Hi! I’m Mehmood, 19 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly — I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! Some cool facts about me: I speak English, Pashto and Urdu. Also, I have a 4-year-old tabby cat called Misty, and I’m one of six siblings! I’d describe myself as calm, composed, and confident—and I’m excited to share my tips and tricks to help others rise to the top of their academics. I attended St. Peter's RC High School in Gorton, where I studied separate sciences, business, geography, religious studies, and core subjects, achieving 6 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s. I then studied biology, psychology, and chemistry at Loreto Sixth Form College, earning A*AB in my A-levels. During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS). Alongside my academic journey, I’ve been a private tutor for the past two years, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades in science and math. I also completed a 3-week teaching internship at COOP Academy, delivering science lessons to Year 8 and 9 students. Additionally, I’ve gained valuable clinical experience working in GP practices and hospital settings, consulting with patients and developing strong communication and empathy skills. I am Nibin Kuzhikkamthadam Roy and I'm very interested in applying for the post of Mathematics Teacher. I completed my post-graduate degree in Actuarial Science at the University of Kent, along with a 2.1 in BSc in Mathematics, and I'm working as a Mathematics Teacher at Technology College. I am confident that I have the requisite skills and the potential to inspire and encourage children of all abilities to reach their full potential. My work experience and academic knowledge allowed me to experience life in a secondary school setting from a teacher's perspective. I enjoyed the way that every day is different and that each child is unique. I have 4 years of classroom teaching experience and worked as the academic head of the mathematics department. I wrote three academic books for that organization. I started teaching when I was studying in year 12, which is my passion. I worked part-time during my post-graduate time in a child park for helping differently-abled young persons. I am a good orator with communication and debate skills and served as a student member of the board of studies at the University of Kent. I was appointed as an innovation council member of Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, and also served as School union chairman and College Union General Secretary at the school and college levels. In my school days, I won the mathematics Olympiad prize. These roles have developed my skills in public speaking, liaising with a large number of people, planning, organizing and taking responsibility for managing programs. I’m a 21 year old dental student studying in Bulgaria. I’ve taught students in the past, mainly during their GCSEs and A Levels, and I’m really excited to start teaching again. I’ve always been passionate about helping others learn because not only does it allow me to support students in building their confidence and understanding but it also strengthens my own knowledge. Outside of teaching, I love baking, painting, and playing sports like badminton :) I attended Nower Hill High School for both GCSEs and A-Levels.
