My interest in science began as a child when I was immersed in textbooks and conducting science experiments with friends in our garden. I have completed my bachelor's degree in Zoology from Hansraj College, University of Delhi. My name is Abdurrehman and I am a Business student at the University of Salford. My friends describe me as hardworking, dedicated and focussed. Business and Economics has a huge importance in my life, not only because of its link to my career, but because of an interest I have in me. Having attained AAB in my A Levels and 8s and 7s in GCSEs, I have developed from an outstanding student to an incredible tutor. In high school my Maths teachers always applauded my excellent problem solving and maths skills as I acheived an 8 in GCSE, and I am looking forward to sharing these tips with students of my own. I enjoy teaching science because, apart from being great at it in my GCSEs, i like how vast the subjects are and how ever evolving they are. I have a vast experience of teaching, from volunteering experiences to jobs in different settings with tutoring - which helped me fine tune my teaching skills and made me really adaptable to different teaching styles. As a young tutor, the age gap between me and my students will be relatively small and will allow me to understand them much better, as well as make the lessons more fun and engaging as I know how to meet their needs. Second year physics student at Lancaster university. Active in the Doctor Who society, though not knowledgeable enough to take part in the whoniversity challenge. Also the proud owner of several plants which are surviving surprisingly well; and I always seem to have a couple of creative projects on the go. Currently in my second year studying physics at Lancaster University. I sat AQA A-level Physics in June 2023 and also did A-level edexcel courses in Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths, achieving As in Physics and Maths. In 2022 I did a 10 week course of helping year 5s complete experiments and teaching them about the scientific method; as well as completing an externally-marked, independent research project.
