Hi! I'm Tom, 22 years old, and currently a student at the university of Birmingham studying chemical engineering at a masters level. I'm very enthusiastic about anything maths and science, bringing practical engineering application to life. I live in the heart of north wales, love to swim and play football. I attended the Kings school Chester for both secondary school and sixth form. I obtained seven grade 9's, two grade 8's and an A* in further maths (10 A*s in old money). At sixth form, I obtained an A* in maths and chemistry, and an A in physics at A level. I then went on to study chemical engineering at the University of Birmingham, averaging a first-class honours degree in my first three years. I am now currently going into my final year to obtain an integrated masters degree.

I'm a dedicated tutor with genuine enthusiasm for helping students excel in English, Maths, and Italian. Having completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels in England and currently studying at the University of Bristol, I understand the pressures students face and know how to make learning feel less overwhelming. My previous tutoring experience has taught me that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor each lesson to individual needs and learning styles. Whether you're struggling with algebra, need conversation practice in Italian, or want to improve your English grammar, I believe learning should be engaging and confidence-building rather than intimidating. I'm committed to creating a supportive environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes and celebrating progress. My goal is to help you not just understand the concepts, but to use your knowledge confidently in exams and real-world situations. I'm patient, encouraging, and always happy to explain concepts in different ways until they click I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels in England at St Benedict's School in Ealing with strong results, achieving A*AA in Spanish, Mathematics, and Economics at A-Level. This led to my acceptance at the University of Bristol where I am currently studying Spanish and Italian. My language studies have deepened my understanding of grammar structures and language acquisition. As Italian is my mother tongue - spoken at home and during regular visits to Italy - I have native-level fluency and cultural understanding that I can share with students. My strong mathematical foundation, combined with a natural ability to explain complex concepts clearly, allows me to help students build confidence in problem-solving. I've always enjoyed breaking down challenging topics into manageable steps, making them accessible and understandable. Additionally, I hold a 120-hour advanced TEFL certification, which has equipped me with specialized teaching techniques for language instruction.

From a remarkably young age, my journey has been defined by an insatiable curiosity and a multi-disciplinary drive—whether I was writing poetry and stories, teaching mathematics, repairing bicycles, phones, and computers, or mastering multiple musical instruments. Driven by deep planning, discipline, and consistency, I possess the proven ability to learn and master any skill from novice to advanced level. Over nine years of teaching Mathematics and English across diverse age groups—and designing my own custom educational materials—I have empowered learners to truly understand complex concepts, with 90 percent of my students significantly improving both their academic performance and work ethic. This impact led local schools to invite me specifically to help break down advanced mathematical concepts for their classes. Parallel to my teaching, my background in technology spans practical software development, data science, systems administration, and security. I code fluently in Python and JavaScript, hold intermediate proficiency in C, C++, C#, Java, and PHP, and build custom, accurate software tools that automate workflows and dramatically reduce operational time. Highly adaptable across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, I leverage my advanced mathematical background alongside cloud computing to group, sort, organize, and analyze complex datasets into meaningful, actionable insights. I am proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) to optimize business efficiency, and I maintain a solid foundation in cybersecurity to perform safety tests, protect systems, and execute proper threat response measures. Beyond technical and academic expertise, I am a dedicated communicator, mediator, and community mentor. I take pride in explaining products and services with clarity, treating every customer with respect, and stepping in as a neutral third party to resolve conflicts with win-win solutions. Grounded in empathy, I deliver motivational talks on life, technology, the arts, and mathematics, and I have spent my spare time teaching piano, guitar, and vocals to youth as a constructive outlet against depression, violence, and substance abuse. Ultimately, I don't work merely for a salary; I work to learn, teach, innovate, and collaborate, combining ideas with diverse teams to build healthy, successful systems where quality solutions thrive. I am a passionate educator with over 12 years of experience teaching Mathematics, dedicated to helping students build confidence and excel in their studies. Throughout my teaching career, I have supported learners across Key Stages 2, 3, and 4, as well as GCSE (AQA, OCR, Edexcel), AS Level, and A Level Mathematics. Beyond classroom instruction and private tutoring, I extend my impact by authoring mathematics books and developing educational apps designed to make complex concepts clear, engaging, and accessible. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, alongside a BSc in Computer Science—a combination that allows me to bridge the gap between theoretical elegance and practical innovation. While my work in mathematics gives me the tools to decode complex patterns, structure rigorous logic, and model the universe's most intricate problems, my studies in computer science allow me to bring those abstract formulas to life through code, algorithm design, and software engineering. I don't just study equations on a page or lines of code on a screen; I build a unified discipline where mathematical precision fuels technological solutions, transforming raw logic into real-world impact. My teaching practice is deeply informed by educational psychology, allowing me to understand how individual learners process information and tailor my approach to their unique learning styles. I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent learners, including students with ADHD and dyslexia, and I adapt strategies to foster an inclusive, structured, and encouraging environment. Having worked with a diverse range of international students, I often communicate with learners in their home languages to build trust, bridge cultural gaps, and ensure complex concepts are fully understood. Driven by a strong belief in lifelong learning and effective communication, my work spans multiple disciplines. In addition to tutoring mathematics, I serve as an Air Traffic Service Officer—where precision, analytical thinking, and high-stakes problem-solving are paramount—and perform as a musician, blending technical expertise with creative passion. I explore the beauty of pure mathematical theory and apply it directly to real-world challenges. By taking abstract concepts, patterns, and complex equations, I translate them into practical solutions for modern problems. Whether it's modeling complex systems, analyzing data, or building logical frameworks, my focus is on using the power of mathematics to make sense of the world and build better solutions for the future.

Hello! My name is Daher Salameh and I'm a mechanical engineer. I have a master's degree in mechanical engineering and currently work as an R&D engineer. I always had a passion for teaching and valued education a lot, as it's our tool to build a better future for ourselves and keep moving forward as individuals and as a society. My area of expertise in teaching is mainly Math and Physics (but also taught other subjects), and I have more than 5 years of experience in this field. Moreover, I have gained extensive experience in the AQA, Edexcel, and OCR exam boards. Throughout the years, I have learned to deliver concepts to my students in ways they have never seen before — that I believe are interesting — which encourages them to learn. I always try to present the physical significance behind every concept, the intuition behind the formulas, and the relation of everything academic to its real life counterpart. I hope you'll learn from and enjoy my lessons because I certainly enjoy giving them! I have completed a BSc in mechanical engineering in 2022, then an MSc in applied mechanics and thermal sciences in 2025. I have done extensive work in the fields of dynamics, simulation, software development, and AI. Apart from working in those fields, I like working on cars, doing calisthenics, and solving puzzles like the Rubik's cube.
