I hold a strong academic and professional background in Spanish language, culture, and education. I graduated in Hispanic Studies and later completed an MA at the University of Glasgow, where I developed advanced knowledge of Spanish and Latin American literature, history, politics, and cultural studies. My academic training gave me a deep appreciation of the richness and diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, from Golden Age literature to contemporary Latin American society. I am also a published poet. I have experience of teaching English Language and Literature. Alongside my academic qualifications, I also completed a PGCE and obtained Qualified Teacher Status through the St Mary's University. This provided me with strong pedagogical foundations in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and differentiated learning. I have experience teaching students of different ages and abilities and aim to create engaging lessons that build both confidence and linguistic competence. I have lived and travelled extensively in Spain and Latin America, experiences that significantly enriched my understanding of regional accents, idiomatic language, social customs, and cultural traditions. These experiences allow me to bring authenticity and real-world context into the classroom. My particular interests include Hispanic literature, contemporary Spanish and Latin American politics, cultural identity, film, and music. I am especially interested in helping students understand not only the mechanics of the language but also the cultural perspectives that shape communication across the Spanish-speaking world. I believe language learning should be intellectually stimulating, culturally immersive, and accessible to all learners. I attended Westminster School (10 O levels, 3 A levels), attained a 2:1 MA in Hispanic Studies at the university of Glasgow, completed my phd finance modules at university of Essex in 0212, received my QTS and PGCE from St Mary's university in 2024. I taught Spanish at Three Rivers Academy and GNSA in Hayes. My specialisations are Hispanic Culture, Literature and Art. I am an expert on world poetry and drama.

Before university, I achieved top marks in BTEC Applied Science, and my degree has continued to build on that foundation through detailed scientific study. I tutor GCSE Combined Science, Biology, and Chemistry, focusing on helping students properly understand topics rather than just memorising facts. I know science can become confusing quickly when concepts start building on each other, so I aim to explain things clearly, break them down into simple steps, and make them feel more manageable. My teaching style is patient, straightforward, and focused on what actually helps students improve. I want students to feel more confident with the subject, not just get through the lesson. Hallo! Ich heiße Korinna Kilián. Ich studiere Psychologie und liebe mit Menschen zusammenarbeiten. In meiner Freizeit trainiere ich gerne und mache immer etwas kreativ, wie zum Beispiel zeichnen, tanzen oder etwas basteln.:) Außerdem höre ich gerne Musik, wandere und sehe Serien & Filme. Wenn es möglich ist, verbringe ich den ganzen Tag in der Natur. Meine Lieblingsaussicht ist der Sonnenuntergang. Meine Grundschule war die Innerstädtische Grundschule. Da bin ich im deutschen Klassenzug gegangen. Danach habe ich Deutsch als Fremdsprache im Leőwey Klára Gymnasium gelernt. Dort habe ich mein Sprachdiplom gemacht. Jetzt studiere ich an der Universität in Pécs. Mein Spezialgebiet ist Mathe, in der ich erfolgreich meine Abiturprüfung abgelegt habe.

I am tutoring in Sociology and Religious Studies. I am currently studying for a BA in Sociology at the University of Warwick. I provide a flexible teaching style where everything is tailored to you. I am the welfare officer for Warwick STAR and I also have experience volunteering at primary and secondary schools and youth clubs. I have achieved a grade 4-9 in all of my GCSE'S. At college I studied criminology and sociology and I am now studying for a ba in Sociology at the University of Warwick.
