Hi, I’m Safoora, currently a second-year medical student with a strong passion for education across a range of subjects. Medicine has taught me not just the importance of hard work, but also how to communicate complex ideas clearly and patiently — skills I bring into my tutoring sessions. I tutor GCSE Biology, chemistry, combined science and psychology, as well as KS3 and KS2 Science. I understand that subjects like biology and chemistry can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into manageable, straightforward steps tailored to how each student learns best. I received my early education at three different primary schools, which provided me with a strong academic foundation. I then completed my GCSEs at a college and pursued A-levels at a community school. I am now a second-year medical student at the University of Nottingham.

With years of experience as a former engineer in a Japanese multinational company, I’ve had the opportunity to live and work in Japan, Thailand, and Germany. With my engineering background, I also have a solid foundation in some Physics. Finally, I have Japanese Language Proficiency N3 (Intermediate) Level certification, so I can teach N5-N4 (Beginner and Upper Beginner) level Japanese to those who are interested in this language.

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic student who takes pride in balancing strong academic performance with personal interests. For my A-levels, I chose to specialise in Chemistry, BTEC Business and Mathematics—two rigorous and highly analytical subjects. I am currently studying at the University of Birmingham, where I continue to build on the knowledge and skills developed during my earlier education. Being part of a leading academic institution has exposed me to a higher level of independent learning, critical analysis, and academic responsibility.
