After a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpretation and a Master's in Conference Interpreting, I have been learning languages for years now and, in 2019, I decided to pass on to my students the language acquisition techniques that helped me when learning French, Russian, Arabic, Basque and English. Here goes one: make the impossible to surround yourself with a Spanish or Hispanic environment (tutors, friends, relatives, news... > culture will boost your motivation to continue learning). I lived in Valencia, Donostia, Bilbao, Madrid and Huelva but I also lived in Bordeaux, Bergerac and Paris. I started teaching Spanish in the Spanish city of Vitoria (also known as the Basque Siberia) because I wanted to help the immigrants coming every year to start a new life in Spain. I found that the best way to help them was by teaching them Spanish so that they could communicate with others and build a brand-new life. In 2020, I started teaching and tutoring French and Spanish on digital learning platforms. Up until now, I have helped more than 90 people (all ages, students with SEND educational profiles, backgrounds and cultures) reach their goals onsite and online and have been translating, project managing and interpreting for 3 years! I am a results-oriented, dedicated, and enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal skills who has maintained a positive attitude in all situations. I enjoy learning new things, taking on challenges, and finding practical solutions to problems. Whether working independently or as part of a team, I bring a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to doing my best. My role of Head Girl at my past school, St John's College allowed me to improve my time management skills as I had to balance this role alongside my A Level examinations and UCAS deadlines. I've been a ballet dancer since the age of 4 and have completed my Grade 8 aswell as my Intermediate qualification. I've also completed my RAD Assistant Teacher Training course which helped my organisational skills and highlights my dedication to teaching others. I want to teach because I enjoy helping others understand topics they once found difficult and seeing their confidence grow. Maths can feel intimidating, and I find it rewarding to break concepts down in a clear, supportive way that makes learning feel achievable. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge while making a positive, practical difference to students’ academic journeys. Hey there, my name is Percy. I have recently completed my A-level exams in Maths, Physics, Economics and Graphics, and I am studying Architecture at the University of Nottingham in September. I achieved A*A*A*A in my A-levels and 12 Grade 9s in my GCSE exams across subjects like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business and Geography. In 2024, I was honoured to be a finalist in the prestigious British Education Award. I have realised the importance of education and strive to help students excel academically across a range of subjects. I am confident in my ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to individual student needs, and I can teach across a variety of GCSE subjects. I have experience teaching both face-to-face and online, particularly in Mathematics at both the KS3 and GCSE levels. Beyond formal tutoring, I have volunteered to host revision seminars and organised revision notes for younger students. As someone who has recently completed GCSEs, I am familiar with the syllabus, and I can cater to students of varying abilities and goals. I tailor my lessons to the students’ specific needs, whether that involves identifying knowledge gaps before tests, revisiting challenging topics, working on school assignments, or learning new concepts. My lessons are customised for all major exam boards, including AQA, CEA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC. My lessons are 1 hour long and for students studying in KS3 or GCSE. My lessons typically follow a structured approach with three main components: Recapping topics from previous lessons to ensure a solid understanding, reviewing mistakes or concerns from weekly assignments. Introducing new topics in a clear and engaging way, encouraging active participation. During lessons, I also share a range of effective revision strategies and exam tips, proven to help my students improve their performance in exams. My ultimate goal is to enhance my students’ interest in the subject and boost their confidence.

I am a first year biomedical science student at Queen Mary University of London. I have a passion for science and mathematics and enjoy being able to help others achieve their unique goals. I have had a years worth of experiencing in tutoring people between the ages of 5 and 16 years old and I am looking forward to being able to work with a wider range of students. I studies for my GCSEs at Westcliff High School for Girls and achieved the grades 9998888776. I then studied my A Levels (maths, biology and chemistry) at Southend High School for Girls where I achieved ABB. I am now currently in my first year of studying an undergraduate degree at Queen Mary University of London for biomedical sciences. I have spent a year with the company KipMcGrath where I was a student tutor for people between the ages of 5 and 16 years old in subjects including English, Mathematics and Science.
