Hi, I’m Khaled! 💻 I’m a Computing student at the University of Greater Manchester with a passion for helping others learn. 📚 What I teach: • Primary Maths • Secondary Maths • GCSE Maths (all exam boards) 🤝 My style: I’m patient, supportive, and good at explaining tricky topics in a simple way. 🎯 My goal: Build confidence, improve results, and make maths less stressful for every student. Outside of tutoring, I love 💻 coding, ⚽ sports, and 💪 working hard — and I bring that same energy and motivation into my lessons I am currently an undergraduate Computing student at the University of Greater Manchester. Before starting my degree, I completed my GCSEs with a strong focus on mathematics, then progressed through a Foundation Year in Computing, which built my skills in maths, logic, and problem-solving and prepared me for degree-level study.

Since joining GoStudent back in April 2023, I’ve had the incredible privilege of tutoring for over two years — and what a journey it has been! In that time, I’ve not only grown as a teacher but also as a communicator, motivator, and lifelong learner. My lessons are anything but “one-size-fits-all.” Every session is designed to spark curiosity, encourage outside-the-box thinking, and make learning genuinely enjoyable. I love giving students (and their families) the chance to shape the direction of our lessons — because when learning feels personal, progress happens naturally. For me, the most rewarding part of tutoring is watching students go from “I can’t” to “I can.” Whether it’s tackling tricky topics, preparing for exams, or simply rediscovering a love for learning, I’m here to celebrate every step forward and keep that momentum going. I studied at the UCL School of Pharmacy, where I am currently preparing to sit my final MPharm exams following a recent gap period. In October 2022, I proudly graduated with a First-Class MSci in Pharmaceutical Studies, a course that challenged me academically while also sparking my curiosity for problem-solving and research. Beyond the textbooks, I’ve always believed that learning should be creative and enjoyable. That’s why you’ll often find me making colourful, artsy study notes (which are slowly turning into a revision blog!), or bringing a creative twist into my lessons to help tricky concepts click. My education hasn’t just been about exams and grades — it’s also taught me how to stay curious, resilient, and open-minded, and I try to pass that on to every student I work with.

Hello! I'm Jeffry C. Ruma, a Licensed Professional Teacher with a wealth of experience in education. I’ve had the honor of serving as a University Instructor and currently teach at a public school with the Department of Education. With a National Certificate in Computer System Servicing and as a proud WorldSkills Competition Winner 2022, I specialize in Computer Science, Educational Technology, and Contact Center Services. I also excel as a face-to-face tutor in Computer Science, English, Math, Geography, Science (particularly Chemistry and Biology), Sociology, Economics, and Psychology. Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.
