Hi, I’m Arthi, a medical student at Queen Mary University of London with a strong passion for teaching. I specialise in tutoring Biology, Sciences, and Maths at all educational levels, and I’m committed to helping students build confidence, improve understanding, and reach their academic goals. Hi! I’m a multilingual Chemical Engineering student at the University of Edinburgh. I teach Spanish, English, Maths and Chemistry, adapting each lesson to the student’s level, goals and learning style. I focus on clear explanations, practical examples and interactive exercises to help students build confidence, improve their understanding and make steady progress. I am patient, approachable and happy to support both schoolwork and exam preparation. Before university, I completed secondary education (Spanish Baccalaureate) in Spain following a scientific curriculum. I also spent an academic year abroad in New York, which strengthened my English, independence and ability to adapt to an international learning environment. Hello! My name is Ria, and I am a Chemical Engineering graduate with Honours from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where I completed my degree in November 2025. I am passionate about education and enjoy helping students build confidence in their abilities. While I primarily tutor Mathematics, I can also assist with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I am comfortable teaching learners from Grade R through Grade 12, although I particularly enjoy working with younger students between the ages of 6 and 12, as this is such an important stage for building strong academic foundations. Throughout my academic journey, I have informally tutored family members, friends, and classmates from high school through to university level. These experiences taught me that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor my teaching style to suit each individual learner. I strive to create a calm, patient, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn. My goal as a tutor is not only to improve grades but also to help students develop confidence, curiosity, and a positive attitude towards learning. My academic journey has been shaped by a strong passion for mathematics, science, and problem-solving. I graduated with a Chemical Engineering degree with Honours from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) in South Africa in November 2025. Throughout my studies, I developed a solid foundation in mathematics, physics, chemistry, process engineering, and analytical thinking, while also learning how to approach complex problems in a logical and structured manner. Chemical engineering is a challenging and multidisciplinary field that combines scientific principles with practical problem-solving to design and improve industrial processes. During my degree, I studied a wide range of subjects, including advanced mathematics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, reaction engineering, process control, and process design. These subjects strengthened both my technical knowledge and my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively. One of the most rewarding aspects of my academic career was participating in research and design projects. I worked on a biogas enrichment research project that focused on improving the methane content of biogas through water scrubbing techniques. This project involved laboratory work, experimental design, data analysis, and technical presentations. Through this experience, I developed strong analytical, research, and communication skills while gaining hands-on laboratory experience. In addition, I completed several engineering design projects involving distillation design, reactor design, process simulation, process optimisation, and process control. These projects required the use of engineering software and the application of theoretical knowledge to real-world engineering challenges. They also strengthened my teamwork, problem-solving, and project management abilities. Throughout my academic journey, I have regularly assisted family members, friends, and classmates with their studies, ranging from school-level mathematics and science to university-level engineering concepts. These experiences helped me develop a patient and adaptable teaching style and reinforced my passion for education. My academic background has equipped me with not only strong technical knowledge but also the ability to explain concepts in a clear, engaging, and accessible way. I’m Enola - I’m a second year student at the University of Nottingham studying Economics but I’m originally from Folkestone, Kent! I have a strong background in maths and I’ve helped students at GCSE and A-Level feel more confident by focusing on understanding, rather than memorising. I love to read, do yoga and play tennis outside of my studies :) At the Folkestone School for Girls, I achieved 9999988888 at GCSE and took A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, History and French with an A in Maths. Currently, I’m studying BSc Economics at the University of Nottingham and am on track for a first. I’ve chosen to specialise in Econometrics modules, which is the maths/ statistics side of Economics. I have around 2 years of experience in tutoring. I tutored two GCSE students weekly for around a year in Maths and Science. I also did tutoring every week within school, running drop in sessions at lunchtime for year 7 - year 11 students.
