Hello, My name is Siviwe Msibi, I am a very social person, an animal lover and a very practical person. I love logical debates and have a great time reading up on facts I do not know. My personality is closely linked to my hobbies and this is attributed to my upbringing. I grew up in a very lively environment. This has made me very adventurous and am a risk taker. For my primary education, I started in Eswatini, then after a year went to South Africa in the upper foundational phase. As a current university student, I understand the challenges of academic work and exams. I hope to instil resilience and confidence in students by offering clear explanations, practical study strategies and focused support tailored to each students goals. My sessions are structured but friendly and help students feel comfortable whilst making real progress. I graduated Secondary School with 3 A Levels: English Literature (A*), Politics and Government (A*), History of Art (A) and and Extended Project Qualification (A). I am currently a student of the Dual BA Program between Trinity College Dublin and Columbia University meaning I am working on two BA degrees (one from each institution) simultaneously over four years. Both degrees are in English Literature but I hope to minor in History of Art for my Columbia degree.

Hi! I’m a multilingual Chemical Engineering student at the University of Edinburgh. I teach Spanish, English, Maths and Chemistry, adapting each lesson to the student’s level, goals and learning style. I focus on clear explanations, practical examples and interactive exercises to help students build confidence, improve their understanding and make steady progress. I am patient, approachable and happy to support both schoolwork and exam preparation. I am currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, where my degree combines advanced Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, programming and engineering problem-solving. Before university, I completed secondary education (Spanish Baccalaureate) in Spain following a scientific curriculum. I also spent an academic year abroad in New York, which strengthened my English, independence and ability to adapt to an international learning environment. I hold a Cambridge C2 qualification in English and am fully fluent in Spanish, English, and Catalan, allowing me to support students confidently in these languages as well as in STEM subjects.

I have teaching experience with both college and high school students, which has allowed me to work with learners from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles. In my classes, students can expect interactive discussions, fun activities, and practical examples that make learning meaningful and enjoyable. I also use various tools and resources to support every learner’s growth. My edge as a teacher lies in my background in Values Education and my commitment to nurturing not only academic growth, but also character, empathy, and ethical responsibility. I believe education should shape both the mind and the heart.
