I have been teaching KS3 and GCSE English Language and Literature, and A-Level English Literature, for 3+ years both online and in-person. I am most experienced in teaching GCSE English Language and Literature following the AQA, Edexcel and Eduqas exam boards, and OCR for A-Level Literature. I take pride in how I always adapt my teaching style to my student’s needs, requirements and preferences. My experience as a tutor extends to both traditional in-person teaching and modern online platforms. Each mode of instruction has presented unique challenges and opportunities, and adapting my teaching style accordingly has been a rewarding experience. In face-to-face tutoring, I developed the ability to assess a student’s understanding in real time, adjusting my approach based on their reactions and engagement levels. This hands-on experience helped me refine my ability to explain complex ideas in simple, relatable ways, making abstract concepts in mathematics and physics more tangible. I had my IGCSE's in Egypt , then I went to a Military Engineering University where I studied Chemical Engineering , graduated in 1999 and worked in my field until 2009 when I took on teaching physics and maths in international schools until 2014 when I focused on tutoring and moved back to the UK where I opened the Digital marketing agency where I help clients build there businesses and teach their teams how to do it themselves in workshops and classes , alongside with tutoring some students in maths and physics.

My name is Imad and I am currently a first year medicine student at the University of Liverpool, having attended a grammar school prior. Tutoring has always been a passion of mine, and I have much experience tutoring in the last five years offering both a private service as well as tutoring friends and family through 11+, GCSE and A-level exams. In these five years, I have managed to perfect my teaching style to get the most out of my students. My teaching style is heavily interactive, placing emphasis on students finding answers on their own with my guidance for better understanding. My proven track record demonstrates my ability to effectively convey complex concepts in a manner that is easily understandable and relatable to students. I am completely aware that not all students are the same and everyone has their own preference when learning, which is why I am committed to tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each individual student. I like to think of myself as a tutor that students can easily relate to, making students more interested in paying attention during the lesson and trying to get the most of it without feeling bored or lost. I prioritise building strong rapport and trust with my students, creating a supportive learning environment where they feel comfortable expressing their challenges and asking questions. I understand the importance of not just academic support, but also emotional support, particularly during stressful periods such as exams or major assignments. As a tutor, I am not just a teacher, but also a mentor and a cheerleader, providing encouragement, guidance, and constructive feedback every step of the way, using personal experience and what had worked on myself in the past to help my students in any way possible. By choosing me as their tutor, students can expect not only academic improvement but also a mentor who is passionate about their success and invested in helping them reach their full potential, as well as reaching a deeper understanding and appreciation for the subject matter. I am currently a first year medicine student at the University of Liverpool. In 2015, I took the 11+ exam, securing a place at all 5 grammar schools that I applied to. Eventually, I went on to attend King Edward VI Grammar School (KEGS), a school consistently ranked in the top 10 schools in the UK. At GCSE level, I gained five grade 9's, four grade 8's and three grade 7's. This includes a grade 9 in all subjects that I tutor. At A-level, I gained A*, A*, A, B in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and EPQ.

Hello! I'm Fintan, I'm a 2nd year student at Cardiff University studying Financial Mathematics (BSc) - Primarily a further development into the field of Maths, with some time spent learning about Corporate management and Investment Management. My teaching approach focuses on consolidating knowledge and encouraging critical thinking. To excel in A-Level Maths, it is important to not only know the content, but for it to feel like second nature, so that when it comes to higher level questions, you can identify and apply the methods confidently. Whether you're just starting year 12, or coming to the end of year 13, today is the best time to enrol with a private tutor, to give you that extra edge over your competition. I attended Devonport High School for Boys from 2016 to 2023. Achieving a 9 in mathematics at GCSE level and an A in mathematics at A-level. I'm now building on the skills from A-Level in an undergraduate mathematics degree at Cardiff University. My best area in the A-Level Mathematics syllabus is Statistics.
