Hello, my name is Ali, and I’m a university academic based in the UK. I have over 19 years of experience teaching mathematics and physics, and I enjoy helping students turn difficult ideas into something clear and manageable. For me, teaching is about building confidence as well as knowledge. I find it particularly rewarding when a student who once struggled with a topic begins to understand it and enjoys solving problems independently. Beyond teaching, my interests include engineering, scientific research and how mathematics and physics explain the world around us. My educational background combines a bachelor’s degree from Tehran Polytechnic with a PhD in Tribology from the University of Leeds, completed in 2016. Tribology is the study of friction, wear and lubrication, drawing on mathematics, physics, mechanics and materials science to solve practical engineering problems. My doctoral studies were undertaken within a Marie Curie research network, providing opportunities to learn from researchers and collaborate with universities and industrial organisations internationally. This training strengthened my analytical thinking, mathematical modelling and problem-solving skills, which underpin my approach to teaching. I use this foundation to help students understand how equations and scientific principles work and why they matter. Whether teaching GCSE, A-level or university students, I break complex problems into manageable steps and connect theory with practical examples to develop understanding and confidence.

Hello!! My name is Malobi. I am an 18 year old univeristy student currently studying computer engineering at the university of Birmingham. I have completed my A levels recently during the 2026 summer period where I am pleased to say that I have acheived an A in my computer science A level exam. My experience in teaching includes taking part in maths mentoring during year 12 where I would teach GCSE students who in particular were stuggling, I taught at a coding camp called code ninjas for children ranging from the ages between 7-14, and I have partken in the peer educator programme in my sixth form where I would teach the year 7s from my school lifeskills. With this experience, I feel like I know the suitable teaching methods specific to your childs learning style, meaning I can adjust to different tutees, making me a sutiable tutor for your child :) I have previously completed my GCSEs in 2024 and have recently completed my a levels in 2026. I have acheived a 7 in computer science GCSE as well as a 7 in maths GCSE. For my a levels I have acheived an A in a level computer science while acheiving a B in a level maths. I am now curretly a 1st year student in the University of Birmingham studying computer engineering.

Hi, I am Naomi and I am thrilled to be your online tutor. I have had the pleasure of working with students from different ages and backgrounds. I am a tutor for Mathematics and my target students are primary to secondary students. Everyone has a unique learning style, and I like to adapt my teaching approach to meet each student’s needs. I use the online interactive whiteboard for lessons which allows both parties to write, annotate or highlight on the screen. The work for every lesson is carefully designed to suit each individual's need which is identified from initial assessment and ongoing observations. I enjoy teaching because I love helping students to develop their skills and achieve their academic goals.
