I am currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Surrey. I can teach up to A-Level Maths. I have exam board experience for Edexcel GCSE Maths and OCR B MEI A-Level Maths. I am fluent in both English and Tamil. I am looking to teach anyone of all ages! I am only familiar with the English Curriculum (OCR, Edexcel, and AQA). I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels at Langley Grammar School and achieved an 8 in Maths at GSCE and a C in Maths at A-Level (5 marks off from a B). Since then I joined the University of Surrey and I am currently a 2nd year undergraduate in Chemical Engineering.

I'm Ben and have an MSci and BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in Chemistry. I have always loved learning about the sciences as they are so applicable to the world around us. I believe that every student should have positive learning experiences in the sciences. I have over two years' experience in tutoring A-Level/GCSE Maths and Science. Furthermore, I have achieved an A* grade in every A-Level subject and a grade 9 in every GCSE subject that I offer. I have invaluable knowledge of exam board specifications, how to best prepare for upcoming examinations, and how to secure those top grades. I am friendly and patient in my approach and want to help each student reach their full potential, regardless of their academic background or the level they are currently working at. I find it rewarding to help my students achieve their academic goals and see them progress to their next steps. I am very flexible in my tutoring style as I recognise every student takes a different approach to learning. I put an emphasis on working towards a goal for the student and adapt my teaching methods and resources to each individual. We don't need to learn by heart most of the things required to pass with flying colors. As your mentor, I pursue with fervor the breaking down of concepts and getting to the bottom of them. Once we achieve this, you won't have to revise said concepts ever again. - What if you find exams particularly tough? Isn't it annoying when you know the material but still can't get those marks? Throughout this particular academic endeavour, I studied biomechanics and anatomy, with a solid knowledge of their application to weightlifting.
