I tutor with passion, purpose and a genuine commitment to helping every student reach their potential. My approach is flexible and completely student-centred, because I understand that every learner is different and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to education. I break down complex topics into simple, manageable steps and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence. My goal is not just to help students succeed in their lessons, but to give them the skills, understanding and confidence to become independent learners beyond the classroom. I’m invested in every student’s progress and tailor each lesson to what works best for them. I completed my GCSEs in the United Kingdom, where I built a strong academic ...

Strong experience tutoring A Level Chemistry and GCSE students in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Maths. I have worked with students across all major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR), tailoring lessons to suit their learning styles. I focus on breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and use real-life examples to build understanding and confidence. Subjects taught: Psychology Educations levels taught: GCSE / Scottish Nationals, A-Level / Scottish Highers, UG Psychology My Teaching Style: I'm a tutor because I love helping people to learn and succeed, and this is reflected in my approach to tutoring. I adapt lesson style and content to your needs. We can go through specific subject areas, study skills and exam skills as required. I can vary how the material is delivered according to the situation and what works for you. I will teach and do lecture notes where appropriate, or take a more "coaching" style if that suits you and the situation better. We can even do more seminar/discussion style lessons as you become more comfortable with the material. At the heart of all of the above is making sure that we are working together so that you can achieve your goals. I know that you are probably already having lessons in school or at home, and my goal will be to complement those existing lessons rather than replacing them so that you can get the best value out of our time together. Specialisms: I am able to cover all aspects of the curriculum but I am particularly focused on skills. Psychology is a little different to other subjects covered at A-Level - not only do students have to learn a lot of information and produce it under exam conditions, but there is also a need to analyze and evaluate what has been learned so that they can write clearly, concisely and insightfully about that information. As well as teaching the syllabus content, I can help improve a student's thinking and writing skills so that they can go into exams with more confidence. I have also developed my coaching skills so work with students to help them improve their own problem-solving capabilities so that they can identify how they can study more effectively. A bit about me: I'm a PhD-qualified tutor who, over the course of my career, spent time working as a researcher, consultant and analyst across different industries. In all of those other roles, the part I enjoyed most was training, teaching and coaching people, so I am working towards making that my full-time career. Working in industry has taught me the importance of always turning up prepared and ready to work, using clear, prompt and honest communication and making sure that whoever I am working with knows that I am working in their best interests. The same will apply when we work together. In my spare time I love to play football and follow a lot of sport. I am learning to play guitar (very slowly) and enjoy listening to music, going to gigs when the opportunity arises. I love learning and am always doing some course or another - I'm currently studying to teach English as a foreign language and working towards accredited coach status. PhD Psychology - University of Leeds MSc Occupational Psychology - University of Sheffield BSc Psychology - University of Sheffield A-Levels - Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Sociology (all A grade) Teaching Experience: Delivered MSc lectures on Psychology Research methods Lead seminars, labs and one-to-one sessions with Undergraduate Psychology students on a variety of topics within Psychology 300+ lessons on GoStudent I have worked in a number of roles as an Improvement Consultant, Client Services Analyst and Academic Researcher. A common thread in all those roles was coaching and teaching colleagues and communicating complex information to a range of people who did not necessarily share the same background. This means that I can work effectively with anyone as their tutor.

Hello! My name is Aminah, and I’m an Accounting and Finance student at Aston University with a strong academic background in Maths and a passion for helping students feel more confident and capable in the subject. I understand that every student has a different learning style, which is why I adapt my teaching methods to suit their individual needs. Whether you’re struggling with basic concepts or aiming for top grades, I create lessons that are structured, supportive, and easy to follow — always encouraging questions and active participation. My approach is patient, calm, and clear. I break down topics step by step and use real-life examples to help ideas stick. I want my students to not only improve academically but to build long-term confidence in their abilities. Outside of tutoring, I love baking, reading, and solving puzzles — hobbies that help me stay creative and detail-oriented, which also influences how I teach. I believe learning should be enjoyable and engaging, and I strive to bring that into every session. If you’re looking for a tutor who’s approachable, committed, and ready to help you grow in Maths, I’d be excited to work with you! I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at Aston University. This course has deepened my understanding of numbers, logical thinking, and problem-solving—skills that are essential in both mathematics and tutoring. Before university, I completed my GCSEs and A Levels at King Edward VI Lordswood School for Girls. At GCSE level, I achieved a grade 8 in Mathematics, which I’m especially proud of. Having recently gone through the exam process myself, I understand the challenges that KS1 to GCSE students face, and I’m well-equipped to guide them with effective study techniques, structured support, and encouragement. My academic journey has given me a strong foundation in maths and a clear sense of how to explain concepts in a way that is simple, engaging, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I’m passionate about helping students gain confidence, tackle difficult topics, and achieve their full potential.

Whether you are looking to secure a strong pass in National 5 and GCSE or trying to conquer the advanced complexities of Higher and A-Level Chemistry, I am here to make the science click. As a BSc (Hons) Biological Chemistry and Drug Discovery graduate from the University of Dundee and a former Life Science Society President, I specialise in breaking down intimidating scientific concepts into clear, logical steps. We will move away from stressful, raw memorisation and focus instead on the core principles, helping you understand exactly why reactions happen and how structures work. Our lessons are entirely interactive and built around how you learn best. Utilising a laptop paired with an iPad and stylus, I turn our sessions into a live digital whiteboard. Together, we can sketch out organic reaction mechanisms, solve complex chemical calculations side-by-side, and directly annotate past exam papers in real time. This hands-on approach allows us to dissect actual exam formatting, decode tricky question wording, and build the specific exam techniques needed to maximise your marks. With professional experience in educational content editing and academic leadership, I provide a highly structured, resource-packed, and efficient tutoring experience. Above all, my sessions offer a collaborative, supportive, and zero-judgment environment where you can freely ask questions and build genuine confidence. Let’s team up, master the curriculum, and get you fully prepared to ace your upcoming exams. I have a BSc (Hons) in Biological Chemistry and Drug Discovery from the University of Dundee at an upper second class honours grade (2:1). Studied Biology, Chemistry and Economics at A-Level and Achieved 11 GCSEs at grades 6-9. I have a coaching qualification in gymnastics and was a member of the RAF air cadets, in which i took and passed aeronautics exams.
