I developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly through group-based design projects and hands-on laboratory work. These projects provided opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world, commercially relevant scenarios, fostering my ability to work effectively in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams. A key component of the program was a year-long industrial placement, during which I worked for a chemical distribution company. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insight into the commercial side of chemical engineering and build a practical understanding of supply chains, technical sales, and operations. It also enabled me to contribute meaningfully to the company’s work while developing essential workplace skills such as communication, project management, and adaptability. Since completing my degree, I’ve continued working with the same company, now in a professional capacity with a focus on sustainability. My final-year dissertation centred on sustainable surfactant research, which sparked a deeper interest in the environmental impact of chemical processes. This has led me to transition into a more corporate sustainability role, where I support the integration of sustainable practices across the business.
