Hi! I’m Jasnit, a second-year medical student and a friendly, enthusiastic Maths and Science tutor. I enjoy helping students build both their confidence and understanding, and I aim to make lessons clear, engaging and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I achieved Grade 9s in GCSE Maths, Biology, Physics and Chemistry, alongside A* grades in A-Level Biology and Chemistry and an A in A-Level Maths. Having recently gone through these exams myself, I understand how challenging certain topics can feel and how important it is to have the right support. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your foundations, improve your grades or prepare for exams, I’ll work at your pace and help you develop the knowledge, confidence and exam skills you need to succeed. I am a second-year Medical student at the University of Birmingham, having completed my A-Levels at Wolverhampton Girls’ High School, achieving A* grades in Biology and Chemistry and an A in Mathematics. I completed my GCSEs at Queen Mary’s High School, achieving Grade 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. My specialisations are Maths and the Sciences, particularly Biology.

Hello, I am a final year student at the University of Southampton studying Mathematics with Computer Science. I achieved A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths and Physics repectively at A level. This summer I spent time working with experienced teachers, teaching mathematics in a secondary school, they gave me lots of advice and valuable insights that I will use to help you achieve your goals in your future. During GCSE's at Chesham grammar, I achieved a 9 in Maths while only missing out on a total of 7 marks across all 3 papers. I also achieved 9s in Biology and Chemistry with an 8 in Physics. At A level, studying at St Dominic's Sixth Form College, I achieved A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths and Physics respectively. At the University of Southampton, I am currently in my final year studying Mathematics with Computer Science, I have achieved an average grade of 80% in my first 2 years of study and am on track to graduate with a 1st.

--- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.

I am a disciplined and motivated university student with a strong interest in analytical thinking and problem-solving. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, logical steps and helping students build confidence through understanding rather than memorisation. I value consistency, clarity, and progress, and I aim to make learning structured, approachable, and effective. I am currently studying Economics and Mathematics at university, where my studies focus on quantitative analysis, logical reasoning, and real-world application of theory. Prior to university, I studied at a grammar school, developing a strong academic foundation and disciplined work ethic that I now apply both to my studies and to tutoring.
