Hello! I'm a passionate and dedicated tutor currently pursuing my MSc in Financial Mathematics at the University of Birmingham. Previously, I was working full-time as a Quantitative Analyst at a Market Maker / Hedge Fund and spent time working in Venture Capital also. Trireme Market Maker, Quantitative Analyst Internship, Jun-Jun 2024: • Gathered data from 5+ APIs, such as MEXC, Gate.IO and Kucoin for future listing volume forecasting on the previously mentioned CEXs and employed Python multiprocessing libraries and utilised vectorisation with NumPy and Pandas to efficiently clean and standardise data. • Built and deployed high-accuracy volume prediction models (Random Forest and XGBoost) for the first 5, 15 and 30 minutes of trading on newly listed client tokens, providing valuable insights for traders. • Built and deployed 2, 3 and 4 state Hidden Markov Models to forecast the future state/market regime of Bitcoin to understand the state distributions of each given state with the goal of determining the correlations between states. J.P Morgan Chase & Co, Quantitative Researcher Internship, Jul 2023-Aug 2023: • Supported with research in interest rate derivatives trading across EMEA and APAC markets, focusing on options pricing models and volatility surface construction for complex derivative instruments including caps, floors, and swaptions. • Collaborated on non-linear rates product development and risk management, implementing statistical models and time series analysis to support trading strategies and hedge effectiveness testing for interest rate exposure. • Conducted daily market data analysis and model validation processes, utilising Python and statistical libraries to maintain pricing accuracy and risk metrics for the derivatives book.
