Hi! I’m Asmaa, I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Biochemistry. I am passionate about all things science and motivated by the opportunity to help students understand and enjoy sciences and maths while gaining confidence in their abilities and achieving their academic goals. Both sciences and maths can sometimes feel overwhelming, full of complex processes and unfamiliar terminology, but I believe that these subjects become quite fascinating with the right support and guidance. My goal is to focus on breaking down challenging ideas into simple, manageable steps using visual tools, analogies, and real-life examples to bring the content to life. As a tutor, I take a student-centred approach, tailoring each lesson to your individual needs and learning styles. I'm Oscar, a mathematics tutor with an Integrated Master's in Mathematics (First Class honours) from the University of Bath. I am now based in Berlin and am currently completing a MSc in Mathematics at Freie Universität with a focus in graph theory and network science. I've been tutoring maths (and sometimes chess!) both online and in-person for over a year now, and I have enjoyed every moment of it; I like to focus on building a deep conceptual understanding for each student, rather than just simply teaching pattern-matching to exam questions. Tailoring the way I teach to the unique way in which each student learns is one of my favourite parts of getting to know a new student. I attended Ilkley Grammar School in West Yorkshire, England between the ages of 11-18. Here I attained 10 GCSEs (all A*s), 3 A-levels in Maths (A*), Further Maths (A*) and English Literature (A*) alongside an AS-level in Physics (a). I then enrolled at the University of Bath in 2022 on an Integrated Master's course in mathematics, graduating in July 2026 with first class honours and a grade of 84% on my final year dissertation in Probability Theory. I am currently enrolled at Freie Universität and will be completing an MSc in Mathematics, specialising in Graph Theory and Network Science.

Hi! I’m Akhshaya, and my passion for teaching has grown since secondary school. I’ve taught at two tutoring centres, where I gained experience supporting students with a wide range of abilities, learning styles, and learning difficulties. I’m passionate about making tricky concepts feel simple and helping students build confidence step by step. Finally, my comfort shows are Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra; I like to play netball, skateboard, and sing! I am a second‑year Biomedical Engineering student at King’s College London, where I study modules such as Medical Physics, Clinical Engineering, and Professional Issues in Biomedical Engineering. My academic background combines strong analytical skills with a passion for STEM education. I completed my A‑Levels in Maths, Physics, and Biology at Beal High School and I have experience applying these subjects through both university coursework and tutoring. Additionally, I have completed my diploma in Carnatic Music.

I'm someone who genuinely enjoys learning and sharing what I know with others. I like solving problems, breaking down challenging concepts into simple steps, and helping students build confidence as they learn. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy creative hobbies like knitting and crochet, which have taught me patience, attention to detail, and the value of practicing new skills. I believe learning works best when students feel supported, comfortable asking questions, and encouraged to learn at their own pace. I am currently completing a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of South Africa (UNISA), specialising in Mathematics and Computer Science. My studies have covered areas such as mathematical analysis, problem-solving, programming, and computational concepts. I have experience working with programming languages including Python, C++, and MATLAB, and have developed strong analytical and logical reasoning skills through my coursework.
