I’ve had many years of experience volunteering with schools helping students excel in subjects that they find difficult. I’ve always had a passion for science leading me to have a career in microbiology so I know tutoring biology would be a strong suit. Hopefully, I can encourage more students, especially young women to pursue a future in STEM. I loved maths back in school and I do find myself still doing random mathematical questions as I love the subject. I was my favourite back in school. My teacher made English enjoyable and allowed me to have creative responsibilities, making me want to pass that on to the next generation. Apart from my educational background, I enjoy art, allowing me to be more creative and express myself in a different light. But apart from my academics, Im very...

Hi! I’m a second-year Geography student at the University of Birmingham with a genuine passion for helping students unlock their full potential. Although I was initially predicted CCD at A-level, I achieved AAB on results day, something I’m incredibly proud of. This experience has shaped the way I tutor. I understand what it feels like to doubt your ability, and more importantly, I know exactly how to turn things around. My goal is to help my students achieve the same transformation or even better! I have over a year of tutoring experience, and I truly find it one of the most rewarding things I do. Seeing students grow in confidence and improve their grades is why I love teaching. Subjects & Exam Boards Geography GCSE: SQA, AQA, Edexcel A-Level: AQA, Edexcel Sociology GCSE: AQA A-Level: AQA English Language & Literature GCSE: AQA (texts may vary) A-Level English Literature: AQA (texts may vary) Education experiences: I am currently a second-year Geography student at the University of Birmingham, where I am developing a strong academic foundation in both physical and human geography. My degree has strengthened my analytical thinking, essay writing, research skills and ability to interpret complex data, all of which I integrate into my tutoring. At A-Level, I exceeded expectations by achieving AAB, despite being predicted significantly lower grades. This experience has shaped my academic mindset and my approach to tutoring. I understand the importance of effective revision strategies, exam technique, and building confidence alongside subject knowledge.

Hi, I’m Nushra Imtiyas a passionate and dedicated teacher of Mathematics and English, committed to helping students grow in both confidence and ability. I believe learning should never feel overwhelming, but instead be engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable. Whether it’s analysing a text or solving a challenging Maths problem, I design lessons that spark curiosity and build independent thinking. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, clear, and relatable steps, making learning easier and more effective. My teaching style is interactive and student-centered, where students are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and actively participate. In English, learners explore characters, themes, and real-life connections, while in Maths, concepts are linked to everyday situations to make them practical and easy to understand. I use visuals, real-world examples, guided practice, and engaging activities to support every learner. Most importantly, I focus on building confidence step by step, celebrating progress and helping students move from “I don’t understand” to “I’ve got this.” Beyond teaching, I enjoy reading, playing netball, and jogging, which helps me stay energetic, focused, and positive in every lesson. For me, teaching is not just about academics it is about inspiring confidence, developing resilience, and helping students reach their full potential. I graduated with a degree in Software Engineering, with a strong focus on English, Mathematics, and Information Technology. This combination has given me a balanced approach to teaching, blending logical thinking with creativity. Over the past six years, I have taught and tutored students of different ages and abilities, which has helped me grow not only as a teacher but also as a supportive mentor. My academic background has strengthened my understanding of language, problem-solving, and effective communication. Through my experience, I have developed the ability to plan lessons that are clear, engaging, and well-structured, making learning feel manageable rather than overwhelming. I adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs, whether a student benefits more from visuals, discussions, hands-on practice, or step-by-step guidance. This flexibility allows each student to learn in a way that works best for them, helping them progress with confidence. Most importantly, I aim to create a warm, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. I strongly believe that teaching is not just about delivering content, but about building confidence and helping students realize their full potential. Every lesson is designed to support growth, motivate learners, and make them feel capable of achieving their goals.

I’m a 25-year-old dentist with a passion for both my studies and my hobbies. In my free time, I love taking dance classes, which allow me to express myself creatively and stay active. I’m enthusiastic about learning, whether it’s perfecting dental techniques or mastering new dance moves. My friends describe me as approachable and energetic. I started my academic journey at Beaconsfield High School, where I completed my GCSE. I thoroughly enjoyed GCSE Maths the most. I then took on A-levels in Maths, Chemistry, and Biology, which fueled my passion for pursuing a career in dentistry. After finishing my A-levels, I decided to study abroad at Plovdiv Medical University in Bulgaria. It’s been an amazing experience! Overall, my educational background has equipped me with the knowledge and skills I need for my career.
