Hi, I am Naomi and I am thrilled to be your online tutor. I have had the pleasure of working with students from different ages and backgrounds. I am a tutor for Mathematics and my target students are primary to secondary students. Everyone has a unique learning style, and I like to adapt my teaching approach to meet each student’s needs. I use the online interactive whiteboard for lessons which allows both parties to write, annotate or highlight on the screen. The work for every lesson is carefully designed to suit each individual's need which is identified from initial assessment and ongoing observations. I enjoy teaching because I love helping students to develop their skills and achieve their academic goals. Levels and subjects I teach: GCSE: Mathematics KS3: Mathematics 11 plus: Mathematics I graduated from Imperial College London in BSc in Chemistry with Management with First Class Honours. For A Level, I achieved A in Maths, Chemistry and Accounting and also B in Physics For GCSE, I had 9 GCSEs including 7 A in Maths, Science, Commerce, Geography, etc My academic excellence serves as a strong foundation in tutoring as I can explain concepts clearly ensuring students grasp the material effectively. My experience in tackling challenging problems equips me with strategies to help students approach difficult questions with confidence and precision.

I’m a 25-year-old dentist with a passion for both my studies and my hobbies. In my free time, I love taking dance classes, which allow me to express myself creatively and stay active. I’m enthusiastic about learning, whether it’s perfecting dental techniques or mastering new dance moves. My friends describe me as approachable and energetic. I started my academic journey at Beaconsfield High School, where I completed my GCSE. I thoroughly enjoyed GCSE Maths the most. I then took on A-levels in Maths, Chemistry, and Biology, which fueled my passion for pursuing a career in dentistry. After finishing my A-levels, I decided to study abroad at Plovdiv Medical University in Bulgaria. It’s been an amazing experience! Overall, my educational background has equipped me with the knowledge and skills I need for my career.

ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I'm into all sorts of things if I'm honest. I am a keen traveller (but who isn't nowadays), audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or more mature students for ESL, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: Experience of all English assessment boards, but especially AQA and Edexcel in the, and WJEC/Eduqas and OCR to a lesser extent. Languages: English: as a first language to advanced/professional level. Turkish: fluent to college level, but nor advanced enough for teaching purposes.

Educational background: Bachelor of Education and Honours in Education Experience: 9 years teaching experience My passion is education and I spend a lot of my time learning, improving myself as well as my professional development. I worked towards an undergraduate education degree where I qualified as a an educator, specialising in English. After working a year, I decided to apply for a part-time postgraduate degree in education, where I focused on learning about inclusive education and educational psychology. I also wrote a research paper about improving teaching strategies in the classroom. After deciding to move to France, I then took a course for how to teach English online to all age groups, from young children to adults. I also completed an advanced grammar and business English course. Currently, I'm teaching Cambridge English to young children and teenagers. I help students prepare for IGCES, GCSES and A levels. I also teach ESL to all age groups. At the moment, I am learning French and I'm currently on a B1 level in my language development.
