Hello! I am Reeshma and I offer tutoring in a variety of subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, 11+ and UKCAT/BMAT admission tests, English language (specifically), and Geography. I can cover KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-level (Biology and Chemistry) content from any exam board and will always ensure the content covered in lessons is relevant to the tutee’s requirements. I have the most experience with AQA for the Sciences and Edexcel for Mathematics. I also scored highly on the UKCAT/BMAT tests and am prepared to share my wisdom to tutees as I know what the problematic areas are and the best ways to tackle them. I am currently studying medicine and hence still very familiar with many of the concepts from A-level Biology and Chemistry, as much of what I study stems from knowledge acquired from GCSE and A-level Sciences. I am extremely enthusiastic about medicine, as the human body is one of my most profound fascinations, and I believe I can convey my enthusiasm for education through my lessons. In sixth form, I was a peer mentor and often had to help students struggling with their subjects, and so I have attained a plethora of knowledge on efficient methods to overcome revision and learning issues; furthermore, I am quite an active and independent learner and have trialled many different studying techniques in the past. Therefore, I can tailor my lessons to the tutee’s preferences, e.g., usage of more diagrams for visual learners and more verbal explanations for aural learners. I have the most experience tutoring mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, english, EPQ, UCAT/BMAT, school admission tests and reviewing personal statements for a variety of students at different levels, including KS2, KS3, GCSE, A-level and university level.

Hello. My name is Darren Beech and I have been a Science Teacher for 26 years. I have taught all three science specialisms at key stage 3 (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Biology and Chemistry at GCSE and A level Biology. I have taught all ability ranges over these years and have had exemplary success with the students in my classes. Having left main school teacher in the summer of 2025 to care for a disabled parent, I have moved into tutoring to continue passing on my passion for science and to help continue to get students to progress through their qualifications. Having completed my GCSE;s (1992) and A levels (1995), I moved to the University of Derby to complete a BSC (HONS) degree in Biology (1998) and then onto a PGCE (Secondary science) with DeMontfort University (1999).
