I am basically a B.Sc.-qualified technical person who became a language teacher while working as a computer programmer/systems analyst in Switzerland. I teach regularly online & face-to-face and the languages taught are English, French, German & elementary Arabic. I have been tutoring online for over 5 years, working for such organisations as Berlitz & the British Council. I live near Durham, UK, and have a very wide range of student types, ranging from young learners under 10 to mature business people learning a language for their retirement. After many years in French-speaking Europe, north Africa, the Arabian Gulf, Chile & central Asia, I now live near Durham, UK, and have had a very wide range of student types, ranging from young learners under 10 to mature business people learning a language for their retirement. Although language teaching is my main activity, I can also teach PC windows-technique, Microsoft utilities, and a few GCSE subjects. My EFL (English as a Foreign Language) specialities are IELTS preparation for both Academic & General Training candidates. After O/A-levels and completing an Ordinary National Diploma in Engineering, I chose to do a Computer Science degree at N. Staffordshire Polytechnic because it was possible to study French intensively alongside. This meant that the 3rd (industrial) year had to be spent in a French-speaking country and in my case that was Switzerland, where I spent a year at CERN in Geneva. To become an English language teacher I obtained the CTEFLA in Geneva in 1995 and went on to study for the DELTA.

Hi! My name is Dipasha and I’m currently a final year Pharmacology student at Queen Mary University of London, with a strong interest in academic research and medicine. Outside of my studies, I enjoy playing tennis and badminton. I also love to explore different places in London and listen to music! I really enjoy teaching, and I look forward to supporting students to reach their goals :) I am currently in my final year studying BSc Pharmacology and Innovative Therapeutics at Queen Mary University of London, where I am about to graduate with a first class degree. Prior to this, I completed my A-levels, where I built a strong academic foundation in science and developed effective study and exam techniques. I also performed very well at GCSE level, which reflects my academic ability and strong understanding of core subjects. Alongside my studies, I have gained experience supporting other students with their learning, helping to break down complex topics and build confidence, which has strengthened both my communication skills and ability to adapt to different learning styles.

I achieved an A* in Spanish at both GCSE and A-level, as well as a first-class degree specialising in French and Spanish Interpreting and Translation, and have tutored Spanish A-level students (CCEA Northern Ireland Specification) for two years. I look forward to helping you to reach your Spanish language goals :) I achieved 9A* at GCSE and A*A*A at A-level. I then decided to specialise in languages, studying an MA (Hons) in Translation and Interpretation (French and Spanish) at Heriot-Watt University. I completed a year abroad, studying at Université Lyon Lumiere 2 and Universidad de Granada.

I’m an aerospace engineer and passionate educator with a deep love for science, learning, and space exploration. I’m multilingual, naturally curious about how things work, and genuinely invested in helping students not just pass exams, but develop a real understanding of the material. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Double Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, complemented by a formal Teaching Diploma. Throughout my academic journey, I consistently ranked in the top of my cohort—including ranking 6th nationally in official examinations. My technical background combined with specialized teacher training means I can explain mathematics and physics concepts with both depth and clarity, tailored to students at all levels from Primary through A-Level and GCSE.
