Hi! My name is Maryam. I'm 19 years old and a second-year midwifery student with a passion for healthcare and science. Studying midwifery has helped me appreciate the importance of having a solid understanding of biology as a foundation for anyone wanting to pursue a career in healthcare or related degrees. I tutor GCSE Biology with a focus on helping students build strong foundational knowledge in core topics such as cells, Organisation, Infection and Response, and Bioenergetics. I guide students through exam past paper questions helping them to identify and learn from their mistakes, develop exam technique and strengthen understanding by application of knowledge. Some of my hobbies include going on nature walks, baking and reading. I love spending time with my family and friends. I am a First-Class Computer Systems Engineering graduate. Mathematics and Computing have been central to both my academic journey and professional experience. With 11 years of teaching and tutoring experience across GCSE and A-Level, I have developed a strong understanding of the UK curriculum and the common challenges students face. I enjoy helping students move from confusion to clarity by breaking complex topics into structured, logical steps. Beyond improving grades, my goal is to help students build confidence and develop deep, sustained understanding. I believe Mathematics and Computing should feel logical and empowering — not intimidating. I completed my BSc in Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Westminster, graduating with First-Class Honours. My degree gave me a strong foundation in programming (Python, C++, C, VHDL and Assembly), embedded systems, microcontrollers, hardware design and robotics. During my studies, I led and contributed to several technical projects, including designing FIR filters using VHDL, programming PIC and MBED microcontrollers, and developing software systems in C++ and Python. I was also recognised with academic excellence awards for my performance. Prior to university, I completed my A-Level certification at Ahmadu Bello University, studying Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, and earlier obtained my secondary school leaving certificate at Livingstone College . Alongside my academic background, I have over 11 years of experience teaching and tutoring GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, as well as several years teaching Computing. I have worked in UK secondary schools as a Teaching Assistant supporting STEM subjects and SEN students, and as an online tutor delivering structured, results-driven lessons. My specialisation lies in Mathematics and Computer Science, particularly breaking complex, abstract ideas into logical, manageable steps that build deep and lasting understanding.

Hiya! My name is Saskia, I am 18 years old and currently studying (BA) Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham. My hobbies include playing rugby and watching f1. I just completed my A-levels this past summer in Psychology, Biology and Maths, and I specialise in teaching psychology (A-level). I love revisiting A-level topics, especially social influence and memory. I completed 10 GCSEs in 2023 (at the Royal Latin School), and then went on to achieve 3 A-levels in Mathematics, Psychology and Biology. I now study Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham. I have had experience in tutoring with bits of Maths and Psychology, but I will be specialising in tutoring Psychology A-level only for this platform.
