Hi! I'm Nayen. I was born and grew up in London (which is where I live now). Alongside tutoring, I work in the UK space sector, helping promising start-ups to grow by securing investment. I love to keep fit, travel, and am a bit of a sci-fi geek. Mathematics is a passion of mine and I hope I can give you as much enthusiasm for it as I have! My name is Maria Bazhenova, I am originally Russian but I live in Switzerland and go to university in England, Durham University to be specific! I can speak four languages: English, Russian, French and Italian. I have been playing tennis my whole life and love exploring new places! I attended a school in Switzerland where I studied the International Baccalaureate (IB) and completed it and earned the diploma. I then did a one year course at a university business school in London which I received a first class standing in. I am currently a student at Durham University, about to enter my second year after completing my first year, and I am studying Accounting and Finance.

Many of these key skills in teaching have been gained through experience in part-time work as a volunteer assistant teacher, educational programs, and personal projects, while also picking up many skills from my parents given they are also teachers. I am Currently learning Spanish and Turkish and have recently taken up indoor climbing and in particular bouldering as a hobby. I enjoy reading and researching about not only topics associated with Chemical Engineering but on many different subjects, from geography to psychology, particularly through attending seminars and creating strong relationships with those from other disciplines. I enjoy travel and experiencing different cultures. Having travelled to Russia, North America, and Europe. Recently travelled to Geneva to take a guided tour round CERN, observe the LHC and converse with many leading minds at the forefront of scientific discovery. Completed 10 GCSE's including Maths, English and Sciences at Langley Secondary School, Solihull Achieved 3 A levels in Maths, Chemistry and Physics from Solihull Sixth Form College Have a First Class BEng degree form the University of Hull and will graduate with a First Class MEng degree in chemical engineering in July 2026 from the University of Hull

Hi! I’m a friendly tutor who enjoys helping students gain confidence in their learning. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can thrive academically. One of my favorite hobbies is reading, I love escape reality with dystopian novels! I’m an experienced tutor with a strong background in preparing primary school students for SATS and the 11+ exams. I also specialise in UCAT tutoring, helping aspiring medical students navigate this challenging entrance exam. My approach is focused on building confidence, improving test-taking strategies, and ensuring students are fully prepared.
